What was this place? It was nothing she'd ever seen before... Those walking outside were wearing such strange clothes, and there were terrifying things coming at her. Someone who she had stopped to ask looked at her strangely and told her it was a car. The person she spoke to was a rather short man with a temper that matched his stature. She remembered.. almost everything. She remembered feeling her heart being crushed.. there was no way to come back from that. She had to have been dead.. right? So where was this? Certainly not the Underword.. it was something completely different. It felt.. real. Her eyes were huge as she dodged 'cars' and stared at buildings that said things like Mister Gold's Pawn Shop, and Granny's Diner. Who were these people?
She didn't panic.. she kept her cool. She merely saw this as a new adventure! She only wished that she could be with Killian. He would have loved seeing a place like this.. it was so strange, as though they were in another world. It was beginning to grow dark - the sun was setting, and she knew that she had to find somewhere that she could be safe. Ah.. finally something that looked familiar. A sheriff's station. Well, she wasn't big on authority by any means, but maybe she'd be able to talk to him and figure out where she was, or how she got there. Just as she was about to cross the street, she noticed a familiar figure walking in her direction. He seemed to be on his way to the Sheriff's station, too. "...Killian?" she spoke, feeling the breath getting knocked out of her lungs.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Things were not normal . . . which wasn't a rare state for this small town of Storybrooke. It seemed the next chaotic threat was ready to ensue. Emma had informed Hook that the former Sheriff was alive . . . which was odd indeed, for he had been dead. And they both knew that there was far more to this than just one mere Sheriff. What, remained undiscovered. Hook was on his way to meet Emma at the Sheriff's station, his mind racing with all sorts of thougts as to what this could mean . . . when a voice caused him to freeze. It was a voice he would never forget, even centuries later. He closed his eyes for a brief moment and took a deep breath, before opening them and turnng to the source.
It . . . couldn't be. And yet at the same time, with what they had discovered thus far, it wasn't an impossibility. It was just . . . well, it was a situation that Killian had no idea how to react to. He hadnt thought she would be here. He had made peace with her death and now, all the emotions resurfaced. He looked at her, taking in her beautiful sight. "Milah," he breathed out, unsure what emotion was behind his voice for he was overwhelmed with so many. How could this be? How was she here? He wanted to ask her but he could see the look in her eyes; she was most likely just as confused as he was, if not more. For this was an entirely new place for her. "How can this be . . . " Wound up being the words that escaped his lips. So many nights he had seen her ghost. Yet now, he knew she was here before him. He could feel it in his heart and soul. She was here; she was real.

Milah was at a loss for breath.. which wasn't really shocking seeing that she had just been...well..not so much alive. Killian seemed surprised to see her, but not as in shock as she thought he would be.. Was he expecting this? He asked how it could be that she was here, and that seemed to answer her question. "I... I don't know," she spoke honestly, shaking her head. "The last thing I remember was my heart being crushed, and then I went somewhere else.." She paused, desperately trying to think. This opened a whole new can of worms that she didn't understand. Was there an afterlife? The Underworld.. was it horrible? She couldn't remember. Maybe that was a good thing, though. "And now i'm here."
She took a couple of steps toward him, and when she was close enough, she reached up to lightly touch the side of his face. Her memories of him came rushing forth like a tidal wave. She allowed her eyes to roam over him for a moment, and they stopped on his hand - or, rather, where his hand had once been. "Your hand," she lifted her gaze back to his once more. "What happened?" There were so many questions. Too many. "Killian.. how long has it been since...I've been gone?" Exactly how much had changed? She wasn't stupid..she knew it had to have been a long time with all of these advances that were brought on in this world..but it couldn't have been -too- long.. He wasn't old.
In fact, he still looked the same - aside from the hook - as he did the last moment she saw him. How could that be?

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION She said she didn't know and . . . well, he knew that it wasn't fair to ask her. No one could explain any of this and it made the entire situation all the more terrifying. She spoke of how the last thing she remembered was her heart getting crushed and he closed his eyes for a brief moment before opening them once more, the image entering his mind. Holding her in his arms as she died, hearing her tell him she loved him. He had not forgotten that image as it haunted him every single day and night. The only time he had been able to have any semblance of peace after centuries . . . was when he fell in love with Emma. And now, Milah -- his first love -- was here.
And he didn't know how to handle it. He remained silent, the emotions overpowering him to the point of not being able to verbally express himself. It became all the more difficult when she moved closer and placed her hand on his cheek. The warmth of her skin, the sensation of her touch . . . how he had dreamed it so many times before. He slightly tilted his head to the side, leaning into her touch, knowing it was wrong because . . . Emma was not far from his mind. She then asked him a question that making speaking less impossible, for she brought attention to his missing hand. Ah yes. She hadn't seen that part. The loss of his hand was nothing compared to what else he had lost that day. Her.
"He thought it held the bean." That was all he managed to say and hoped that she would understand, if she recalled the conversation they had with Rumple shortly before she . . . had passed. Her next question was more difficult to answer and Killian just looked at her with soft intent. He clenched his jaw, swallowing back the emotion he felt. "It's been . . . " He couldn't lie to her. "A while." But she also deserved a proper answer. "Centuries." That didn't help. "I . . . Milah, so much has happened." He brought his hand to her cheek and gently moved it off, but found himself holding it in hers, as if needing to keep that contact to assure himself that she was real. "I had lost you . . . I thought, I had lost you." And soon enough, the thought of who else they lost came flooding into his mind: their child.

He thought it held the bean. She knew exactly who he was. Killian knew that she would apparently, because he said nothing after that on the matter. Using her left hand, she lightly touched the smooth metal. "My poor Killian.." she closed her eyes and sighed softly. "The things you must have gone through...I am so sorry that I couldn't fight hard enough. I'm sorry that I died.." She wasn't taking responsibility completely, but she did feel that if she fought harder to keep her life, she would not have lost her's. He then told her how long it had been, and she felt her heart sink. Which..was ironic. She never thought she'd feel her heart even beating again. "Centuries...but how? You look just the same now as you did the last time I saw you.."
There was a lot to take in...but there were only two things on her mind. The first was the fact that she had to tell him her heart wasn't the only that was beating within her.. And she had to do something she'd been waiting to do - apparently for centuries. "It doesn't matter... what matters is that we're here. Now. Together.." Without another word, she rested both hands on his shoulders, and she kissed him. It was a kiss that could shatter the boundaries of time and space. She loved him.. and it showed in that one deep, passionate kiss.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION The moment she apologized for not fighting harder, he lightly shook his head. "No," he stated, not ever wanting to hear her apologize for that. "You have nothing to apologize for. I should have better protected you." Somehow. He almost wished he was a coward and not faced Rumple the next morning, thus placing Milah at risk. But . . . that was not the man he was. Nor was it the man she loved. Still, he wished he had done more to protect her. She then asked how it was possible for him to look the same, and he knew he would have to explain that to her, as well as his reasons for entering a realm such as Neverland. But before he could start to answer, she told him it didn't matter, and then leaned toward him and kissed him.
He found himself returning the kiss, the sensation of her lips one he had craved every second she was gone. Nght after night, he had longed for her touch. And now, here it was. Bittersweet. For as much as he would always love Milah, theer was another woman on his mind that could not be forgotten or ignored. He deepened the kiss, but knew he had to stop himself and so slowly pulled away from it, his forehead against hers, keeping his eyes closed as he tried to regain his composure and some semblance of rationality. "Milah . . . " He began to whisper, knowing he had to tell her. But how? "I mourned your death for over three hundred years," he began to say. "And the only thing that gave me my life back . . . was a saving grace found in another." Finding love in another, which he knew he would also have to admit. But one piece at a time. For, it was Emma. She had saved him when he was drowning in a pit of darkness. And he could not even remotely dismiss that. But nor, could he dismiss Milah.

Milah suddenly felt joy wash over her. She'd never felt a kiss as sweet.. aside from the time she had first kissed Killian and knew he was the one she'd spend the rest of her life with. Unfortunately, that life was cut short. Now, they had another chance.. it had to be some sort of miracle. When he returned - and even deepened the kiss, she accepted it warmly and pressed her own body gently against his. The kiss didn't last nearly as long as she had hoped.. Killian had eased out of it, and rested his forehead against her's. Ah.. this was it. This was when the bad news would come. It was woman's intuition she supposed.
He told her that he had mourned her for more than three centuries, but someone.. someone brought him comfort. That meant that there was a woman. Milah stiffened and her jaw suddenly clenched. She had to understand that it was a long, long time. How Killian remained preserved was another story for another time, she supposed. Now was the time that Milah had to attempt to come to terms with the fact that she and Killian's perfect relationship was in danger.. because she had lost her life. "A woman?" She said before he even had the chance to. "And you're with her now.." That part wasn't a question, but rather an assumption.
Well..this was as good of a time as any to tell him what she was going to wait to do. "It's only fair that you both know then.. that I'm not the only one who's life was returned." She took Killian by the hand, and rested it over her stomach. "Our child is alive, Killian..."

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION She understood that it was a woman, one he was still with now. He saw the reaction in her and well, he couldn't apologize for being with Emma. He held no remorse in that. What he never wanted to do, was to hurt Milah. "Aye," he confirmed in a quiet voice. She the went on to say that it was only fair he know . . . that she was not the only one who had returned. Part of him knew; knew exactly what she was talking about, yet he still felt the need to brace himself for it.
She took his hand and placed it on her stomach. Killian could feel it then, whether it was some deeply rooted paternal instinct over the mere existence of a growing child in a woman's womb . . . or just a gut feeling. She told him that their child was alive and it caused Killian to close his eyes, absorbing this information. Slowly opening his eyes, he faintly smiled. "This is wonderful news, Milah," he stated. Even if it was complicated, he could not deny the joy of knowing that their child was alive. That both him or her, and Milah had been given a second chance. And yet at the same time . . . there was a nagging fear in Hook's mind that what if, this was not permanent. What if this was all temporary and he would have to suffer the loss all over again. He wasn't sure he could bare that. But . . . he also didn't know how to handle this either. He just wasn't sure how to feel or what to do . . . was there even a right answer?

Milah closed her eyes when Killian had closed his. It was for a different reason, more than likely. In her mind.. this was perfection. She and Killian - together. The two of them, and the child they created. A family. She loved Baelfire, but she sadly had never gotten to be a true mother to him for most of his life. She'd never forgive herself for that.. And so, that's what she wanted for this child. Both of his parents, loving him or her. Loving one another. It's what she envisioned since the moment she found out that she was with child. However, it seemed as though Milah and Killian's happy ending was a little held up by a woman whom he was now in love with. Milah, of course, was hurt.
"I know that I've been gone a long time, Killian.." Milah started, hoping that perhaps she could make a plea before Killian made up his mind. "But I'm still me.. we can still be together. We have a second chance without the threat of Rumplestiltskin," at least, that's what she assumed. "Isn't this what we dreamed of? We can take the Jolly Roger, and set sail tonight. I..understand that you're in love with another.. but can you honestly tell me that you felt nothing in that kiss, Killian?" It wasn't fair... and deep down, she knew it. But she always had a hatred for cowardice, and she wasn't about to step down.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hearing her words were heartbreaking. She wanted to have a life together; one where they were free of a threat that had been looming for so long. A life where they could be a family, where they could be happy together. He had wanted nothing more than that since he fell in love with her, and every second of every day after her death, he thought of it. And the pain of knowing he would never had it, destroyed him. Now, there was an opportunity, but everything was so different. He, was different. "It's not that simple, Milah," he said softly, his voice filled with emotion. He had ties here now. He wasn't the same man who lived a life on the sea, free of any desire to settle on land. But Emma . . . she had changed his priorities and perspectives.
He couldn't just literally sail away from her. But having to say that to Milah, when her mindset was the exact same it was when they had been in love . . . was so beyond difficult that Killian hadn't the slightest clue how to say it, or even what to say. "I love you, Milah," he told her, also knowing he could not deny her words of him feeling nothing in the kiss. He did feel something. "Nothing will ever change that. Not time, nor circumstance." A part of him would forever love her, as she had been the first woman he'd ever loved. "But . . . things are different. I can't . . . " He just, couldn't. "I'm sorry, Milah. I just, can't." He couldn't sail away with her. He couldn't put this life behind him so easily. None of this was easy, not even saying those words to her.

Milah could tell how Killian was going to react by the look on his face and the tone of his voice. This was how she knew that she was about to feel her heart ache. He told her that he loved her.. but there was a but coming. She could sense it.. And sure enough, he dropped the bomb that he just couldn't do what she wanted him to do. Milah felt a wave of emotions. She wanted to turn away and run from him.. she wanted to be angry at him for not choosing to be with her.. she wanted to shout. But also.. she knew that this was Killian.. and he was good, and kind deep down. He had a code..and because of it, he couldn't just drop the life he had made here for himself, and it was unfair for her to ask him of that.
"Right.." She nodded, and looked down at her feet as she rested both hands on her stomach. "I know that..." she admitted. She figured that her dream of picking up where they left off just couldn't be.. But she couldn't give up this easily. Her eyes lifted again, and she caught Killian's gaze. "I can't say that i'm going to bow out and let this other woman have a happily ever after with you.. I love you too much to let you go. If this is permanent, though... I can promise that while i'm on this earth, I will fight for you, Killian Jones." Her lips curved in to a small smile. "You're the love of my life.. and I refuse to roll over and let someone else get the life with you that I was robbed of. For now, though... I will ease off. Because I know that it's unfair of me to come back and claim you." She took a step closer to him, so that her body was against his. "I guess i'll just have to make you fall in love with me again."

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION He hated being the reason for any sadness or pain she felt . . . but also knew that under these circumstances, it was inevitable. For he truly didn't want to hurt Emma either. She then said that she was going to fight for him; that she couldn't let he and this other woman have their happily ever after . . . that she loved him too much to let him go. It was ironic, for her strength, determination, and strong will were just some of the many qualities that made him fall in love with her.
And now, they were being said in a situation where he was in love with another. He gave a small smile, unable to bare the thought of either woman hurting each other . . . and also knew that Milah was extremely determined. Would his silence be interpreted as approval? Should he tell her not to do that? But how could he, without dismissing her which was not something he wished to do. He would have to choose his next words carefully.
On the one hand, her verbal reminder of their love made his heart swell, but with which emotions, he could not pin point. He just remained quiet, trying to formulate a suitable response. He quickly became distracted when he felt her body press against his, causing him to look into those beautiful eyes that he had fallen head over heels for.
She certainly was not going to make this easy . . . and yet, how could he expect her to with the strength of the love they had shared centuries ago? She told him that she was going to make him fall in love with her again, and the faintest of smiles remained on his lips. "I never stopped," he told her softly. Because whatever happened, he wanted her to know that his love for her had never diminished. Just because he loved Emma now, did not mean he didn't love Milah.
"Let's just focus on your and the baby's health for right now," he told her. That was something that was incredibly important and the rest, they would just have to figure out along the way. "We should go to the doctor tomorrow morning to have you checked out. This world has, many technological advances. It's quite incredible, really. And the medical field is no exception."
They mostly dealt with the physician on the crew when someone was ill, or when Milah had fallen pregnant. But here, doctors were a whole different level. "It is also best that you know, that the woman . . . " The other woman he loved. "Her name is Emma Swan. And she is the Sheriff of this town." He was telling her because he knew for a fact that the two would inevitably meet, and that they were all going to have to work together. He wanted to be honest, with both of them. Which also meant that he needed to speak to Emma about all this.

If there was one thing that Milah knew, it was that Killian Jones loved her. When he confirmed that he never stopped, she saw this as a window. It meant that one day, she could very well have the happy ending that she had been desiring. She smiled warmly at his comment, until he switched topics. What he said did make sense, though. She had a child to worry about. They had a child to worry about. And evidently, this new world was filled with advancements that would help ensure the baby's safety. "Yes.. first and foremost, the thing to worry about is our child's safety." She made sure to add in the word 'our' to exaggerate her point.
Emma Swan. So that was the name of the woman who she was competing with for Killian's affections. And, she was the sheriff. Her brow lifted and she just stared at Killian for a moment in disbelief. "..You? In love with the law?" She placed her hands on her hips and laughed. "I've now seen it all. A pirate and a sheriff. Starcrossed lovers. How romantic.." her voice dripped with sarcasm. "I think I need somewhere to lie down. I don't suppose you'll be joining me.. You don't want to get thrown in to a cell, after all." she was hurt, and trying to not say hurtful things.. But she couldn't help herself. Hormones, mixed with being ressurected 300 years after one's death tends to make a woman a little..moody.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION He gave a small nod when she said that they needed to worry about their child's safety. That was at least something they could quite easily agree on. Whatever happened . . . he did not intend to abandon their child. He knew not what it was to be a father, but that didn't mean he did not wish to find out. "Aye," he agreed softly. She then expressed her surprise at him being with the Sherrif . . . the surprise soon turning into sarcasm. He couldn't blame her he supposed, but hearing her speak this way . . . no. He just, couldn't blame her for saying it. He knew this wasn't easy for her, and he knew it wasn't going to be easy for Emma.
He just had to be extremely mindful of that. "Please, Milah," he softly urged, or begged. He wasn't sure which one. There's, a great deal more to it, to everything," he told her. "A lot has happened, and, there will be time to discuss all of it." Including the fate of her son. He feared the impression she would have of Emma when that truth was also divulged. Milah then commented on how she needed to lie down, sarcastically saying that he wouldn't join her, not wanting to get tossed in a cell. "I'll take you to an inn. I am not sure the Jolly Roger is safe right now." For he didn't know who eles would be popping up from their graves. "Come," he said gently, his hand resting on her back for a moment as he began to walk toward Granny's. "We can get something to eat as well." Though he didn't have an appetite. Not at all. In fact, he felt rather sick in the pit of his stomach.

Milah understood what Killian was going through. ..well, not really but she was attempting to try. It was just very, very difficult. All she wanted to do right now was to continue kissing him. To tell him she loved him in a sweet, happy way, and to hear him say it back. She wanted things to be like they were three centuries ago, but that wasn't going to happen. Instead, he was going to go back to his new love, and she was going to be staying in an Inn.. alone. Not knowing anyone, or anything in this world. "Fine," she said in a rather defeated tone. However, she was not defeated. She would continue to fight.. just maybe not right now. She was getting a little too upset, and she didn't want to harm the baby - or to harm Killian's view on her.
She followed him to Granny's Bed and Breakfast. Everything seemed so strange. Even when he got her in to her room, she couldn't recognize anything. It was all new to her. Technology, electricity.. so very odd. She sat down on her bed, and looked around curiously. "I don't know if i'll ever get used to this place, Killian," she placed a hand over her stomach, silently vowing to protect her unborn child from the evils that could possibly come from all of these technological advances.
"I can't pretend that i'm okay with the fact that you'll be leaving here and going to another.. But.. I understand that you need time.. and that things have changed." She didn't, really..but again, she was trying.
