The hand that Rose’s chin was resting on had grown numb. Yet, she’d inhaled enough alcoholic drinks that she didn’t seem to notice her own body was falling asleep. No, she’d been too busy looking across at the sheriff. He had been sitting by himself for a while now, and no one new had come to approach him. Was this what her life was going to be? Pining after the guy that would never be hers? He felt so out of reach, like he was a word that was on the tip of your tongue. It felt so familiar yet you couldn’t grasp it. Rose sighed, picking up her glass of Jack Daniel’s on the rocks before making her way over to Graham. Graham was in Rose’s opinion, the most handsome man in all of Storybrooke. Actually, he was the most handsome man she could ever remember seeing in her entire life. She watched him carefully as she made her way over, setting her glass down on the table in front of him. “ Hello, Sheriff,” she said quietly, moving to sit beside him. Rose sat up, maneuvering her shoulders out of her leather jacket before letting it slip off of her and resting it on the opposite seat. She crossed her right leg over her left, smiling slowly as she looked in his direction. “ I have not seen you at the shelter in ages it feels like…” Rose traced her finger tips over the top of her glass before turning her body toward Graham, leaning in as she whispered toward him, “Do you think you could give me a ride?” Outfit

WORD COUNT: 493 NOTES: TAKES PLACE PRE SEASON 1!
| Graham was currently sitting at a table by himself, for his initial plans had been changed. He was supposed to meet Regina but she had to cancel due to unexpected business that required her attention. Graham felt . . . relieved. Being with her was a strange thing indeed. It didn't feel, right. Hell, it didn't feel like anything. It was all physical and even then, he felt unfulfilled each time. He couldn't explain it, nor would he ever dare try to say anything against her. All he could do was go with it, for he felt like he had no other choice. He hadn't quite realized how long he was sitting there for, and a person's voice pulled him from his thoughts. He looked up at the woman who promptly came to sit next to him. Which in turn, caused him to shift more to the other side to give her more space, and place some between them.
She was undoubtedly, an exquisite beauty; fair skin, long golden hair, beautiful, captivating eyes. But, there was something about her that surpassed what he saw on the outside. It wasn't just an intense physical attraction that drew him to her . . . it was a strange familiarity, one that went beyond them crossing paths at the animal shelter they both spent time at. "Ms. Hunter," he greeted in response with a bit of a nod. He knew he couldn't entertain any thoughts, nor try to discover the reason for her familiarity. It was dangerous. Not necessarily for him, but for Rose. Graham was well aware that Regina didn't like the thought of him being with another woman. As far as she was concerned, he belonged to her. So he had to remain professional. He was Sheriff after all. She was making it rather difficult though, with her close proximity and the way she leaned toward him. Graham was Sheriff indeed, but he was also a man.
"Things have been fairly busy at the station," he said in response to her statement. His words were a bit of a lie. When he wasn't working, he was usually with Regina. But he wasn't about to advertise that now was he. "How have things been going at the shelter?" He asked, trying to keep things focused on business rather than well, anything else. He swallowed when she leaned toward him, asking for a ride. "Well it would be rather irresponsible of me as Sheriff to deny you such a request." At least she was thinking ahead, because she had clearly consumed alcohol that would impair her driving, if she did in fact bring a car. "Are you ready to go?" He had an idea of the answer to that question already, considering she had taken off her jacket and gotten comfortable. He just, didn't want the Mayor to find out about this. She would take it out on Rose and Graham just couldn't let that happen.

“ MMmmm.” Rose hummed quietly as he stated that things had been busy at the station. Lie . It hadn’t been busy. Everyone knew everything that went on in Storybrooke. Which is why she had to admit it was slightly foolish to be trying to so eagerly garnish the mayor’s boyfriends attention in such close proximity. But as she suggested that he would give her a ride, the smile spread slowly across her lips. But it didn’t seem that he was keen on sticking around to have another drink. Probably just intended to drop her off straight at home and then go back to his merry business. “ Am I ready to go?” she questioned with a lift of her eyebrows. “Oh!” she said, closing her eyes as she tried to shake the thoughts from her mind. “Yes. Sorry… Yes..” she said, nodding before she finished the remaining beverage in her glass.
Rose pushed her hair from her face, holding onto the table with one hand as she steadied herself when she stood up. “ Sheriff, aren’t you supposed to feed a girl before you take her home?” she said, trying to keep from smiling as she looked in his direction. She lift up her hand, placing her finger underneath his ties before playing with the end of it. “ I really want a cheeseburger.. A bacon cheeseburger. With the greasiest fries we can find… I think that’s in your protocol. You can’t leave a damsel in distress, now can you?” she said, giving a small pout of her bottom lip before letting go of his tie.
