Stranger Danger Life in Neverland couldn't be better. As long as you did what Peter wanted you to, he would stay out of your way for the most part and James was just fine with it. As for today, Peter wanted James to go hunting – there's a feast tonight, and although Peter hasn't told his pack exactly what they're celebrating tonight, James is more than happy to oblige to the one that saved him.
Perhaps some new kids are joining them tonight and Peter wants to introduce them to the gang with a bang. James tends to stay away from Peter's affairs, he's far from one of Peter's closest friends – he has his own group of friends, a bond that is unbreakable. After all, it's been years since James came to Neverland... or so it seems.
Suddenly, James' hears perk up with the sound of twigs being snapped underneath something's feet. No, not something... someone's. The noise was far too loud to be an animal. Reacting quickly, James reaches behind his back and pulls out the machete he carries with him at all times. Hiding behind a tree, James waits until the perfect moment and quickly jumps on the man that came across his path, holding him up against the tree and bringing the machete dangerously close to the man's jugular.
“Who are you and what are you doing here!?”

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Neverland. Killian had never thought he would be back here after a mission that brought them to this place had claimed his brother's life. But alas, his motivations for returning this time were far different than the last. He needed to come here to ensure he didn't age until he found a way to destroy the dark one. He didn't care if it took years or centuries. He had trapped himself on this cursed island for a reason, and knew it was only a matter of time before he ran into Pan. As he trudged through the heavily wooded terrain, he could have sworn he was being followed. He wasn't alone, he was certain of that. And it wasn't any of his men either, he knew that.
For they would not skulk around and hunt him in this way. While he knew there was another around, he hadn't been prepared for the sudden attack in which a boy had him against a tree and holding a machete against his throat, demanding to know who he was and what he was doing here. Hook slightly moved his head up to try and create some distance between the blade and his throat. "Bloody hell, mate, is this how you welcome people on this island?" He asked sarcastically.
"Best get that blade away from my throat before I really get offended," he added on, though he knew right now, this boy had the upper hand for who knew how many more of them lurked about. Hook was far from afraid, but this was not what he needed right now . . . especially when he was just trying to familiarize himself with the rather dangerous traps that seemed to lay all throughout this land. "Then maybe perhaps we can get to exchanging introductions and pleasantries," he added on with a continued ton of sarcasm, pertaining to the boy's demanding question of who he was and what he was doing here.

Stranger Danger No adults. That was the promise of Neverland – there would be no one to tell James what to do, for as long as he'd wish. And as far as the boy can remember, it has always been like that. But now, here he is... a fully grown man trying to tell James what to do.
However, the boy is not afraid, he's not loosening the grip on his machete even if he takes the blade slightly away from this man's throat, but still close enough that if the man makes the wrong move, he'll end up without his head. Even if the man doesn't stand alone and has his companions with him – no one comes to Neverland alone... and if they do, they don't leave. Still, James keeps the upper hand that he already has over this man and glares up at him.
“You're not the one that is in charge here. I have asked you a question – who are you?” James shifts the blade a little, tilting his head to the side to show the man he means business and if he doesn't have his question answered soon, there will be consequences. “I can have this place swarmed with people far more dangerous than I, so you might want to do as I say.”
James looks at the man up and down and for the first time he notices that the man's left hand is missing... and instead a hook pokes out of the man's sleeve jacket. Taking a step back from him, but still keeping him at machete's length, James points to the hook, not caring if he sounds offensive or not. “Remove it and hand it over. Put any and all of your weapons to the ground, I'm not letting carry them around.”

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION The boy placed slight distance between them which caused Hook to ease a little. The boy then spoke of how he was not the one in charge here. "Neither are you, mate," he told him. For he knew that nothing here happened without Pan's consent or know how. "So why don't you just take me to him so I can speak to him directly rather than his flunky." Meaning, the boy. Killian had no issue referring to him as such, even with the machete pointed dangerously close to him. "Your leader won't be too pleased if you kill me. Trust me, I know how this works." And he wasn't going to play games about it, nor submit to the boy's demands without speaking to the proper authority.
Though Hook didn't doubt that the attacker could have this place swarming with boys said to dwell in this land, but he was not one to admit defeat so easily. Especialy when he demanded that he take off his hook. Killian straightened himself, much more relaxed regardless of the circumstances. "Come on, mate, you wouldn't mess with a man's hook now would you. It's bad form," he stated, even taking a small step toward the boy. "You're the one with that blade pointed at me. I'm no threat. Ask Peter Pan." With finally saying his name, Hook hoped that he could intrigue the boy enough to at least see that he was familiar with the realm and the way things worked around here. It had not been too long ago that he had come, and he had no doubt that Pan would remember him quite well. It wasn't every day that a ship of the royal navy ventured to this island.

Stranger Danger The man was right, James was not the one in charge of the island, but that doesn't change the fact that he's the one in charge now. But he has to admit, hearing the man mention Peter's name has peaked his curiosity and he narrows his eyes at the pirate.
“How do you know Peter? Has he allowed you to stay on the island and sneak up on us?” James grips the handle of the machete tightly, almost turning his knuckles white, clearly getting frustration from the lack of answers from this man. “And you still haven't answered me or done what I've ordered you. Peter might be the one in charge of the island, but I'm the one that decides what happens now.”
James tilts the blade of his machete down and touches the tip of the offending hook in the man's arm before taking several steps back from the man. “Like I said, remove it and I might put my blade away. And after you've answered my questions, I'll take you to Pan.” James lowers his arm, the machete now nowhere near the man, but he still doesn't let his guard down. One sudden movement and the man's life might be on the line.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION It was clear that the boy displayed intrigue in Hook's words which certainly helped matters. "You and I both know that nothing happens on this island without Pan's knowledge. So if I'm here, he damn well knows about it." Pan allowed those he wanted to stay, and eliminated those he did not want to remain. It was part of the man child's magic and hold over this place and all those within it. The boy didn't seem to be backing down in asserting his authority though he did notice that he was starting to ease his position of the weapon against the pirate.
"I don't answer to you, mate," Hook stated dismissively. "So if you're going to kill me, just get on with it. Though I doubt Pan will be pleased when he finds out that you murdered an old friend." A slight exaggeration but Hook was willing to do what he could to ensure his survival on the island. At least until he got what he came for: information on how to destroy the Dark One. Despite his defiant words, Killian knew he would have to offer this particular lost by something if they were to get anywhere. "Let's strike some sort of accord then. How about, I keep my hook, and I'll tell you why I'm here." He looked at the boy, raising an eyebrow out of curiosity to see if he would accept that. "If not then I doubt we'll get anywhere. The two of us seem rather stubborn in that regard," he added with teasing but not without truth. "Savvy?" He finished, gaining confirmation of this agreement.

Stranger Danger Just like this pirate, James is not one to admit defeat, or even allow the other man to get the upper hand on him, but he has to admit that the man is making sense. Unless the two of them reach an agreement, there’s no way James is going to get information out of him. But in his head, he still thinks that he’s the one that has the advantage over the man, after all, this is Neverland we’re talking about.
“Fine.” Just as the word leaves his mouth, James can start feeling uneasy, not liking the feeling one bit. It also doesn’t help that he doesn’t trust adults, not after what happened to him before he came to Neverland, but that’s a story for another time. In the meanwhile, James has a pirate to take care of.
“But I will get to the bottom of this. If I find out that you’re lying and Peter hasn’t allowed you to stay on the island, I will take care of you myself.” With a hint of regret, James sheathes his machete back, thinking that this might be the only way to get the man to speak. “There, but do not think that I trust you. Now, your end of the bargain.”
