Elsa mentally chided herself for making this decision. She didn't know the mayor that well, but she decided she needed to get on better terms with Regina. It was complicated, they sort of had a fire and ice thing going between them, but Regina seemed like a good person. At least, to Elsa.
Regina may have been the Evil Queen at one point, but she really didn't seem that way now. Plus, Regina had magic too and, as far as Elsa knew, she clearly had trouble fighting the darkness within her and letting the magic rule her life sometimes. Elsa completely understood that.
So, she did what any self respecting Queen would do while trying to befriend another Queen. She showed up at Reginas house with cookies. She knocked on the front door.

Regina had been relaxing at home, and she wanted to stay in bed all day and mope. She was starting to believe that she was just a villain after all. And that definitely meant that she didn't get happy endings.
A knock on Regina's door caused Regina to jerk out of her thoughts and look at the door with disgust. She swung her legs out of bed, grumbling under her breath. Who in the hell thought it was okay to come see the queen as she stayed home?
Swinging the door, Regina was surprised to see Elsa on the other side of the door. "Oh, it's you."

When Regina opened the door, Elsa was really starting to regret her decision. She looked angry, annoyed and... a little depressed. Elsa lifted the plate of cookies so that Regina could see them at eye level, "I was wondering if we could talk," she said softly.
Elsa wanted to be casual today, so she wore something Emma loaned her called 'jeans'. They were tight and hugged her ankles, which was a little strange for Elsa. She also wore a white shirt with elbow length sleeves. She just wanted Regina to see that Elsa was trying to accept the life of her town. After all, Regina basically created Storybrooke, didn't she?

Regina just stared at the woman in front of her for a moment as she seemed to be offering Regina some cookies. A thin eyebrow raised, she sighed and moved out of the way to allow her inside.
Regina honestly didn't know why she was doing this, but she would at least hear Elsa out and maybe they could be on speaking terms. She did notice that Elsa was in different attire than what she usually was and she was curious. "Yes. we can talk. But where did you get those clothes?"

It would be a lie if Elsa said she wasn't surprised by the fact that Regina did step aside and allow her to enter. Elsa entered slowly, still partly regretting this decision. But if she was going to be here for a while, shouldn't she at least try to befriend Reinga? Even if the woman could melt Elsas ice castle in under a minute? Elsa tried not to think of that.
"Oh, this?" Elsa looked down at her outfit, "This stuff is Emmas. She's lettting me borrow it so I can... blend in a little," She looked up from her clothes with a slightly embarrassed smile, standing there with the plate of cookies probably looking like a total fool.
Elsa didn't really have a problem with Regina, per say, but being Emmas closest friend... it didn't make a good relationship with Regina easy. Elsa often encouraged Emma to give Regina another chance, but it usually backfired in her face. Now, she just wanted to be on good terms with everyone possible. She didn' t need any more enemies and she was sure Regina didn't either.

Regina could appreciate Elsa's attempt at befriending her, but it was also difficult to accept it. She was still upset with Emma, and Elsa seemed to be close friends with her. Then again, she knew that she shouldn't dislike someone just because of who their friends were. Perhaps that was why she had let the ice queen in.
At the explanation of the clothes Elsa was wearing, Regina simply nodded, closing the door once the other woman was inside. "So...would you like anything to drink? I have some tea, or hot cocoa. I'm sure you want to get comfortable, so go ahead."

Elsa stood in the front hallway for a moment, even after Regina said she could get comfortable. "Oh! Well... milk goes good with cookies, what about that?" she smiled awkwardly at Regina for a moment before finally moving in order to sit down on the couch in the room beside her.
She sat at the very edge of the couch, and placed the plate of cookies on the coffee table in front of her. "This is... a really nice house," Elsa commented. She had seen a lot of peoples living spaces here in Storybrooke, and this was by far the nicest one Elsa had been in yet.
Well, it made sense, considering Regina was the Mayor and all... and cursed everyone so that she could have a happy ending and a nice set up. But that wasn't important.

Regina nodded and went into the kitchen to retrieve two glasses of milk. She cleaned up any mess that was made and returned the milk into the fridge, grabbing the glasses and using her hip to close the door.
Regina returned to Elsa, handing her one of the glasses. She gave her a small smile for the compliment on the house. "It was the perfect size for me and Henry. But now that it's just me, it's a little too big for my taste."
Regina grabbed a coaster and set it on the table, placing the glass on it. She reached over and grabbed a cookie, taking a bite. "So...what brings you here, Elsa? Surely you can't be here just to give me cookies."

Elsa waited while Regina left the room, grateful for a moment to relax. Really, what did she have to worry about? Regina had never done anything to hurt her, and Elsa hadn't done anything either. Well, besides freezing the town that one time...
Elsa smiled, taking a glass from Regina and open the container of cookies. "Have you thought about moving?" Elsa asked. She didn't want to seem forward, but if that was the best thing for Regina then she should do it.
Elsa kept the cold glass in her hand as Regina took a cookie. "Well, I just... I wanted to say hi." That really was why she had come over, and she didn't want to say that she felt like Regina didn't have any friends. Elsa knew what that was like, being alone. But, she wasn't sure they were ready for her to bring that up yet without sounding offensive.

Regina wanted to know why Elsa was coming by her house, but she didn't ask. The woman asked if she thought about moving, and she shook her head. She had too much stuff to go into a smaller house. "No, I couldn't do that. Henry is too used to this house when he comes to visit. It is just something that I will have to get used to."
Then Elsa mentioned why she stopped by and Regina took a bite, amused by the idea. "Hi," she said as she finished off the cookie and took a sip of the milk before setting it back on the table. "How are you liking Storybrooke?"

Elsa nodded, "That makes sense. It's probably a place of comfort to him, like a hideaway of sorts that he knows well and gives him peace," she didn't mean to get so deep, but she knew how important a place like that was to a kid. Heck, she knew how important it was to an adult.
"Hello," Elsa chuckled a little at their awkward hello. It was clear Regina found her lame excuse amusing. But Elsa was going to stick with it for now.
When Regina asked her next question, Elsa shrugged. "It's... an interesting place. I feel as though the people here aren't sure what to do with themselves if there isn't trouble brewing somewhere."

Regina smiled a bit at that comment that Elsa made, nodding in agreement. She said nothing more on the matter, because the other woman had hit it right on the top of the head.
Shifting so that her other leg was now crossed over the one that originally was crossed over, Regina noted how awkward this whole situation felt, and that was because her and Elsa didn't really hang out all that much, in fact, the proof showed that since Elsa had never been inside her home.
Regina chuckled at Elsa's comment. "It is a nice break though, not having anything or anyone out there trying to kill us. It's not something we normally get. Are you getting around to places alright?"

"Well, I'm glad you enjoy the break," Elsa smiled. It really did seem as though others in the town almost wanted something bad to happen so that they could have something to do. They were so lost in themselves and in their own stories, but now there were so many others around them that they weren't sure where to start. It was always easier to start an adventure with an antagonist.
"Yes. I rode in a car with Emma the other day. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of it, really, it's just strange that there are no horses and the sounds it makes..." she shook off that memory, "Do you have one of those?" she asked.

Regina definitely knew that the town was growing restless at the lack of excitement going around the town, but maybe that's how much Regina herself had changed; she liked the peace and quiet now. She wasn't the one causing the chaos.
"What about you? Are you just as restless as the town seems to be?"
At the story about the car, Regina chuckled. Yes, even Regina had to get used to the sound of a car, because she herself was used to horse and carriage. Or just plain using magic. "No, I don't have a car. My choice of travel is either magic or horse-and-carriage. How do you travel in Arrendale?"

Elsa shook her head, "Well, yes. I'm restless but not for trouble. I think I'm restless for more peace... I mean, I know things are pretty peaceful right now it can always get better, you know?" she shrugged, "Plus, my sister and I don't even know if we're going to be staying her forever... we may try to find a way back home,"[/b] she finished.
"How is the quiet treating you?" if Regina was anything like Elsa, she had had enough excitement for a lifetime!
"I see. We travel the same way during the summer, horse and carraige. The kingdom is quite small, however, so we often just walk. During the winters we use sleighs, those are very popular. And large ships to get to other kingdoms. You see, Arendelle is nestled with fjord," she finished-explaining why the boats were necessary.
