Zelena knew she needed to get out of this place. She needed to find a way to continue her revenge, but without being trapped in this cell forever. She knew that Glass had been trapped down here, as well as Belle, but she needed more to this. She needed to find a way to enact her revenge, but retain her freedom. Her powers were still intact, and she didn't want to risk Regina knowing she had gotten out by magic. She didn't know if she had any spells locking her inside and if triggered would alert her. No, she needed to get out the old fashioned way. She needed someone to let her out. Looking to the walls, she wondered who would come to her rescue. Her sister hadn't come to see her since she confessed her love for herself, typical. But what she was waiting on was someone else to see her. She knew that Robin would sooner or later, but it wasn't him she was waiting on. She was waiting on one of the Charmings.
Snow, David, or Emma. Any of them would do. She had to just twist their arms into letting her out. They were too noble to not let her try to redeem herself. She could sense an arrival coming, and it seemed that her thoughts were helping her. She could sense it was a female, and someone who was wanting to come and talk to her. That was all she knew. She moved back to her, which was harder than expected now a days with the baby starting to grow. She looked once more to the door and waited for them to open the door. Hearing it creak, she saw that Snow White was entering. Selena felt the corners of her mouth lift, and waited to see what the dark haired beauty would reply. "What do I owe the pleasure?" she asked, smiling pleasantly.

Mary Margaret was trusted with the task of talking to Zelena, helping to reason with her if there was a specific thing that they needed her to do. Zelena was powerful, very powerful with magic, possibly even more than Regina or Emma. Everyone else was so caught up in trying to interrogate Zelena that they had no care to try to empathize with her. Snow wanted to give Zelena a reason to be a little sane in the world where it seemed as if everyone hated her. Mary Margaret never really hated Zelena, but Zelena showed to be a threat to her and her family, so she had no choice but to do the things she did to her. With a splendid smile on her face, the dark-haired beauty looked at the receptionist to the dreary asylum and spoke, "I'm here to see Zelena. I really do love what you've done with your hair. It looks so delightful." The receptionist smiled and beckoned Snow to proceed forth, allowing her to go to the room by herself.
This wasn't the first time Mary Margaret visited a patient in the psych ward in the hospital. In fact, Dr. Whale allowed her to see Belle while she was still cursed. Snow was tasked to talk to Zelena, to see if Zelena would come out and act normal. She knew the magical barriers that kept Zelena locked up would hold her for a very long time, but she spoke to her family and said how inhumane it was to keep a pregnant woman locked up. It would have done a toll to Snow's physical health and staying in there with no-emotional support would drive someone crazy. Nonetheless someone who wasn't sane. Zelena had wanted Mary Margaret's baby for the time spell, but she had somewhat forgave Zelena. She understood why she did what she did, but still did not fully understand what else there was for her to get. She was reunited with her family, so why was that not enough for her?
Snow's guilty conscious lingered. She still felt regret for killing Cora and Zelena did not know that Snow was the reason she died. She wanted to make amends, but telling Zelena what happened in her physical state was something that Snow wanted to prevent. She walked to Zelena's room and opened the door. She stepped inside and closed it behind her, standing face to face with the wicked soon-to-be-mother. "I wanted you to know that I'm not forgetting that you're pregnant... Well, nobody is. I just want you to know that I am very sorry for you being locked inside of here with your child and I wish we could make things better for you. You were my midwife and you did help me greatly. I certainly have no reason to hate you. The past is in the past and that child inside of you will grow to be a wonderful hero."

Zelena felt some strange feeling of anger when she saw Snow. It wasn't that Snow was a bad person, but that fact that she was sickeningly nice was...well sickening. She was being nice to Zelena when she had done horrific things. Not that Zelena found then horrific, but the fact that she had taken her baby, Snow was still nice and kind. Zelena found it annoying, but she knew that she was going to have to deal with it. Snow was possibly going to get her out of here. From the little speech she had given, she was talking about getting her out because of her being pregnant. The fact as well that she said that her child would be a hero made her want to sneer. She was not willing to have her child grow up to be happy and view her sister as the savior. She remembered hearing Regina's words saying that she would be stuck in there forever. with the worst rights in history.
Zelena needed to change in the eyes of these people in order for her to have her revenge and for her to live a life she wanted to. "Well, I thank you for that Snow. I am glad someone sees me for someone other than a monster. I really want what is best for this child. What can I say? I had to do what I needed to to survive." she said, looking to Snow and let a look of remorse come to her face. "I need to be there for my child. I know Regina doesn't want me involved, but I refuse to be the kind of mother that mine was to me. I won't let this child go thinking that it's birth mother didn't care." she added. That was completely true to the wicked witch. She refused to have a child and be the same kind of person her mother was to her. She wouldn't let that cycle continue.

Mary Margaret wasn't foolish enough to just let Zelena leave, she still felt like she had to empathize with her as well. She wanted to see the good in Zelena and she knew there was quite a bit. Zelena was selfish, yes, and had a bit of a self-absorbed streak to her anger. She was familiar with this sort of complex, and ironically enough, it came from Regina. Even though they were separated, Regina and Zelena had strikingly similar resemblances when it came to their sensitivity. Mary Margaret knew that Zelena would probably keep a grudge on Regina and Cora for as long as she lived. Mary Margaret felt this way about Regina. She knew that Regina would probably never feel any love or compassion to Snow after what she did. However, she did feel like Regina was more accepting of her now, despite their past.
She wanted Zelena to see the light of the situation. Yes, Regina had a life with the Mills family, but Zelena had a lot of good things happen to her, surely. There can always be something positive in something that is negative. Snow didn't always want to seem overly cheerful or optimistic, but with Zelena's rigid structure, if she said one thing that may seem threatening, there would be no way to get Zelena to trust her. She needed trust for a friendship to develop. Mary Margaret was familiar with villains being manipulative in situations to get what they wanted. In fact, Regina had done this to her on many occasions while she was locked up, such as the time Regina was almost sentenced to death. However, there were secrets about Zelena's past that Snow knew. There were things that she was ashamed of knowing.
"I'm sorry for what Cora did to you. But I just wanted you to know that it wasn't completely her fault. She wanted you to have the best life imaginable, to give you your best chance. Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing, especially for your child." Mary Margaret paused, looking at Zelena. She tended to speak quite a bit, as there was much she wanted to say to Zelena. "I'd also like to add that what happened to you wasn't just Cora's fault. In fact, it may have not been her fault at all... My mother, Queen Eva, told a secret, much like my own mistake with Regina. My mother was the reason Cora sent you away."

Zelena was sure that there had to be some sort of reason this girl came in here. There was a reason for it, but she didn't know why. Zelena had her own agenda in wanting to get out of this cell. She needed to find someone who was going to get her out. She needed to play the emotional card. She needed something to do with all of this. She wanted a way to get out and live her life. Whether she got her revenge in the end was another deal, but she couldn't do anything until she got out of this prison. As much as her sister felt like she was protecting the baby and the town from her, she was putting a pregnant woman in prison. Not that it didn't happen with Emma, but Zelena refused that to be her. Looking to Snow she decided to hear what she had to say. Try to be the good person who they all wanted her to be.
Listening to her, Zelena sat back and waited for the speech to be over, but there was something that made the thin hairs on her arm spike, her spine straighten, and her eyes widen. It was Snow's mother who had done this to her? She was supposed to have lived the life she always wanted. Regina would never have been born, but what happened? It was not Regina who had fully been responsible, it was this girl's father and mother who had done this. Why did he not show the kindness that Snow talked about so feverishly? Why did he do what he had done to someone who was in the same shoes as Zelena was in now? She felt her heart clench and her fury burn deep in her belly. In that moment, she knew that her revenge was not close to being complete. Not until Snow White was dead.
Feeling her body so tense, she relaxed it and stared at the woman before her. "I...am deeply saddened by what has happened in the past. But I can't move forward and be the mother I want to be if I continue to feel so upset about the past." she replied. She knew that she needed to put on the poker face. Snow would never trust her if she unleashed wrath and frustration.
