you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE "Alantis," Killian stated, as he used the point of his dagger to touch the central location of their map. He was currently aboard the Jolly Roger, his crew surrounding him as he was giving instructions as to their next mission. "A city that is believed to exist only in myth. But we are going to disprove that." Killian was trusting his gut feeling that this city existed. No one had found for decades, perhaps centuries, but that was bout to change.
Why? "For it is also rumored that within this city, lies treasure beyond our ability to even imagine." That he knew would entice most of the crew. As a pirate, Killian of course enjoyed loot . . . however, it was more the adventure of it that tempted Killian. The thought of doing what so many others had failed in doing. That, was the real temptation. "What do you say, are you up for an adventure lads?" He asked somewhat rhetorically. He paused for only a brief second before they could respond, his eyes going to Milah. "And lass," he added on, since she was a female aboard the Jolly Roger.
Milah. It was pleasantly surprising how well she had conformed to their lifestyle. She too craved adventure, which had been the reason she wanted to join the crew to begin with. She had been with them for some time, and Killian found himself more and more drawn to her. It wasn't just her undeniable beauty either. Of course she was ravishing beyond belief, but over time . . . Killian had found it was much more than that.
The last few times they had made land, he found himself enjoying her company. And not in the ways that he did with practically every other woman he had come in contact with. He enjoyed spending the night just talking with her, whether it was over a few drinks in the tavern, walking through the town, or even staying aboard the Jolly Roger. He hadn't even felt like seeking out the company of another woman for something more . . physical, because he found far too much enjoyment with Milah.
He also knew that it was not common for him to be with way. Then again, he had never been this way with another. He had never just wanted to talk to a woman, get to know her, open himself up to her by sharing his own adventures and stories . . . but it was quite different with Milah. Even if he wasn't ready to admit that. He only knew that each day which passed, he felt more and more drawn to her . . . like a moth to a flame.
It was passing mere attraction, passing infatuation . . . and developing into something that went right to Killian's heart. But again, he was not quite ready to admit that. For he didn't even know what this was. For the time being, he would focus on their next venture, giving a small wink to Milah as the rest of his crew cheered and shouted Aye! in response to his question. Yes; the Jolly Roger was abut to embark on yet another adventure.

Milah was loving every minute of this life so far. Sure, she hadn't been on the Jolly Roger very long, but from the time she stepped foot on the ship she knew that this was exactly where she belonged. The hardest part was leaving Baelfire, but she knew that this was no life for him.. not yet, at least. She would test the waters so to speak, and then go back for him. She'd take him from her cowardly husband when he was only a couple years older, and she'd bring him with her and they could live free of the restraints of society.. a society that would probably treat Baelfire horribly because he was the son of Rumplestiltskin. She couldn't think of that now.. this was all for Bae. Deep down..it was for him. And maybe for her selfish desires as well.
The captain of the ship, known as Hook, had her enthralled from the beginning. He had enticed her with tales of adventure and danger. It drew her in like a moth to the flame. And now, he was speaking to she and the rest of the crew about searching for a lost city filled with treasures untold.. Honestly, it all felt so surreal. She knew that it was really happening, but part of her still though that she'd wake up and it would all be a beautiful dream. She'd wake up, do her chores, suffer through pretending to still be in love with Rumplestiltskin, and she'd go to work to avoid her home life..as she had every day since the coward ran home with his tail tucked between his legs. Allowing herself to believe that this was really happening, she joined in with the cheers from the rest of the crew, sharing their excitement for the quest they were about to embark on! This would be her first as part of the crew.
Only yesterday did she purchase the proper clothing. She was no longer the sweet tavern girl wearing blouses and skirts, and bell sleeved dresses.. Now she was wearing leather. Corsets. Long boots. She was really looking the part, and she felt like a real woman for the first time in her life. When he asked if they were ready to start their adventure, he addressed her as 'lass' since he had said lads previously. A small smile curved on to her lips. She wouldn't have minded so much being one of the men, but she appreciated that Hook still saw her as a woman. This was important to her, because she was certainly seeing him as far more than her captain..she saw him as a man. An incredibly attractive man. "Let's go find our treasure, Captain!" She called out, with a loud cheer following from both her and the crew.

you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE Killian smiled at the crew's enthusiasm over their newest adventure. "Prepare to set sail!" He instructed and with that single command, everyone knew what to do. They scurried about, taking their positions as their jobs were already delegated to them -- they knew where to be and what role to play aboard the Jolly Roger.
As the crowd dispersed, Killian's eyes trailed over Milah, as a smirk played on his lips. He slightly raised an eyebrow as he took in the sight of her latest attire. "Looks like a pirate's life really does suit you, lass," he told her, of course meaning it more as a compliment than anything else. She had the strength, courage and -- most importantly -- craving for adventure. They were the qualities that a pirate tended to consist of, and she fit quite nicely into this world. Had he had any doubt, he wouldn't have let her join his crew.

The rest of the crew dispersed to their posts, readying the sails. She of course didn't have a job on the ship yet, so she merely wandered around, helping where she could. Before she was about to go help with the sails, Killian spoke to her and she turned to look at him. She smiled once more when he said that this life suited her and she gave him a small nod. "Thank you. I agree." She glanced down at her new clothing, and shrugged her shoulders. "Who knew that i'd be more comfortable wearing something like this than I've ever been wearing peasant dresses." That just wasn't her. She wasn't girly enough for it. This..this was perfect.
"Is there anything I can do to help, Captain?" She asked, with a bit of a softness in her voice that she only spared for him. "I want to earn my keep, just as any of the men are doing. I can carry things that are moderately heavy and I can read maps quite well.. I can even read compasses." Of course, that was the Captain's job, but she'd still help in any way she could. "And..I can also cook quite well." The one good part about having been a house wife.. the ability to cook.

you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE Killian continued to smile as she spoke of how she was more comfortable in her current attire than she had ever been before, wearing dresses. It was quite clear that she had been trapped in a life she had not wanted . . . at least this proved to be a welcome alternative. "Well you have adapted to this attire quite nicely. Not that you didn't in peasant dresses," he told her, meaning his words though offering them as a bit of a playful tease. She then asked if there was anything she could assist with.
Most of the crew had their specific jobs, yet Milah -- being the most recent recruit -- had not yet been assigned one. He supposed it was his job to do so as Captain of the ship. She even offered to cook -- which would be welcome after some of the things that they were forced to eat. "Tell you what love, as we both procured this map together, why don't you assist me in navigating." He didn't technically need assistance, he was quite capable of doing it on his own . . . however, he wanted to teach her as much as he could. And what better way to do that than to allow her to help him steer in the intended direction. He then motioned to the ship's wheel, a smile playing on his lips. "After you," he told her. He of course had his own personal and selfish reasons for delegating her for this task . . . for it was not only to teach her, but also, to spend some more time with her.

The flattery of the Captain made Milah smile. She was just drawn to him, since the moment she met him. Perhaps that was why she was so quick to run away with him on the Jolly Roger.. or at least, one of the many reasons. When he insinuated that she looked good in her new attire, as well as the wardrobe she'd had when he met her in the tavern, she took the compliment happily. "I'm glad you approve, Captain." She had a bit of a flirty tone in her voice.. but she wasn't about to take it back. The two of them had a rather flirtatious relationship since they met.. it wasn't something new. He then told her to follow him to help him navigate. Milah could feel excitement building within her like a shaken up carbonated beverage. "Really?" She asked, joy filling her eyes.
She followed him to the wheel. Not everyone was allowed to stand by the Captain while he steered, and Milah, who was new on the ship, was chosen to do just that. He then revealed that he wanted her to help him steer. Her heart started to pound quickly in her chest, and she moved toward the wheel. Her fingertips touched the wheel, and already, even with that slight touch, she felt so much.. power. It sent chills running through her body. "Would you teach me to steer, Captain?" She had a rather flirtatious tone again in her voice as her finger glided over the wood of the wheel. "I've always wanted to learn." This would be ideal. Not only would she get to learn how to steer a ship..but she'd have Killian's body close to her's, and his hands over her own. It would be..bliss.

Tag: @returnofmilah you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE Killian smiled as she said she was glad that he believed she adapted well. And he didn't miss the bat of her lashes, though did not comment on it. He merely enjoyed the sight, as he often did when his eyes lay on her in all her beauty. Seeing her reaction to his offer made it incredibly worth it. The excitement she felt in assisting him with steering and navigating the ship. She went over to the position he usually assumed and found he didn't mind in the slightest that she was there. Had it been anyone else . . . well, he may have found issue with it. Then again, not many would dare try to take his role. He followed her to the wheel of his ship as she took in the sight and asked if he would show her how to steer.
"Aye. I would be glad to," he told her truthfully. Standing behind her, he took one of her hands in his own and raised it to one of the knobs on the wheel. He then did the same with her other hand, casually resting each hand of his on top of each of hers . . . casually, and conveniently. He then leaned forward a little, looking ahead of him though speaking in her ear, as her back was against his front. "Feel that, love?" He began to ask in a low voice. "The waves of the current. The breeze of the wind. The scent of the sea." The utter freedom that could not be attained anywhere else. "Seize the moment and just take it all in." He took in a deep breath, though it was more her scent he was taking in than the water's . . . and that, was not by accident or unplanned.

Milah took hold of the wheel, and although she was mostly concentrating on steering, she was a bit distracted by the Captain behind her. He held her hands, teaching her in a rather intimate way how to steer the ship. She wasn't complaining even a little bit. Her eyes fluttered closed for only a brief moment when he asked her if she could feel the waves, the breeze, and if she could smell the scent of the sea.. even before he had requested for her to take it all in, she was. Suddenly, although she was feeling before like she belonged here, she finally knew that this was what she was meant to do her entire life.
Finally she was hearing the siren's call, so to speak. Feeling the breeze rush through her hair as she inhaled deeply, catching the scent of the sea.. it was all perfect. "I can feel it.." she spoke softly. It wasn't the only thing she felt..but she would think about that another time. "It feels like...home." The sea was calling to her. It was pulling her in, and suddenly.. everything just made sense. Everything in her life before.. being a housewife, and a barmaid, it was nothing compared to this. For the first time since she was a young girl, filled with dreams.. she felt.. happy.
