like a queen Think of me more than anyone else miu - others
Regina Mills sat comfortably in her throne, absolutely bored out of her mind. She twiddled her thumb, and she even tapped her foot. She needed a clever plan to get Snow White out of her life. It was her own fault that she had turned out this way, after all. She just needed to be rid of. Scoffing, Regina got up and stomped to the kitchen, ordering someone to get her a tea. Her servant seemed a bit rushed, but now she didn't care. Regina really needed to figure this out, and it was keeping her awake at night. Snow White needed to be gone. She rubbed her temples, and the servant showed up with the tea. She took it and shooed him off, taking a sip and feeling the hot beverage slide down her throat. "What to do, what to do?" She sighed, sitting back down on her throne. She was getting irritated by the situation.

the asking WAS ME BEING A GENTLEMAN Bloody hell! This castle was difficult to break into. It was well fortified with numerous guards who were strategically placed. But alas, he was a man on a mission. And if there were two things he was willing to die for, it was love and vengeance. These two were conveniently tied together for it was the loss of the woman he loved that caused him to obsessively seek out his vengeance. He had returned recently from Neverland in the hopes of finding a solution to kill The Dark One. And he had . . . somewhat. He had managed to track down a woman who may be able to help him, but she had proved to be quite useless. So he did what anyone would do: knocked her out. And now, he would unfortunately have to kill her for it was too risky for the Crocodile to know that Hook was onto him. He needed to remain in the shadows as long as possible.
He raised his hook, prepared to swing at the young girl. What a pretty little thing, and this was such a terrible waste . . . but he had no choice. Besides, considering the markings that represented how long she was being held captive here, he was doing her a favor by killing. With his hook raised, he then lowered it, swinging it toward her when it suddenly vanished. He spun around and there he saw a vision. Great. Just . . . great. As if this mission couldn't have proved to be more useless, now he had gotten caught. But he was hardly going to show fear or concern. Instead, he just stared at her, her words registering in his mind. But he didn't care. All he cared about was getting his hook back for no one, no one meddled with a man's hook. template by isabella

Regina had finally started to calm down from her thoughts when a silent alarm sounded. Sighing, she got up to see what it was all about. Really, what was the point of guards if they never guarded the doors? This was ridiculous. She stormed down to where she had kept Belle locked up, and saw a pirate. Interesting. She quickly thought of a plan, and when it came to her, Regina felt a smirk grow on her lips. She calmly used her magic to get the man's hook, and she looked at it with slight fascination. When he simply stared at her, she raised an eyebrow. "What, you break into my kingdom and can't find the words to say, pirate?" The Queen twirled the hook in her hand, smirking still. "Oh, did you want this back? First you'll have to tell me what you want with this girl." She looked at Belle and then back at the pirate, arching a brow.

the asking WAS ME BEING A GENTLEMAN Her kingdom? Oh, bloody hell she was the queen. This was just . . . great. This was not what he had wanted to happen. He wanted to come in quickly, and then leave just as rapidly. But somehow, he had been caught. And not only that, he had heard of the great powers that the Evil Queen possessed. Her taking his hook was surely just a small glimpse of all she could do. And he didn't exactly care to find out the full potential of her powers. After all, she had nothing that he needed. Well . . . except for his hook. But he planned to soon remedy that. He refused to be intimidated by her magic or presence -- even though he knew first hand how dangerous magic could be, particularly dark magic. But he was no coward.
"What can I say, when you have caught me off guard," he both questioned and stated -- though the questioning part was more rhetorical. While saying his words, his eyes slowly looked over her; she certainly was a ravishing sight to behold. But he quickly returned to the matter at hand -- no pun intended. "It is no concern of yours what my business with the girl is. She has proved to be utterly useless." She didn't have what he needed, but it didn't seem that the queen wanted her killed either. Fascinating. But not nearly enough for Hook to stay and inquire about it. "Now, if would you be so kind to return me my hook," he said as he extended his hand expectantly, even taking a step toward her. "It is after all, bad form to meddle with a man's hook," he added, a slight hint of a smile though it was slightly sarcastic rather than jovial. template by isabella

Regina knew that the pirate didn't intend to get caught, but alas he did. Foolish pirate, did he not think she would have a security system of sorts for if her guards failed? She lowered her hand, the one with the hook, considering her options. She could dispose of the hook and teach him a lesson, lock him up, among other things. She was Queen, so whatever she wanted to do, she would. Nobody ever told her what to do anymore, nor who to marry. Getting back to the task at hand, Regina raised an eyebrow at the man when he spoke. "Of course I caught you off guard, pirate. Did you really think I wouldn't have some sort of security spell that would alert me of intruders?" She chuckled and shook her head before walking down the stairs, her tail on the dress following like a love-struck puppy. Regina stopped in her tracks when Killian answered her question. She smirked, lifting the hook in her hand. "Is that any way to address a Queen?" Again, she chuckled before walking up to the pirate. She was unmoved by the fact that his clothing seemed to make him look like he wanted to be intimidating, but he really wasn't. No one was to Regina, the Evil Queen anymore. Regina swung the hook towards the man until it pushed against his jawline. "I find it ironic that I could dispose of you with your own hook. And this is my kingdom that you invaded. So I say, I can meddle with anyone's hook that I please. Now, give me a reason why I shouldn't lock you up for prosecution sentencing?" Really, Regina was amused by the situation enough that she would possibly let him go, with or without the hook. That was undecided.

the asking WAS ME BEING A GENTLEMAN She asked him if he thought that he could break in, undetected. He had been rather hoping he could, considering he eliminated the threat of her guards. He had been doing rather well! But alas, magic. One could never underestimate it's true extent. So it should hardly come as a surprise that he was caught. Now, he just had to get out of this predicament -- preferably, with his hook. "I was actually rather hoping that you didn't," he said in a cheeky tone with a smile to match. He wasn't about to bow down or show fear or be intimidated. He refused to be a coward. She then re-approached him, moving the hook so that it was pressed against his jaw. He tilted his head upward a bit, eying the point of what had taken the place of his hand. Rather unsettling when it was not his stump that wielded it.
Her own threats did not fall upon deaf ears, for he was quite aware that she could kill him with the wave of his hand. There certainly was a strong irony if he died by his own hook. A hook that he had tried to kill the Dark One with, and then one that became his hand and now one that could possibly be his demise. But Killian was not going to admit defeat. Besides, she seemed to be giving him the opportunity to offer something. And he was going to take full advantage. His eyes moved from the hook to her face, starting to relax his body rather than show any sign of fear. "Come now, your Majesty," he began to say, boldly taking a small step up to her. Here was that respect that she had been demanding. "Surely there is something I can do for you. A way to . . . satisfy a need," he stated as his tongue slightly ran over his upper lip. His words were rather suggestive and he gave an expression to match his tone as his eyes fixated on her and he flashed a bit of a devious smile.
"Besides," he continued, his gaze starting to search over the queen's body which was looking rather alluring in her form fitting dress. Slowly, his gaze met her eyes once more. "I meant you no harm. So why not let bygones be bygones and return me my hook. Then perhaps we can further discuss how I can be of assistance to you." It was a chance he was taking, but either way, his words and demeanor was confident. He could be resourceful, and surely, there was something he could do for her -- suggestive or not -- that would get him out of here alive.

like a queen Think of me more than anyone else miu - others
Regina knew that she had a lot to think about when it came to this pirate that broke into her kingdom. She could do many things to teach him a lesson, but she was truly curious why he dared to try. She smirked. "I am no fool. I know there are some peasants that are dumb enough to try and break in for multiple reasons. I'm always prepared."
At the innuendo that the pirate made, the queen quirked an eyebrow with question. "Are you trying to seduce me, pirate? Is that how you think you'll get out of this?" It wasn't a rhetorical question, by no means. Did pirates simply sleep their way out of tough situations? She wasn't sure and she wanted to know. At least, if she decided to agree on the terms, he wasn't that bad looking, but she didn't just sleep around. There was the huntsman, but that had more to do with her loneliness than anything else.
The man seemed confident that she would strike a deal with him, but Regina could just as easily kill him and be done with it if she so chose. She chuckled, low. "You're a pirate. The chances are if I give you this hook before we talk, you'll simply try to leave. This way, I can be sure you won't be running off. Hooks don't come cheap, after all. Besides," she stepped back, hook in hand. "What do you have that I could possibly want?"

the asking WAS ME BEING A GENTLEMAN She spoke of how she knew peasants were dumb enough to attempt to break in for whatever reasons. It made sense she was prepared; she most likely had quite a few enemies. "Well, it is fortunate then that I am neither a peasant nor dumb," he said with a bit of a cheeky smile. He was not about to get on his knees and beg for his life. All he had left to live for was his vengeance and even though this was a wasted trip, at least he knew; at least he tried. She then asked him if he was trying to seduce her. "That depends," he began to say. "On whether it's working or not," he added with a slightly devious as well as a bit of a suggestive smile. She then continued to explain why she could not yet return the hook to him. It was something he needed and she damn well knew it. Which left him with little other choice than to remain here and do what he could to retrieve his property.
"I doubt I could leave without your consent at this point," he told her, an attempt to flatter her of course. He had been so close to escaping just as inconspicuously as he had entered. But alas, here she was before him; clutching his hook. Something that he was quite desperately missing right now. She asked what he could possibly have that he wanted. He could give her another suggestive remark, or perhaps he could try to use something other than his attempted charm to allow her to see that it would be a waste to kill him. Even though he did not fear death, that by no means meant he wanted to die. "Surely you were impressed by the fact that I was able to get past all your guards." All of which were dead.
"I can be quite, resourceful," he added, his tone holding a hint of flirtation especially when he spoke the last word. But it also had truth to it; he had been around for quite some time now and so perhaps, they could strike some sort of bargain. "Why don't you start by telling me what you need, and we'll go from there." Once again, a hint of flirtation in his voice as he gave a slight smirk, awaiting her response, and hoping he could get out of this situation alive. "Everyone needs something," he added, in the hopes of further convincing her that he could be useful to her.

Regina raised a thin eyebrow when he asked if his flirtations were working. This man wasn't serious, was he? She scoffed. "You're not the first who tried to sleep their way out of trouble here. It didn't work for them and it is definitely not going to work for you." Peasants had often offered themselves to her, but she would always refuse. She still had the Huntsman to keep her bed warm, and she wasn't the type to have more than one lover at a time.
No, this pirate didn't seem to be dumb at all. Childish, maybe. But he was no fool. "That's true, but I'm still not taking chances with a pirate." Pirates were deceitful, that Regina had found so far. She'd never come across one that kept true to their word unless they were forced to.
"What I want? I highly doubt you could help me get what I want. I want vengeance on someone. Snow White. She ruined my life, and I want to ruin hers. But again, a pirate is the very least likely to help me with this matter." She walked around him and then turned him around, using the hook on his shoulder. "And no, I'm not impressed that you got past my guards. I'm pissed. You killed them and now I'm going to have to find others. Do you realize how difficult that can be? No, you don't. You have your group of feminist men."
With that statement, Regina walked partly up the stairs before turning back to him, in thought. "Let's say I did give you a chance to help me, what would you possibly do?"

the asking WAS ME BEING A GENTLEMAN She told him that he was not the first for trying to sleep his way out of here and he just gave her a bit of a cheeky smile. "Well, can't blame a man for trying," he said casually, knowing he would now need to resort to his next plan of maneuvering himself out of this situation. And that consisted of a less, vigorous way. She told him she was not going to take her chances with a pirate, and then furthermore, stated that she doubted he could help her with what she wanted. Turning him around, she answered the question that he would have asked had she not revealed the answer. She wanted revenge on Snow White. He had of course heard that name before but of course had not made acquaintance with her.
"And how did she exactly ruin your life?" He question, a slight smirk on his face. "Looks to me like you are rather, well established." She had a kingdom, she was queen . . . what could this woman have possibly done to her? He also knew that with this revelation . . . they had a commonality. "Seems we have something in common, your Majesty. For I know a thing or two about wishing to claim revenge." Only he was up against more than just any person: the object of his rage just happened to be the Dark One.
She responded to his words of suggesting being impressed by telling him she was angry over the inconvenience of finding new guards. "Might I suggest finding better guards, then. These ones were rather easy to overcome. Perhaps I did you a favor by weeding out the weak." They had some skill, of course. But considering he was one man who had killed how many of hers . . . well, he offered this perspective with yet another slightly cheeky smile.
She turned to face him once more and then entertained the idea of giving him a chance, then asking what he could possibly do. It seemed like he was getting through to her and of course in the process, saving his own life. "Instead of asking me to list off my abundance of skills, which may take a while I might add--" He began to say, flashing an arrogant smile. "Why don't you tell me what you would like me to do. And I assure you, My Lady, I'll be able to do it." Yes. He was that confident in his capabilities. Now he just needed to convince her of that.

Regina wasn't completely sure what her plan was at this point, she was playing it all by ear. If he had information that was good enough to catch Snow White with, then she would let him go. But if it all turned out to be a fake, a lie, then she'd toss him in the dungeon to be executed the very next day. She knew she needed to make that abundantly clear to the pirate.
"Fine. We will talk and come up with a deal. But if I find out you are lying, I will personally see to it that you are tossed in the dungeon and executed the very next day." Regina then eyed him for a moment before she handed over the hook that she had possessed from him. She then started to retreat back to the dining room when the question he asked stopped her.
Turning around, Regina narrowed her eyes for a moment. "I don't see how this is relevant, but I'll bite. She told my mother about the person I was in love with, and my mother killed him." She kept it simple enough to explain, not wanting to go down memory lane by going into further detail.
Regina then proceeded to turn back around. "Follow me. If we're going to talk, I'm going to have my tea."

the asking WAS ME BEING A GENTLEMAN She finally managed to be curious enough to allow him to explain his reasons for being here, and even returning his hook to him, which he eagerly took and quickly fastened it back onto its rightful place. "I'm not foolish enough to try and deceive you," he told her, continuing on with the flattery as he was about to follow her -- before she paused and answered his question. She revealed that Snow White had caused the death of someone she loved and . . . well, Killian could understand that all too well. It was something they greatly had in common, and in that moment, he decided to use it, deciding that perhaps they could get along better than he had initially thought.
At least enough for her to either offer something helpful in his quest, or release him to carry on his mission. "The person I loved was also taken from me," he began to say as he followed her to wherever she led -- stating that she was to have her tea if this conversation were to continue. "So it appears we both have similar motivations for wishing to exact vengeance against those who wronged us." Both Snow and the Dark One were indeed powerful nemeses . . . only in completely different ways. He knew that surely there was more to the story, but he wasn't going to ask it. Just as he didn't fully explain his own, though he knew more details would be needed in regards to who exactly had killed Milah. But for now, he followed her lead; at least they were heading out of the dungeons and somewhere a bit more, comfortable.

Regina led the way to the dining hall, listening as the pirate spoke about he, too, lost his true love. Well, how about that? The pirate has more in common with me than I thought. That was definitely something that the Evil Queen was not expecting. She took a seat in her favorite chair before pouring herself a cup of tea.
"I don't suppose you want a drink, Captain," Regina offered dyly. Of course the pirate was going to want to drink; that was one of the quirks that were famous about them. She had never heard a pirate say no to some sort of drink--not that she had been around pirates all that often. No, she was often far too busy trying to exact her revenge than go out and get to know pirates. She'd only heard stories, and who knew maybe she'd get some experience now that she had a pirate accompanying her.
"Is that why you broke into my dungeon? To talk to a woman about revenge? Really, you were going the wrong direction." Though now that the queen was thinking about it, she wasn't sure who she wanted dead more, Snow or her mother, Cora. Yes, Snow was the one who spilled the beans about Daniel, but Cora was the one who killed him. A pang of her heart made her glance down at the glass in her hands. Then her eyes lifted to the pirate's. "You're right. We could help each other."

the asking WAS ME BEING A GENTLEMAN Hook's eyes glanced around the room as the queen seated herself comfortably. His eyes went to her again when she asked if he wanted something to drink. "I don't suppose you have something a tad stronger than tea?" He both questioned and stated. Rum wasn't exactly the preferred beverage for royalty. They preferred their extravagant wines and higher end drinks. "No need to inconvenience yourself though," he began to say as he reached into the compartment of his jacket that was reserved for a very special item.
He proceeded to pull out his flask, filled with rum as he never left his ship without it. "I come prepared," he stated with a bit of a cheeky smile. He pulled off the top with his mouth, letting it drop and dangle with the string attached to it. He took a large sip of it, the delicious beverage tasting as satisfying as ever. "Care to make your tea a bit more tasty?" He asked, holding up the flask and prepared to dose her drink with a bit of his own should she accept the offer.
