Emma had befriended the giant. It was no simple task, but she'd managed to get him on her side, and he allowed her to go. She had a choice that she had to make.. Now. Part of her was telling her to leave him up there, so that she could have a head start with the compass.. that he wasn't to be trusted.. but she threw caution to the wind. She was still, after all, the savior - or so she was told.. So wasn't that what she was supposed to do? Save people? "Come on, we have to go," She told Killian. She kept ahold of the compass though.. just in case. She hurried down the beanstalk, and looked around frantically, making sure no one.. Unsavory was watching them. "I'm keeping this," she held the compass in her hand tightly. "For now. I'm going to trust you..." Because he had to have had a heart in there..somewhere. It showed when she saw his tattoo and he told her a brief version of the story.

He had tried to tell her, Mulan, Aurora, and Snow White that he was merely a blacksmith..but she didn't believe him for a second. Still though.. there was something about him that told her to trust him. There was also something that told her he wanted to harm Rumpelstiltskin, but that was for a different reason..and something that could have been handled later. "We have to find my mo... uh. My friends. Then we can go back to Storybrooke.. where I came from." Did he know about Storybrooke? Did he know this the whole time? These were questions that would have to be answered later. "Do you have anyone here? Friends? Loved ones?" She was prying..she needed to see just how easily he could lie. "Keep in mind.. i'm really talented at reading liars."
