Ursula could hardly contain her excitement. She was finally going to get to go to Glowerhaven. It was like a dream that she never wanted to wake up from. She reached the dock, and stared up happily at the Jolly Roger. She only hoped that the Captain hadn't changed his mind.. She also hoped that her father hadn't found out her plans. She saw Captain Hook walking ahead of her, heading toward the ship. "Captain!" She called out, beaming brightly. She couldn't wipe that smile off her face.. she was just far too happy. "I hope i'm not too early!" She would miss the tavern.. she would miss singing for the townspeople. But this.. this was what was calling her. The open Sea that lead to Glowerhaven.
"I.. I wanted to thank you before we leave. Please.. allow me to give you something in return for taking me to Glowerhaven." She held out a small coin purse that held all of her earnings she had made in the tavern. "I have no use for money, and I was saving it to get far from here anyway.. And i'd like for you to have it." She wasn't sure if he'd actually take it..but she couldn't live with herself if she didn't at least try.

Tag: @seawitch Note: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION For the first time since Milah's death, Hook had felt his heart at peace -- even if it had only been for a few moments. Those few moments, had been all that the pirate had craved for so long of torment. Who knew that a single woman's voice had the power to do that. It was why he wished to do something in return for her; why he wanted to help her and not for any reason of his own, or for his own selfish purposes. She genuinely deserved it, for giving him just a moment's peace in his heart, soul, and mind. The next morning, as was arranged, she came to the docks at her beautiful smile was contagious as he returned the expression.
Her gift was as rare as her beauty and Hook found himself rather drawn to her -- but not in the 'I'm going to crash my ship' kind of way. "Morning, love," he greeted in return, approaching her. "Never too early," he assured her as his men were nearly done preparations to leave. He glanced down at the coin purse she held out and then made eye contact with her again as she said that she wanted to give him something in return. He had told her at the tavern that she wouldn't need coin for the trip if he took her and he meant it. "Tell you what love, you keep the coin. And in exchange for passage . . . just, sing for us pirates occasionally," he said with a smile. Of course he wouldn't force her or anything, for the purity of her voice, the beauty of it, was heightened when she did it with the same joy and willingness he had heard at the tavern. There was a difference in it with the way she sang to lure them to the rocks, and the way she sang of her own volition.

Ursula wasn't surprised when the Captain didn't take her money..but she was a little shocked when he asked her to sing for the crew as a way to make 'payment' for her trip to Glowerhaven. "That, I most certainly can do. At least let me buy you all a round of drinks then, when we get there." She gave him a playful wink, and a bright smile. "I'd be honored to sing for you all. I'm just.. so happy." She couldn't help herself anymore. She lunged forward, and wrapped her arms around Hook, giving him a hug. "This means so much to me.. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart." She closed her eyes and sighed. After a moment, she realized she was still embracing the man, and she stepped away, suddenly feeling her cheeks turn warm. "Sorry," she mused with a grin.
As the two of them walked on to the ship, she suddenly felt as though this were really happening. Of course she knew it was..but now.. it was real. The crew seemed to be already starting to get things ready to set sail. She didn't know where Glowerhaven was.. or even how far it would be... but she knew it would be worth it. "I don't have any belongings.. and I have no one to say goodbye to..so i'm ready when you are, Captain.. and when your crew is."

Tag: @seawitch Note: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION He continued to smile when she spoke of allowing him to buy them all a drink when they arrived. "I do believe it's bad form to let a lady buy us men a drink, particularly when I owe said lass for sparing my ship." He was well aware that she could have destroyed it had she kept singing, or had she continued to try to lure them to the rocks. She then stated that she was happy and her smile was contagious for it caused Hook's to remain in place. She then suddenly wrapped her arms around him in a hug. He stood there for a few moments, his arms out before he slowly reciprocated and gently placed his hand and hook on her back in return.
"You are very welcome, love. It brings me pleasure to know that you are happy." Because she deserved it. Not only for sparing his ship, but for how she had brought his heart to peace after a century of torment. Such a gift was priceless, and there was no way he could repay he for those few moments of serenity. She the pulled away, apologizing and he kept smiling in silent reassurance that it was quite alright. Once they boarded the ship she explained that she had no belongings, nor did she have anyone to say goodbye to. "We have some extra garments on the ship should you wish to change at any point." For their destination was a fair bit away. "Prepare to set sail, mates!" He announced to his men as everyone took position. "Are you ready for an adventure, lass?" He asked her with a grin.

Ursula didn't really know how humans worked, or what was considered good or bad.. so when Hook spoke of it being in bad form to buy a crew of men a drink, the siren simply smiled. "Is it? How strange... I wouldn't want to question the customs of humans, though. I am after all on your territory." She gave him a little flutter of her lashes. She wasn't intending to flirt, but it likely came off that way. She did think he was handsome..but..well..she tried to crash his ship! Sure, she stopped..but that wasn't really a great first impression. He then commented on how he owed her for sparing his ship, and she looked away, feeling her cheeks warming up. "I'm.. sorry again about that. I never wanted to hurt anyone...and i'm certainly glad I didn't hurt you.. Or, or your crew, of course!" Why was she feeling so flustered?! It must have been because of the excitement of adventure.
The pirate noted that it gave him pleasure to know she was happy.. How kind! It was further proof that her father was wrong.. not all pirates were horrible. Especially not these ones. He then told her that there were garments available, should she want to change clothes. "Oh! Thank you so much. I appreciate this.. all of this, more than you could know!" She spoke with a light bounce on her tip toes. Her excitement only grew when the Captain alerted his men to prepare to sail.. and then he asked if she was ready for an adventure. Ursula's smile grew brighter, and she looked at Hook with large, sparkling brown eyes.. "Yes!! I'm absolutely ready."
While the crew began to work, Ursula decided to inspire them with a song. She walked away from the Captain, and toward the raised point of the ship where the Captain would stand, so that way her voice was able to be projected out toward the entire crew - and she would be out of the way. She started to sing a song, one that sirens of old would sing to encourage sailors.. back when sailors and sirens worked together. One that her mother would sing in Glowerhaven to men who were about to embark on long, tedious journeys to get them by.
