Amelia normally wasn't so nosy.. but she was curious as to why the Mayor was walking in and out of a mausoleum so frequently. The only reason she knew was because she had to pass it frequently. She ran a business, and she delivered most of the articles of clothing she made and tailored. She even sewed the Mayor's own clothing. So, when she saw such a strange sight, she couldn't help but duck behind the trees to hide away. Spying wasn't such a terrible thing, was it? She wasn't harming anyone...
But it would soon be discovered that perhaps the curious mouse should have just kept walking, because one night in particular, Amelia decided to sneak in to the crypt to see what was in there. It wasn't a grave.. it couldn't have been. No one died in Storybrooke.. everyone just kind of existed. Which..was strange in itself, but she never questioned it.
Amelia waited until Regina left, and she quickly hurried inside to explore. What she found was... well, it was strange. There was something that looked like a vault that was open, and inside it looked as though Regina was..a..a witch?? No! Not the mayor! It couldn't be! She had to dig deeper. There had to be more to the story. It wasn't until she found the boxes that things got really terrifying. The boxes were quite fancy looking, and they had names on them. One of the names belonged to the sheriff, Graham. Amelia had taken a shining to Graham, so that was the box she pulled out first.
What she saw, was a human heart. She wanted to scream, but instead she cupped her hand over her mouth. If the mayor found out, she would be dead for sure! How could this be? What sort of game was she playing? She knew she had to go to the sheriff. She placed the box where she had found it, and she rushed out of the mausoleum, and off to the sheriff's station as fast as her feet could carry her. Once she was there, she rushed in, relieved to see that the sheriff was there.
"Sheriff," she spoke breathlessly, after having ran the whole way through town. "You have to come with me.. there's something you need to see!"
