Getting to know you (Killian)

Tinkerbell knew that this wasn't forever. She knew that eventually, she'd have to send Hook and his crew back to the Enchanted Forest, and she also knew that she couldn't go back..because she had been cast out. But.. she had gotten attached to the pirate, and she found herself eager to see him every day that he was there. She'd been getting to know more about him, but she didn't ask any questions that she was sure he didn't want to talk about. It was nice though, to get to know the man behind the pirate captain. It made her feel even closer to him, and that was nice here in Neverland..to be close to someone. She had friends here, in some of the lost boys, but the..adult conversations would be missed. 

She had walked toward his ship, but she didn't know if she should have approached it. She didn't want to get herself killed, and it wasn't like she could shrink herself down and fly there. "Hook!" She shouted, realizing that this was exactly what would get her chased by a crew of pirates who didn't quite know her. She bit down on her lip, and moved  a little closer. There were a few men awake, but she couldn't quite see who they were. Well...best that she went to see for herself. Just as she was about to announce herself, she saw a portly little gentleman.. one she recognized as the man who she knocked unconscious a couple of days prior. She realized this was probably a bad idea, and she turned, rushing back to the woods.

It's Always Nice

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

Killian had been in his quarters supposedly resting, though sleep was far from his mind. It was moments such as these that he felt most haunted by his past, and being trapped on his island . . . well, it didn't make things any easier. Although, a certain fairy certainly had. Among Pan and his minions, he had found the company of a beautiful fairy that he had developed quite the bond with. It went to show just how much there was to this island.

He had lost a few men while venturing the terrain and so it was safest to remain on his ship for the time being. A voice calling out to him broke him from his thoughts as he rose from his chair. He twisted his hook back into its place and quickly ascended the stairs. By the time he got there, the source of the voice was gone, though he would have recognized it anywhere. Then again, there weren't exactly many adult women on his island. Only one in fact.

"She just hurried off into the woods, Cap'n," Smee informed him as the rest of the men looked puzzled at the space she had once occupied. Hook stepped off his ship and back onto the ground of this blasted place. But at least in this case, it was worth it. He followed the trail, not taking long t catch up to her. "Oye, Tink," he called out. "The next time you call out my name, why not wait for me to come. You know I wouldn't leave a woman yearning, it's bad form," he said with a playful smirk.

Tinkerbell had reached the treeline, just as she heard someone shouting her name. She spun on her heels to see Hook standing there. He told her to wait next time.. and she gave him a very small, very nervous, smile. "It's late," she spoke quickly. "I... didn't want to startle your crew and I.. I.." She could feel a blush suddenly running through her cheeks. "I wanted to see you.." She held her hands in front of her, clutching them together. She didn't want to sound silly, telling him that she couldn't stop thinking about him..but it was sort of true. "I guess I definitely went about things the wrong way.." Nice going, Tink... She thought to herself. Way to make yourself look like a fool.

"Anyway, I hope I didn't interrupt anything important." But he was here now, which meant that perhaps he had been wanting to see her as well. She glanced back at the treeline, very much wanting to get away from the forest for a few minutes. "Would it be rude of me to ask to sit with you on your ship for awhile to talk? I just.. I just want to be off of the island for even just a little while." She couldn't leave the island..but as long as there was some sort of escape from it for a short time, she'd be a happy, happy fairy.

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

Killian's smirk remained in place as he raised an eyebrow, hearing her say that she didn't want to startle his crew but that she wanted to see him. "Of all the things that could startle my crew on this island, you me lass, are not among them," he assured her. "In fact, I believe you would be a most welcome sight to them all." Who wouldn't want to lay eyes on a beautiful woman? She seemed nervous with her words, as he noticed the blush grace her cheeks, which only caused him to continue to smile.

She went on to say that she hoped she wasn't interrupting anything, and then finished by expressing her desire to speak to him on his ship . . . wanting to get off the island for a bit. "That is hardly rude love," he continued to reassure her. "I too would much rather stay on my ship than remain grounded on this accursed island." His ship was always his preferred area, but particularly here. "Why don't we go out sailing tonight. I'll take you on a tour of these waters," he stated, having no issue with getting his crew to prepare for this. There was nothing else to do in this place anyway. "And show you the extent of my vessel," he added on, a bit of a suggestive tone to his voice. "Shall we?" He further asked, extending his arm for her. He wanted to help ease her mind when it came to approaching him. Her company, unlike most others to dwelled on this land, was most welcome to him.

Tinkerbell truly loved humans. She loved everything about them.. especially the feelings that came along with being one. So much, that it had effected her, and she managed to have those emotions herself. This got her in trouble with the other fairies.. because she meddled in the affairs of humans more than she should have.. and it was probably going to get her in trouble now. Not so much trouble that she'd get reprimanded, but.. perhaps her feelings would go haywire after Hook had to leave the island. But.. that wasn't happening now.. and she did always love living in the present rather than the future. 

He asked her to go sailing with him.. that he would give her a tour of the sea that surrounded Neverland. It was, admittedly tempting. She never got to see anything like that, since she didn't have wings anymore. She was sure it wouldn't hurt anything.. after all, she would still be in Neverland. "Sailing? I'd like that.. I've never been sailing before." She'd never even really been on a ship, as far as she could recall. He then told her that he'd give her a tour of his..vessel. She understood the flirtation in her voice, but it took a moment for the innuendo to click. "From what I already know of your vessel, i'm quite excited to see what the extensive tour will be like." she retorted in an equally as flirtatious voice. 

Normally, she wouldn't have said anything like that.. but since the two of them had already gotten quite familiar with each other, it was easy to be flirtatious and open with him. She gave him a smile, and walked with him to his ship, happy to finally get off of the island.

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

She stated that she had never been sailing before, and that didn't come as much of a surprise. He imagined that as a fairy, she didn't need to board vessels and travel in such a way. She would have had her wings to provide her with transportation. "Well this is something that can be easily rectified," he told her with a smile. She returned his flirtatious remark with one of her own, and hearing her do so caused him to smile with amusement.

"No worries love, we'll have plenty of time," he stated with a small wink. Once they arrived to the Jolly Roger, they boarded the ship, the men looking toward the captain and their newest guest. "Prepare to set sail, lads. We're taking a tour of the sea." The crew began to make preparations, seeming rather eager to do something rather than just sit about. "Come to the front of the ship lass," he encouraged her as he walked with her there. He closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath of that wonderful scent of the sea, the cool breeze perfect at this time and the calm waters allowing them a steady departure. "Peaceful, ey," he said as he opened his eyes to take in the view. Even on this island, the waters still held a serenity to them.

Tink was in awe when they got on the ship. At Hook's command, the men started to hustle, and move to their posts.. scattering to do their jobs. It seemed so fluid.. so simple..and yet she knew she could never do those tasks. She'd never have any idea of what to do. Hook walked to the front of the ship, and told her to join him there, and she did just that. She stood at the very front where it reached a point, and she looked out  over the sea. She hadn't felt truly free since she got to this island. She inhaled a deep breath, and closed her eyes, smiling. "Incredibly peaceful.." She had almost forgot the definition of the word. Living on that island was far from peaceful.. she always felt that she had to be on her guard.

She lifted her gaze to the sky, and looked at the stars. They were far more visible here than they were through the canopy of the Neverland forest. "And so beautiful, too.." her eyes shifted back to Captain Hook, and she gave him a small smile. "Thank you for bringing me out here on to the ship with you. I can't tell you how horrible life is on that island.. even though, I have a sense that you already know." It didn't take long in Neverland to know  how terrible and  uncomfortable of a place it was. "I wish I could stay here."

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

He smiled when she agreed as they moved further away from the shore and into the surrounding waters. She added on that it was beautiful, and thanked him for bringing her here. He could most definitely understand the horror of being stuck on the island for so long. Especially since it wasn't his first time here . . . but perhaps that was a story better told another day.

She finished by saying that she wished she could stay here and he looked at her. "You're welcome here anytime, love," he assured her. "Being trapped in Neverland is bad enough. Being confined on the island is worse." Even if they were still under Pan's clutches out here, at least he was in his territory on his ship. He had far more control over things than he would have on land. "I already lost a great deal many men on the island." From the strange tricks and traps that Peter Pan seemed to have set up everywhere. "So as I said, should you ever wish to seek refuge aboard the Jolly Roger, consider a permanent invitation extended to you." And he honestly meant that. The others he would hardly permit, but Tinkerbell was quite the exception.

Tinkerbell was appreciative of a lot of things that Killian provided for her. She was thankful that he took her away from the island for a short time.. he'd given her conversations that she couldn't have with anyone else otherwise.. and he gave her hope, that one day she might find her way back to the Enchanted Forest. And one more thing he'd given her was a feeling that she hadn't felt for quite some time. ...Tinkerbell and Captain Hook wouldn't have an epic romance that would stand the test of time, but they could have romance. He was able to ignite a spark in her that she had thought would lie dormant forever..because she was afraid of being hurt. "Thank you.. I really, really appreciate your offer. And..I think i'll take you up on it as much as possible." Or at least until he got sick of her.. Or, until he left the island.

She knew he wanted to leave.. and she didn't blame him. But he was meant for greater things than staying here on an island to be pestered by a bunch of adolescent boys, a murderous preteen sociopath, and a fallen fairy. Which is why the next words came from her lips, even though she didn't want to say him..because she knew she would miss him. "Hook..what if I told you that I could get you off of this horrible island? I've told you that I was a fairy.. and I still have some pixie dust that could get your ship in the air long enough for you to get home safely." She lifted her eyes to the sky, suddenly feeling nervous. "We'll have to wait until the shadow leaves to choose another boy.. which Pan will likely have it do tomorrow evening.. but.. I want to try to get you home. Where you belong."

She stepped close to him, and looked up in to his eyes. "Pirate or not.. You're too good for this place. I..i've grown to like you very, very much and I want nothing more than for you to be safe." The last time she cared for someone, she couldn't save him. He had been cursed to be a living suit of armor without a heart. She couldn't bare to lose someone else she cared for. Not when she could do something about it.

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

He turned his head back to look at the still waters as she thanked him, but her next words caused him to look at her with intrigue. She was telling him that she could help him get off the island? That was part of it. The major part of it. The other difficulty was dealing with Pan; finding a way to let him get off the island. The last time he and Liam had been on here it wasn't so much of an issue . . . but this time, he doubted Pan would just let him go. He remained silent, hearing her say that he was too good for this place -- which he of course didn't agree with -- and that she had grown to like him.

The feeling was mutual, for he was greatly fond of her as well. He let several moments of silence linger before he responded. "If you were to tell me all that," he said, responding to her initial statement of 'if she told him'. "Then I would say it sounds like you have no intention of leaving with me." She had mentioned earlier that she couldn't, but that did not mean he would stop trying to convince her. "And I can't understand why the bloody hell not." He turned his body a bit more so that he was directly facing her. "This is no place for just as you claim it is not one for me." She thought he was too good for this place? Well, she was far better than he.

"My desire to get off this island is to avenge the woman I love." Something he had told her upon their initial meeting. and now that he knew about the dagger . . . he could destroy the Dark One. "But you, you don't belong here either Tink." Fairy or not; fallen fairy or not. This was no place for them. "You claim you want to see me safe," he paused for a moment, raising his hand to her cheek to tuck a strand of stray hair behind her ear, letting his fingers caress her cheek for a moment. "Well perhaps I want the same for you." To see her safe, knowing that she was away from this wretched place.

Tink's heart ached when he spoke his realization that she wouldn't.. couldn't go with him. She had informed him before that she couldn't, but he was still unable to accept it. She would have left with Hook  in a heartbeat if she could have.. but it was impossible. He wanted her to be safe.. because he had grown fond of her as well.. but he needed to find the creature who killed the woman that he had loved, and she needed to stay here.. to keep Pan and his boys at bay as much as possible from the inside. "I would love nothing more than to go with you, Hook.. but I was banished from the Enchanted Forest. I can never return there. This.. this is going to have to be my home." She didn't yet have the courage to face Blue and the rest of the fairies. She didn't believe in herself.. not at all. But she wouldn't tell him that.. it would make things harder.

He tucked her hair behind her ear, and his hand caressed her cheek. It was a soft touch, filled with tenderness. She closed her eyes, savouring the brief touch, and when he finished speaking, she opened her eyes once more. "Pan will never let me leave, Hook..but perhaps one day.. you'll come back for me, and I'll be able to come with you." She spoke with a teasing tone..but deep down, she had hope that it would one day come true. "But we have tonight.. and our sea exploration. And.. you still have to give me that vessel tour. Don't think I've forgotten.." Her eyes shone as she looked in to his. He'd likely be able to see that there was more in them than just sadness. She didn't want to waste their time together.. not at all.

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

She admitted that she wanted nothing more than t go with him, but that she was banished from the Enchanted Forest, and that this place would have to be her home now. "Who said that you had to return to the Enchanted Forest?" He said with a smirk as he subtly suggested that she reside somewhere else. Hell, he wouldn't even be opposed to allowing her to remain on the Jolly Roger for as long as she desired. But her next words of Pan not letting her leave, caused this idea to further slip away. Hook knew that finding a way off was only half the plan, for Pan also wouldn't be so quick as to let Hook leave.

He would need to think of a plan to convince him. "If you don't come with me with time, then I assure you the next time, I will ensure you'll come with me," he told her, meaning his words. He had no desire to ever return to this blasted place, but he also knew that circumstances could very well bring him back. She then spoke of how they had tonight and that she hadn't forgotten the vessel tour. The expression in her eyes caused him to smile and raise a brow with intrigue. "Aye, I do owe you a proper tour, don't I," he said in the same tone of suggestiveness as he had initially used when presenting the idea of a tour. "If you're ready for that tour now, love, come with me," he said, taking a step forward as he waited to see whether she would like to join him, or take a few more moments gazing out at the vast waters.

Even though Hook was a tough pirate there was a softness about him that drew her to him. She knew that she shouldn't have gotten so attached, but it was diffcult not to. Especially when he was trying so hard to fight for her going with him, even offering to not take her back to the Enchanted Forest. Still though, it wouldn't change the fact that Pan wouldn't let her leave Neverland. "You drive a hard bargain, Captain Hook. It's really hard to tell you no.. even if I don't have a choice in the matter." She gave him a sweet smile.. even though it held a little bit of sadness.

He then assured her that the next time he came to Neverland, that he'd be sure to take her with him, no matter what. Tink knew better, though. She knew that he likely wouldn't come back to Neverland...and even if he did, Pan would likely still try to stop him should he try to take her.. But the notion was enjoyable to think about, and so, she entertained it. "I'll hold you to that one." She gave him a small wink. He then spoke of how he did indeed owe her a tour.. and then he asked if she was ready. For a moment, she looked out over the vast ocean. Once her eyes were satisfied with that view, she turned to an even better one. Hook standing before her, waiting for her to follow. "I'm ready."

She took him by the arm, and smiled a little brighter. "Lead the way..."

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

Tink told him that he drove a hard bargain, and that it was difficult to say no to him. He gave a playful smirk as he responded to her words, slowly leaning toward her. "Which is why I usually have them screaming out yes," he stated with a bit of a wink, his words clearly holding suggestive meaning. He still wasn't going to entirely give up in trying to convince her to with him, and if he was forced to . . . then he wasn't about to leave without ensuring that she was safe.

Even if it meant striking a deal with Pan. Now all he needed was some sort of leverage, or something he could use to convince the man child. After her telling him she would hold him to that, he gave a small nod. She then told him that she was ready, taking his arm and allowing him to lead the way. He escorted her to the lower level of the ship, and led her straight toward the captain's quarters where he proceeded to open the door, letting he step in before he followed suit and closed it behind him. "I thought I would start with my quarters," he said, a flirtation evident in his voice. "Unless you have any objections?" He asked teasingly as he watched her.

It was pretty easy to catch the suggestive tone in his voice when he spoke of how he usually had women screaming yes.. but he was right...at least in her case. Her prior encounter with Killian certainly left her screaming yes. Still though, the way he had said those words made a pleasurable chill running through her body. "I believe you..." She said with a grin. She wanted to say yes to going with him..  but the fact was, that Pan would never let it happen. Unless his reign over Neverland came to a halt.. Tinkerbell was trapped there. She didn't want to talk about that right now, though. The thought of Hook wanting to take her with him, to save her from Neverland, was far too nice of a thought to ruin with the truth. 

He began his tour, by taking her to his quarters. She stepped through the door, and her eyes took in the surroundings. It was much more spacious than she would have thought..but then again, it belonged to the Captain, so it was bound to be more grand than the other cabins. He spoke of how he wanted to start there, but she wasn't going to object. She turned to face him after he closed the door, and she smiled. "Is this how you always start your tours, Captain Hook?" she mused with a playful grin. Not that she was complaining. She gazed at him in the dimly lit room, and she could feel her heart starting to pound faster with anticipation. On the outside, she was playing it cool..but inside, she was flustered.
