Milah hadn't had a chance to experience pregnancy while she was still alive. Now, she was able to have it all...the good and the bad. It gave Milah great hair, and it made her other..assets look quite better in her opinion. But, there was also the bad things that she had to deal with. Morning sickness, and off the wall hormones, for example. Her moods swung in insane circles, and even Milah got irritated with herself at times. She had a problem getting comfortable in normal clothes so she was back to wearing dresses. At least these ones were nice, and not like the peasant dresses she used to have to wear. These ones were a fair bit shorter, so that she could at least be comfortable. Four months pregnant, and she was already feeling like a whale.
She was showing a bit but her baby bump was still rather small. She had taken a walk earlier, and she even met up with Emma for coffee. She was a nice girl, and she could see why Killian chose to love her.. But she was still going to hold a torch for Killian that would always burn bright. Nothing could stop that.. she was just.. in love with him. Milah got back to her room at the b&b, and after awhile of going through things that were on that strange little box that people called 'television', she decided that she needed more..realistic company. She picked up the 'telephone' that Killian told her to use if she needed to get ahold of him, and she dialed the number he had given her. "Killian, please come over. I'm going crazy with boredom. I love..." she paused, and continued. "I'd love a coffee too, please?" There! She saved it.
She caught herself doing that a lot when she got Killian's voice mail or message box or whatever that thing was called where she left messages for him. She'd tell him she'd love him almost, every time. She really had to get that in check.

you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE Killian had been out and about looking around Storybrooke for a flat that they could stay in after Milah had the baby. They couldn't stay at Granny's inn, nor on his ship . . . so he needed to find a proper roof for their head. He also knew that he hadn't worked out all the logistics of how this was all going to work . . . he was just trying to focus on their unborn child right now and supposed would have to figure out the rest along the way. He didn't want to tell Milah right now, not wishing to stress her out with anything. He would easily make all the arrangements for he already knew their current . . . situation was stressful and emotional enough. Not to mention the inevitable disorientation that came with her arriving in Storybrooke, after being dead for centuries.
Hearing his talking phone ring he reached into his pocket and saw Milah's name there, immediately answers. She asked for coffee and that she needed to see him for she was going crazy with boredom. Her next words . . . the ones that almost slipped out caused him to pause and close his eyes for a moment, begging her not to say them, even though he longed to hear them. A horrible contradiction. She didn't though and he wasn't sure if he was relieved or disappointed. "I'm on my way," he told her. He made his way to Granny's, ordering her a hot chocolate made from milk rather than coffee, and ordered some food in case she was hungry. Once everything was prepared, he made his way to her room, knocking on the door and unable to open it considering he only had one hand, and was holding the bag of food between his teeth.

Milah relaxed, knowing that Killian was on his way. She hated that she was able to talk to him, and see him every day, but she couldn't tell him she loved him. She couldn't even kiss him knowing that in the situation they were in that it was taboo. She knew Emma, and felt bad for everyone around. But, in her mind.. she was confused. Emma's former boyfriend Graham was back.. why couldn't the blonde just love him instead of Killian? It was strange, being pregnant. One minute she felt empathetic toward Emma and the next, she was cursing the Princess for taking away her pirate. Her mind raced the whole time she waited for Killian. It seemed like forever, but she finally heard a knock at the door.
She stood up, and quickly crossed the room, opening the door. She smiled when she saw that he had food, as well as a cup in his hand. "Aww, Killian.. you brought me food.. how did you know I was hungry?" She asked, taking the bag from out of his mouth so that he could speak. How did he know she was hungry? Well, maybe it was the constant food cravings that Milah was having lately. She pulled the bag open to see what he had gotten her, and she smiled. "French fries! My favorite. And a burger!" They were a favorite of her's since she had gotten there. It was seemingly a favorite around town. She then took the cup from him when it was offered, and she took a sip. Her eyelashes fluttered. "Ooh.. what is this? It's delicious!" It was certainly not that coffee stuff.. it tasted so much better!
"Killian.." She went from smiling, to her face suddenly contorting with sadness. "You're.. so.. good to me!" She then began to cry. Was she happy? Or was she sad? No one would be able to tell. "You're such a good father.. and a good...a good.." Her eyes lifted, and she looked in to his. "Everything.. You're.. just.. a good everything.."

you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE Killian smiled when she took the bag from his mouth and asked how he knew she would be hungry. "Just a hunch," he said teasingly. Despite whatever was happening, whatever they were all going through . . . he couldn't deny that he was incredibly excited to be a father. And the joy of having Milah returned. It was perhaps what added to the complicated situation, but how could he ever wish the first woman he ever loved to be dead? He couldn't. Even if he couldn't give her the same intimacy they had once shared . . . he loved her. And he intended to take care of her to the best of his capacity.
When she took a drink of the beverage he continued to smile. "It's called hot chocolate," he told her. "Far more healthy than coffee," he added on in a slightly teasing voice. Anything with a milk base was better than a caffeinated beverage. "I'm glad you like it," he said, relieved that she enjoyed the taste. Her expression then suddenly changed and Killian watched her intently. He still wasn't fully used to the mood swings that came from her pregnancy, thought he doctor had warned them about such things. She claimed that he was good to her . . . that he was a good father, and a good everything. The smile began to slowly fade from his lips, though tried to keep a faint one in place. He knew he was none of that. He wasn't able to commit to her the way she deserved, and he had failed in protecting her and their child all those years ago.
He was undeserving of the praise she was giving him, yet did not want to argue for he knew she would not change her mind about this. And it was what made her such a kind and compassionate woman. Besides, he didn't want to cause any further stress to her so he simply softly smiled and moved a bit closer to her. "And you are a wonderful mother, Milah," he told her with the utmost sincerity. It was far easier to talk of her strengths and sing praise to her, rather than himself. His hand moved to rest on her womb as his smile grew with ease. "Aye, that's right little one," he began to say, slightly lowering his head to talk to their growing child. "When you join us in this world, you'll see just how right I am about that," he said with a continued smile as he gave a bit of a wink to Milah. For their baby would have an incredible, loving mother in Milah.

Milah hummed in delight. Hot chocolate.. it was wonderful. Healthier than coffee which was a good thing, considering she had a baby on the way. Her first taste of coffee came only a couple days after she arrived in Storybrooke, and even though she had gone easy on it.. it was still a guilty pleasure. Lucky enough for her, hot chocolate tasted even better. She was getting a little emotional, thinking of what a wonderful father he would be. They were supposed to be parents together, but because of the circumstances.. things wouldn't be exactly how she had hoped they would. He then told her that she'd be a wonderful mother, and to make things even harder on her, he lowered himself to speak to their child that was growing in her stomach, after placing his hand there. He told their baby that it would have a wonderful mother in Milah, and in response, Milah lifted a hand and lightly combed her fingers through the top of his hair, smiling when he winked at her.
She then realized that this..wasn't a fantasy. It was real, and she wasn't supposed to be tunneling her fingers in to Killian's hair right now. He was still confused over her and Emma. Nothing was to transpire until after the baby was born. She was suddenly feeling guilt in the pit of her stomach, as well as sadness. Her hand lowered from his scalp to his cheek, and she watched him intently. "Thank you for those kind words, Killian..." She wanted to bend down to kiss the top of his head, but her position was a little awkward thanks to her ever-rounding shape. "This is the closest you've gotten to me since I've arrived..are you aware of that?" She asked with a slightly teasing tone in her voice.

you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE Killian felt her hand run through his hair, a gesture that he had always found extremely comforting . . . even now. He knew that allowing this, encouraging this contact was incredibly selfish of him. It wasn't fair to Milah, it wasn't fair to Emma. As her hand moved to his cheek, he lowered his gaze, hearing her thank him for the kind words. He then stood straight once more, breaking the contact of her hand on his skin as well as his hand on her stomach. Her next words caused those feelings of guilt in the pit of his stomach to intensify.
He knew she was teasing, but he also knew just how true those words were. "I know," he admitted in a low voice. "I am sorry for that, Milah. Truly." He looked at her softly, unsure how this was all going to work and knew he could only take it day by day. "I'm sorry that things can not be the way they once were right now." He didn't know what the future held, but the last thing he wanted to do was cause her any stress. "Let's just focus on our baby," he said as he continued to lightly smile. "How are you feeling today?" There was so much that would need to be sorted, including living arrangements. He knew he would have to speak to Milah and Emma about said arrangements when the baby came . . . for Killian did not want to be apart from his son or daughter.

Milah could feel her heart ache as he moved away from her touch, and he took his hand away from her as well. He reiterated that the two of them couldn't be like they once were for now.. and instead they had to focus on their baby. It may have been selfish of Milah, and perhaps it made her not a good mother..but when she was in a mood like this, it was hard to focus on the needs of their unborn child..for she had her own. He asked how she was feeling and she wasn't about to lie to him. "If you really want to know.. I'm in an incredibly unfortunate position." She moved toward the bed, and wrapped her hands around one of the bed posts. "During a pregnancy.. a woman sometimes feels, needs that can't be fulfilled."
She turned to look at him, keeping her hands on the bed post. "Unless of course.." She moved toward him once more, reaching to the side to grab the hot chocolate. "You'd be willing to put your morals aside and help me with my problem..." She took the lid off of the hot chocolate, and noticed there was still a bit of whipped cream that hadn't melted in to the chocolate. She dipped her finger in to the cup, and lifted the finger to her lips, licking the cream from it. "I won't tell.. it'll be our little secret. You want to make me comfortable.. don't you, Killian?" She was being brazen, and playing dirty..but Milah never backed down from something she wanted. She was anything but a coward.
