Rose McIver| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:.
Tinkerbell isn't like most of the other fairies. She's headstrong, and she has a tendency to cause trouble - even if she doesn't mean to! Pranks are always a fun and exciting way to let off steam to Tinkerbell, as well... which, again, could possibly go badly.
She doesn't like it when she's talked down to, or when people - mostly the Blue fairy - tells her what to do.
Tinkerbell always does everything with the best of intentions, even though it usually manages to go awry. All she wants to do is be a good fairy, but at the same time, she wants to have fun without being told she's doing something wrong.
.:Strengths:.
1. Empathy - She always feels like she needs to help people. She almost feels their pain, and has the need to comfort anyone who needs it.. not to mention feels the desire to completely solve their problems.
2. Magic - When it goes right, Tinkerbell's magic can be powerful and incredibly helpful.
3. Independence - Since she was banished by the other fairies, Tinkerbell learned to get along on her own without any helping hands from anyone else.
.:Weaknesses:.
1.
Magic (Can be both) - It sometimes goes a little wonky
2. Insecurities - The reason why her magic has a little bit of a flaw, is because she has a tendency to stop believing in her powers, and believing in herself.
3. Compulsiveness - Although her insecurities keep her held back from time to time, she has the tendency to jump head first in to any situation, especially when someone needs help.| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |

.:History:.
It was never easy for Tinkerbell to be like the other fairies. She was far too much of an independent personality to be able to conform along with the rest of them. The Blue Fairy was their leader.. she was the authority among the fairies, and She seemed to always have a bone to pick with Tinkerbell. It started when She decided that she no longer wanted to merely be called "Green," but rather, she wanted her own name. Tinkerbell, is what she called herself.
She always thought it was important for she and other fairies to help those in need, but she had a way of doing it to the extreme. True love and happy endings were Tink's favorite things, and whenever she saw an opportunity to give those things to someone, she took them no matter what the cost...even if it was by stealing fairy dust. This happened on two occasions. The first time didn't seem like that big of a deal..but the second time is where things went horribly wrong. She met a woman, named Regina. She was looking for true love..for her happy ending. Wasn't that what everyone wanted? Regina was married to a king who she didn't love, and she had a step daughter who seemed to upset her. Poor Regina was miserable.. And so Tinkerbell decided she needed to help!
After explaining to Regina that she was a fairy, she used her fairy dust to fly with her to find her true love. Tinkerbell knew right away who it was when she saw him through a door to a tavern. He was perfect! He was the one for Regina.. her true love. Tinkerbell's magic led them straight to him! And so, after giving Regina strict orders to go speak to the man, Tinkerbell took her leave. Later that evening when she went to speak to Regina, she was turned away. Regina told her she was a horrible fairy, and it broke the fairy's heart. Stealing fairy dust was what got her in trouble.. It was her second and final strike, and the Blue Fairy took away her wings after proclaiming she no longer believed in her.
Once she was banished by the fairies, she had nowhere to go, and she managed to make her way to Neverland where she learned how to take care of herself. It was in Neverland that she meant a pirate captain named Hook who knew she was a fairy. He wanted her to fufill his wish.. to give him his happy ending.. but she couldn't even if she wanted to. She had explained that she no longer had her wings and she was powerless. The two of them shared a drink of rum, and parted ways.
She finally made it off of the island when Hook came back with several people in tow who were there to take down Pan and his shadow. Once they left the island, she went with them. It was lucky she did.. because it turned out that Pan was on that very ship even though no one knew it at the time. Wendy Darling had a small vial of pixie dust that she gave to Tinkerbell as a gift.. although she couldn't use it. She instead, draped it around her neck and used it as a necklace.
Regina, the very woman who sent her away so coldly, was her first step at getting her status as fairy back. She believed in her..and it made the dust begin to glow. It dulled out again however.. and when she couldn't make it glow again, the Blue Fairy refused Regina's request to give Tinkerbell her wings back, stating that if Tinkerbell didnt' believe in herself, Blue could not believe in her either.
When Pan -in the body of Henry - attempted to take over Storybrooke with a second curse, Rumplestiltskin knew he had to help switch bodies back so that Henry would be himself again. To do this, he needed a powerful outlet..and so, Tinkerbell went on a mission to find the wand of the Black Fairy that was once in possession of the Blue Fairy who had lost her life because of Pan's shadow. Along with her, went Hook and David. Together, they defeated Pan's shadow, and retrieved the wand. Once the shadow was defeated, Blue was brought back to life. This inspired Blue to believe in Tinkerbell, and she was allowed to be a fairy once more.
Since the second curse, Tinkerbell has been living with the fairies once more, helping only when she can.. Even though she still gets the itch to butt in where she doesn't belong. This time though, it's different.. this time -she- has the wand.. and she can bend the rules all she likes...as long as they're not completely broken.| ~ • ~ | Sample Post | ~ • ~ |
Tinkerbell had nowhere else to go. She was banished from the fairies, she was wingless, and worst of all.. Blue had said that she didn't believe in her anymore. The most horrible thing for a fairy was to have no one believe in them. It was draining, and Tinkerbell felt exhausted. She roamed around the Enchanted Forest for a little while, but it just didn't feel right. Not to mention it would have been horrible to run across Regina after what had just happened, so she knew she had to leave. How though, was still a question to her.
During this time, a strange occurrence was happening in the Enchanted forest.. There were boys being stolen away from their homes by a shadow. At least that's what the talk of one particular village had been. The streets were chaotic with weeping parents..and although Tink wished she could have done something, it was impossible. Or was it? Deciding that she was going to try saving one of the boys, she sneaked in to the village in the middle of the night, and perched on a roof behind a chimney. Sure enough, there it was.. flying toward the house she had been sitting on.. it looked like a terrifying ghost. And exactly how it had been described, it went through a window, and then left as quickly as it went...with a boy holding it's hand.
With wide eyes, she watched as the shadow left the house, and feeling brave - because, what else did she have to lose? She latched on to the child's ankle. There was a bit of a struggle, but apparently it was too late, because the shadow continued to fly away. "Oh no you don't!" Tinkerbell shouted. "You let him go!" She looked down, and realized that she couldn't fly on her own anymore. "Oh! No! Don't let him go, don't let him go!!" She screamed as she closed her eyes tightly. She didn't even realize that they were flying to a completely different land.. that was, until she fell and hit solid ground. The shadow dropped her before he took the boy to a different location.
Feeling worse than what she had felt before, Tinkerbell opened her eyes and sat up on her knees. "Little boy?!" She called out, feeling absolutely helpless now. "No! No no!" She huffed. She'd failed yet again! No wonder Blue didn't believe in her.. Where was she? This wasn't the enchanted forest.. this was something else.. This was.. what was that?
She could hear the sound of waves crashing against a beach, so she decided to investigate. What she saw, was an ocean. She was on an unfamiliar island, and she was all alone.. except for that shadow.. and who knew what else was there. "I guess this is it, then.." she muttered.. and from then on.. she knew that she was on her own, and she had better learn to get used to it.
