| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ | .:Birthplace:. A farm in the Enchanted Forest .:Family:. Ruth (mother), Unnamed (father), James (brother), King George (adoptive father), Snow White (wife), Emma (daughter), Neal (son), Henry (grandson) .:Occupation:. formerly working at the pet shelter, currently Sheriff .:History:. When David was born, he was born a twin, but he was already part of a deal: His parents gave his brother away, in order to protect their farm. After his fathers untimely death, he was the man on the farm. David tried to take care of everything at once, but avoided conflict so he would not inflict harm or any form of pain upon his beloved mother. That was until a certain young lady came into his life: Anna. She helped him man up and get rid of an oppressor, finding courage and skill on the way. With such he kept leading the farm until destiny struck. His brother had been killed, leaving his brothers adoptive father needing for an heir to help save the kingdom and somehow get to gold. David had to agree. To his own surprise he slay the dragon his brother should have slayn and was promised to marry the daughter of King Midas. Originally David thought he’d marry for love, but it seemed Destiny had other ideas about that and in order to protect his mother, he had to agree.
Until he met his True Love (that fact still unknown to him then). Snow White was a bandit then, but in truth the daughter of a king, banished from her own kingdom through her revenge seeking step mother Regina. His adoptive father proved to be the biggest obstacle for them: Wanting Charming to marry Princess Abigail instead of following his heart to marry the woman he had fallen in love with. In the end they overcame those obstacles, one of them even being the seven dwarves stepping up as big brother types. David arranged himself with them and helped to reclaim the kingdom, to bring a kind and benevolent leader to them through the princess. That in turn he himself would become a leader, was nothing he had expected, but he was okay with his new role. He was the Queens husband and through that the King, he knew he had to act the part. But for the time being that part included marrying the love of his life and finding out about the new life they created together. Charming – a name Snow had given him – was overjoyed to learn of the child they were expecting. Unlike his wife, he initially had no doubt about her. She would grow up to be a beautiful and good young woman, they would raise her the part. But he agreed to help his wife in her quest to ensure their daughters goodness, by given her dark potential to another child. Perhaps this was the worst decision of his life. And the beginning of the worst and best: The day his daughter was born, he held her in his arms and had to give her away, to protect her and the people. He almost lost his life then, gladly giving it for his beloved baby girl Emma. As he watched her disappear he thought he’d never see her again, how wrong he was. The dark curse cast by the Evil Queen swept over the lands and dragged them all to another realm, a realm in which he still had to fight for his life and where he was finally reunited with his love and his daughter. And their family got eventually expanded with a grandson and another child. And the rest, is history as they say.

David stared that the child in his little crib. He seemed to be so happy, so peaceful, entirely oblivious to whatever was happening around him. Right now a bomb could probably drop right next to them and his son would still smile happily at the plush sheep he had just recently been gifted. It was a blessing to be allowed to watch the baby grow up. He was growing so fast, David still felt like he was missing half of it. He probably was, given the fact that he had work and villains to defeat and now even more worries. Those worries extended to new parts of the family he would have just recently rejected to even be close. Now he was almost tempted to pick Neal and his sheep up and just dump them in the other mans arms so he would stop pacing. He had never tried it, but for some reason he thought giving Hook a baby to hold would effectively freeze him in place and slow his worrying steps down to rocking steps in order to keep him calm. When the hell did he start to trust him enough to seriously consider that idea? Oh right, after him promising to give up everything to protect his not so baby-like baby girl.
“Hook, sit down.”, he mumbled, not really expecting the man to listen to him anyway. Not without a serious threat. “Hook. Stop. Or I’ll call Emma!” Emma would know how to handle him. He was in essence hers after all. “Or I’ll make you change Neals diaper!” That would probably not work at all. While he was perfectly capable of using the hook as a replacement of the missing hand most of the time, he still didn’t think it would be a good idea to use it around a babies sensible behind. Neal was squirming so much, even Charming had trouble not to hurt him.
