During the Ogre wars, Colette was killed in an attempt to save her daughter, something that would haunt Belle and in turn caused her to escape home to search for answers. When she returned, The Ogre wars were just starting to get worse, but there was talk about a sorcerer who possessed great powers and could protect her family from the ongoing war..But for a price. Leaving home once more, in exchange for her family's protection, she went to live in Rumplestiltskin's Castle, where she worked as his servant. Despite his cantankerous personality, overtime she grew fond of the imp, knowing that deep down behind that mask he so desperately wore, there was a good man. A man she would fall in love with. Due to the Evil Queen's manipulation, Belle and Rumplestiltskin were torn apart and separated. The Evil Queen had Belle locked away and out of sight from the world, until one day... After the curse was finally broken in Storybooke by The Savior, Belle and Rumplestilstkin were reunited.
