Here she was again, in Granny's Diner, finding herself getting lost in a pile of french fries that were covered in nacho cheese. Something about those little deep fried strips of potato covered in cheese sent her in to heaven. Still though, she was a little distracted by getting drowned in her own thoughts, just as those fries were drowning in aged cheddar. It was wonderful to be a fairy again, but she still felt out of place with the others. Things were better now..she had more freedom..but she still felt like she was being judged somehow. She never understood why the others were so uptight about helping others... she knew everything she had done was right.. so why was she questioning i?
A sigh escaped the fairy's lips before she lifted her glass that was filled with coke-a-cola, and she took a sip before lifting one of the fries off of the plate and eating it. "Would you mind hitting me with a refill, Ruby?" She asked as she nodded to her glass. Ruby obliged, and refilled her glass with soda. 'Better not drink so much sugar and fly around. Could be dangerous.' she heard Ruby tease her. Tink gave her a small laugh. "What do I look like? A hummingbird? Wait..don't answer that." She gave her a small smile. "Thank you." With a nod, Ruby went off to wait on other customers while Tink went back to her melty golden bliss.

Emma? WHO'S EMMA? I ONLY SEE YOU This was what it had all come down to. After so long and hoping, of fighting for her, bringing her back to this world . . . it mattered not. Did he blame her? Absolutely not. Did that make it any easier? Absolutely not. He completely understood her reasoning, but at the same time, wondered if she would ever let herself be close with another. She had kissed him in Neverland -- claiming it was a one time thing -- and then again here, upon discovery that he had gave in his ship to bring her home. He didn't do this to expect anything from her, his intentions had actually been good. But it made this no easier to bear. Killian cared for her deeply, and to not be able to be with the woman he cared for . . . well, it hurt more than he cared to admit.
It was what perhaps made him sit outside the diner for several moments after Emma left, and what eventually made him rise to his feet and go inside. He knew exactly how he was going to spend the rest of the night. He had drunk beer at the Diner before, and if Red was working, surely she would give him some. Entering the diner, he ignored all others and went straight to the counter. "Whatever the strongest drink in this world is, I need it." He was not messing around, and the she wolf seemed to understand that. She gave him a sympathetic smile -- which was annoying as hell -- and told him she would be right back. He turned around, his back against the counter as he looked at the ground. It was then that he heard a familiar voice. Tinkerbell. What an interesting history they shared . . . one that was mostly limited to their time on Neverland. He looked at her now, his gaze fixating on her. Was it just him or did she look even more beautiful tonight? Hook's mind didn't allow him to be rational. He just felt, numb. He found himself just staring at her, thinking that perhaps he wouldn't have to be alone tonight after all.

Tinkerbell's gaze lifted from her plate when she heard the door chime state that someone was entering the diner. She saw Hook walking inside and looking utterly miserable. This was a cue that things likely didn't go well with Emma. If his sour look wasn't enough to say as such, the fact that he had asked for the strongest drink in the world was certainly an indication. She plucked a fry from her plate and took a bite off of it, letting herself fall in to a moment of concentration. She wished she could have done something.. she knew how much he loved her. Was Emma stupid? If Tinkerbell had someone fight for her like that, she'd be putty in the man's hands!
She had the distinct feeling that she was being watched, so she snapped out of her concentration for a moment and she looked to the side to see Hook staring at her. At first, she wondered if there was something on her face.. maybe some stray cheese or something, and so she grabbed her napkin and wiped her face off. When he continued to look at her, she stood up, lifted her plate and cup, and she walked to sit in the seat next to him. "I've learned that whatever the heartache.. comfort food seems to warm the soul. Cheese fry?" She asked as she sat the plate down between the two of them so that they could share.

Emma? WHO'S EMMA? I ONLY SEE YOU Hook hadn't noticed that she was looking back at him, realizing that he was staring. Not even when she approached him and took a seat next to him. It wasn't until she spoke that he snapped out of whatever intent gaze he had upon her, and slightly turned his head, looking at the plate of food she had in front of her.
"I'd rather go for a comfort drink," he told her, not having the appetite for food. Even though fries were a rather enjoyable indulgence in this world. "It does a far better job," he continued. He returned to looking at her, his gaze a strongly intent one, as his eyes slowly began to look over her, trailing over every inch of her that was visible in this angle. His appetite was for something even beyond food and drink, and another kind of pleasure all together.
"Would you care to join me?" He asked, well aware that he was reverting back to the Hook he was, rather than the Killian he tried to be. It had all been for her, and it hadn't worked, so why bother continuing on this path. He no longer cared, which was why he wanted to drink tonight and let the alcohol numb his mind, heart and soul. He wanted to forget tonight and not think about Swan or continue to hope when it was utterly futile to do so.

The look on Tink's face turned somber when he spoke of comfort drinks. She knew that this would be trouble.. No one should hide their feelings by drowning them in alcohol. That's exactly what he was doing. "Suit yourself," She poked at the cheddar cheese with a stray fry that managed to get away from the golden lava somehow. "You're missing out, I promise." She tried to lighten the mood, but it was clear that this wasn't going to work. When he asked her to join him for a drink, she looked back remembering how she acted when she was drunk in Neverland. She'd rather not have a repeat of the snorting and falling all over the place, so with a small shake of her head she declined the drink. "No thanks.. I will stay here and chat with you, though. I don't know if your memory is serving you well, but I didn't do so good the last time I had liquor." She laughed.
Of course it wouldn't be far to where she'd have to go to sleep it off since she was staying at the B&B, but if she could avoid acting so silly in private then she certainly would! All she needed was Blue coming down on her in a huff. "Hook.." she started, biting her lip as she tried to figure out what to say. "You're not going to find your happy ending in the bottom of a bottle. Maybe she just wasn't the one." She could find out if he really wanted to, she supposed.. but that would involve more pixie dust.. and that would probably be frowned upon. ..Not like she really cared anyway.

Emma? WHO'S EMMA? I ONLY SEE YOU She told him that he was missing out, and Hook felt like returning the words when she politely declined his offer of a drink. It was a bit disappointing, considering just what she had said in their recollection of what happened the last time they had gotten drunk together. Ironically at the time, he had been lamenting in the loss of Milah. Now, it was the loss of Emma -- not in the physical sense for she was still alive, but more in the emotional sense. And he wasn't sure which one was worse. Hope was a dangerous thing to possess and Hook no longer wanted to have it. How could he move on with his life if he constantly saw her with the hope that she would change her mind about them?
Which led him to his next unspoken question: how the hell could he stay in Storybrooke when the only reason he had come, didn't want to be with him? "Aye. I remember. Which is why I was hoping we could recreate such a . . . memorable time of quality bonding," he said, a slight hint of suggestion in his voice. She had laughed about the memory, but he had taken it in a different direction, realizing somewhere in his mind that she could be rather intolerant of his hinting. With the drink now on the table, he picked it up and held it in his hand. He started to take a rather large gulp when she went on to say that he wasn't going to find his happy ending at the bottom of a bottle. He swallowed, hardly cringing at the burn that the drink caused his throat. His taste buds were shot from all the rum he'd consumed in his abnormally long life span.
"Is that the best advice you've got, Fairy?" He asked, his tone lacking any sort of emotion. "Let me enlighten you to something; I have traveled to many realms and worlds, and have come to realize that there is no happy ending." He wasn't looking for pity or sympathy; he was merely stating fact. "Not for some of us, anyway," he added, taking another large gulp of the beverage, wanting it to start taking effect so that his heart could be numbed from the pain that seemed to never be wavering.

Tink wasn't stupid, and she could tell what he was doing. She sensed his suggestive tone.. she'd sensed it before. The last time that Emma declined him, he started to flirt with her.. and this time, it was the same. She felt a bit of an ache in the pit of her stomach when she realized that she was a fall back for the woman who Hook loved. Was she just there for him to hook up with should he want to? Never once had he come to her while Emma was in the picture. She never thought of it before, but it was making her heart ache in a strange way. "I see.." She mused when he told her he wished to re-create the evening that they had gotten drunk on Neverland together.
She hoped he didn't notice the slight tremble in her voice, warning that if she didn't fight it hard, a tear would fall down her cheek. He then spoke of how some people didn't have a happy ending..and maybe he was right. It was hard for Tink to think of, but she'd never have her's. Her happy ending was making everyone else happy.. apparently she wasn't meant to be in love like some of her other fellow fairies. Or perhaps she already was, but she'd never have it returned. "Emma is downright insane for not appreciating your gestures, Hook. And I can tell you're a mess about it.. But you're reverting and you're doing the same thing you did when we got back to Storybrooke. You're trying to get with me because you're angry and hurt and.. have you even considered my feelings?" Her tears started to betray her, and began to shine in her eyes. "No, because it's all about Emma." She took a deep breath, and she stood up, glancing at Red. "Could you put it on my tab? I need air.." Feeling a heartache that confused and angered Tink, she gave a slight flip of her curly hair that was pulled up in to it's normal style, and she started to walk toward the door.

Emma? WHO'S EMMA? I ONLY SEE YOU In his still somewhat sober state, he could tell that she was upset. Not that she was overly expressive of it, but he could see it in her eyes. Hear it in her voice. Yet he made no move to apologize. He just remained silent, taking another sip of his beverage and as he parted it from his lips, she continued talking. She spoke of how Emma was insane for not appreciating what he had done. Perhaps he was the insane one for hoping that they could be together. But Tinkerbell went on, to tell him that he was returning to the man he once was . . . the one who sought her out because he was angry and hurt.
This hadn't been the first time he had made advances toward her, nor was it the first time she rejected him. It was when she asked whether he considered her feelings that he paused and looked at her intently. She spoke of how it was all about Emma and . . . he couldn't completely deny that. But nor did he just seek anyone out. There was certainly something about Tink. Her eyes shined with the threat of tears, and . . . well, it made him loathe himself even more.
He was a pirate. He was not one meant to be happy or make others happy, clearly. She then dismissed herself, saying that she needed air as she was quick to leave his company. He didn't move. Instead, he finished the rest of his drink all at once, closing his eyes and heavily swallowing as he let the taste linger, at the burn felt oh so good. He couldn't let her just walk out like that. Setting the now empty glass down, he spun around and hurried toward the door, just missing her as she walked out. "Tink, wait," he urged, quickly moving past the door and toward her. He reached out to take her arm in attempt to stop her, and moved so that he was now standing in front of her, blocking her from moving forward.
"I don't want it to be," he told her. He didn't want it to be about Emma, even though he couldn't deny the ache in his heart. "Why do we have to bring feelings into this?" Feelings. Loving someone. It was all too complicated and never ended up well. When you loved, you lost. "Why can't we just . . . be what we once were: carefree." Just be together in all the physical ways and damn the consequences and results.
That was of course Hook's perspective; and he feared hers were contrasting to this considering her reaction to his advances. He took a slightly small step forward, and then another one, so that he was even closer in front of her. He knew this was pushing it, but he also just wanted to stop caring about everything else, and let the drink do its work. Yet the alcohol was merely a scapegoat for his own self, for he, was his own worst enemy. "Besides, do you really want to be alone tonight?" He asked, in a low voice, hardly above a whisper, thick with lustful suggestiveness.

Perhaps Tink had been being overly emotional.. It wasn't her fault. She'd spent most of her life trying to help others find their happiness, and when she worried about her own, she got in trouble for it. When she saw Hook moving between her in the door after telling her to wait, she paused, feeling a little embarrassed for acting so crazy for a moment. She even left perfectly good cheese fries sitting there because she acted on an impulse! He told her he didn't want it to be.. he didn't want it to be about Emma. He didn't want feelings to be involved anywhere.. he wanted no strings attached. He needed an outlet..he needed her.
She thought that she should be flattered that he always came to her. There were plenty of women in Storybrooke, but as his friend.. he came to her. No one else seemed to care about anything, aside from the other fairies... so when he spoke to her, clearly a man desperate to forget his lost love, she listened with a different ear. Not one of a bitter girl, upset that she was never the one that got the happy ending - not of a fairy with the urge to give everyone everything that they desired - but as a friend, and as someone who..correctly.. didn't really want to be alone. She stared in to his eyes..those practically pleading eyes. How could she say no?
"No, I don't.." She muttered quietly. "I don't want to be alone.. I want things to be like they were in Neverland. I want to be carefee and have fun." It was true. Since she'd been welcomed back, she'd lost herself a little..she was conforming and becoming merely one of the others..that wasn't her. She was fun, and silly, and she liked to drink. "Promise you won't make fun of me if I fall over again?"

Emma? WHO'S EMMA? I ONLY SEE YOU He eagerly but calmly awaited her response, planning on being persistent of she said no, but of course without forcing himself upon her. There were lines that even Hook did not cross. She looked at him, silence ensuing, before she finally confirmed that she did not in fact to be alone tonight. Furthermore, she admitted that she wanted things to be like they were in Neverland . . . carefree, and just pure fun. "Then why can't we bloody do that here?" He asked, his voice still calm but determined in his words.
"We managed to find more fun on that accursed island than we do here." For in this small town, there was always one thing after another. It never ended! And you couldn't escape these people. He didn't have his ship to sail away on when he needed to be on the sea. Of course he and Tinkerbell had one very specific thing in common: neither had a loved one here. That was what made all the difference in any place, having that companionship that they both lacked. Which was why he knew that her, more than others, would understand. That, and not to mention the fact that they had quite a bit of fun last time they allowed themselves to be carefree.
She then asked if he promised not to make fun of her if she fell over. He lips curved upward into a seductive smile, his gaze filled with lust and desire for her, as he raised his hook, using the side of it -- the dull part -- to gently caress her cheek. "I'll ensure that doesn't happen," he told her, not entirely joking for he did not plan to put this night to waste should she continue to agree to be with him. "Now that you mention it though, are you certain you don't want a drink before we go?" He could always do with more alcohol, but he wondered if she preferred to be sober, or if she wanted some liquid courage to fully ease any hesitations she had. Then again, the moment they got to the room, he would make sure she wasn't thinking about anything else . . . just like he didn't plan on thinking at all.

Why couldn't they do that here? Why did Storybrooke have to be their downfall? They could be the same here as they could on Neverland! Or..could they? Everything was much more simple there.. Lonely, and dangerous when the shadow was lurking, sure.. but at least there weren't any rules that one had to live by. Not to mention, you could spend forever there and never grow old, and never stop having fun. She supposed that was the appeal of it to the Lost Boys. Pushing thoughts of Neverland aside before she somehow got herself in trouble again, she simply gave Hook a small nod. "I guess we could be like that here.." To an extent. She was a fairy.. she still had rules to live by. Then again..rules were meant to be bent.
"We had more fun there because things were different," she spoke with a quieter tone to her voice. "We were more.. free than we are now. I suppose you are.. but I don't know where I stand anymore. I don't know if I belong with the other fairies, or if I want to be on my own.. It's a very confusing time for me." There she went with the whole 'feelings' thing again. She went quiet, and she glanced down at her feet. "Sometimes I miss the girl I was on Neverland.. It's when I was truly allowed to be myself."
He assured her that she wasn't going to fall, and she looked up in to his eyes once more when she felt his hook touching her cheek. He was trying so desperately to be with her.. and maybe it would help him forget.. It might even help -her- to forget. "Why not." She took a deep breath. "I'll have a drink." Apparently Ruby had been eavesdropping, because there was already a drink on the counter where Tink's plate once had been. Feeling a blush rush to her cheeks, Tink stepped to the counter, and slammed down the small glass of...something. She wasn't sure what it was but it was clear. She winced a little when she felt the alcohol stinging her throat, and then she turned toward the direction of Hook. "To the bed and breakfast then." She mused as she walked out the door.

Emma? WHO'S EMMA? I ONLY SEE YOU She suggested being like that here, which really, was what Hook needed. Perhaps he wanted something else, but what did that matter? False hope was far more torturous than having no hope at all. She went on to say that they had more fun there because things had been different; she suggested that he was free but she had not been. That she was confused for she knew not where she stood now . . . and that she missed being allowed to be who she truly was. He was in no frame of mind to offer complex advice. But he could at least give some input into her words.
"You are allowed to be whomever you wish," he began to tell her. "No one has the right to dictate your life." His defiant words were what prompted him to become a pirate in the first place: deviating from the law and social norms of the kingdom. Rebelling against the crown and those who wished to enforce the law upon them. "We are not obligated to anyone but ourselves." He had learned that the difficult way. He had felt obligated to Emma -- perhaps he still did in some way, but that was what he was trying to forget right now. His obligation had resulted in heartbreak and in his pain stricken state, he vowed never to make that mistake again. He was perceived as a pirate and that was something that he would always remain.
Tinkerbell was no exception to this in the sense that, if she truly wanted to be herself, then what was stopping her now? Judgment from Blue? From others? What did it matter anyway. Everyone here was guilty for something or another. She then agreed to have a drink; one that was already placed out in front of her. Hook stood there, watching her with a slight smirk as she marched up to the table and downed the beverage in one large gulp. "Now that's the Tink I know," he told her with a subtle smirk, following her as she walked out the door. The bed and breakfast obviously was not far from here, but the fresh air and short walk would do them good.
Part of him hoped that Emma saw him with Tinkerbell. And then he quickly pushed out those thoughts. He didn't want to think of Swan tonight. He didn't want to think about anything. He pulled out his flask -- the very flask that had caused them to become ridiculously drunk in Neverland -- and took a large gulp. This would certainly help him forget . . . as would Tinkerbell. He had no doubts about her capabilities to distract him and was looking forward to exploring them.

It was so much easier said than done. For Hook it was probably easier because he was a pirate.. a nomad. He didn't have to answer to anyone. She, however, had to follow Blue's rules or else she'd be shunned yet again, and she couldn't handle losing her wings for a second time. She was nothing, if she wasn't a fairy. It was losing herself completely. Still though, she allowed herself to let him believe that she was right... that she should only be obligated to be herself...and herself was the girl who was stranded on Neverland. The one who could be fun, and silly when she had the chance. "Hook, relax. You've already talked me in to it.." She gave him a small smile. "You don't have to keep convincing me." She didn't want to get in to a debate..she just wanted to relax like the first time she'd met Hook.
Once she slammed down her drink, Hook seemed to be proud saying there was the Tink he knew. That was the Tink he knew.. the one who let loose instead of worrying about her own feelings. Maybe feelings didn't need to be involved...maybe she could just enjoy being with a friend instead of worrying why it always had to be someone else who got their happy ending rather than her. She gave him a smile as she carefully grasped his hook and she led him out the door and off to the b&b. Glancing down at her hand for a moment, grinning, she lifted her gaze and looked up at him once more. "It's still shiny.." She mused, making a reference to their first night knowing each other in Neverland when she had requested to 'touch his hook'.

Emma? WHO'S EMMA? I ONLY SEE YOU She told him that he didn't have to talk her into it; that she was already convinced. Well that was good. Meant she wouldn't change her mind when they got back to the bed and breakfast. She then took his hook in her hand and led him. She met his gaze and spoke of how it was still shiny, which caused a smirk to make its way on his face.
"Aye," he stated, recalling the first time she had said it. Despite how drunk they had gotten, he still remembered bits and pieces of the conversation . . . including his response which had been: you should see my sword. An incredibly cheesy innuendo and this time, he thought he would step it up a little. Besides, he wasn't nearly as inebriated now as he was before. Though he doubted with his state of mind, he would make a happy drunk right now. "And also like before, there are many pleasures that can be had with it," he stated, his words clearly suggestive. Suddenly, the walk to the bed and breakfast felt further than he had initially thought . . . though perhaps part of that was due to the anticipation of getting there. So that he could be with her.

It was finally starting to feel normal again. She completely shoved aside all of the emotions that she had been arguing with, and she allowed herself to have fun. Tink was grateful to Hook that he forced her out of her shell.. to be herself. And now, as they walked, they were joking about something they had spoken of in Neverland...his shiny hook, and the 'pleasures' it could bring.
"Oh yes, I remember," she mused with a playful grin. "The way you plucked my hair tie off was just so simple, I can't help but wonder what else you could just pluck off so quickly." Her own voice was turning slightly more sultry than she had expected it to as she carried on with her suggestive conversation. Suddenly she was actually looking forward to getting to the bed and breakfast. Not so much for what sort of sordid activities would take place bewteen the pirate and the fairy, but because she wanted to continue to feel like this.. Free..and lighthearted..and she wanted Hook to feel it, too.
