Neverland. There was never a dull moment. At any point, a shadow could fly by carrying a new boy to add to Pan's ranks. It was getting to be a little easier, but it still broke Tinkerbell's heart to think of all of those children being taken away from their homes and brought here. Tinkerbell wished that Pan would fall from power but it would never happen. He was the pied piper, as it were.. leading the children to this island to be like him. She had befriended a few of the boys on the island, but one stuck with her the most. Rufio. There was something about his rebellious nature that drew her to him, like a sister to a brother. They were kindred spirits. She could tell, within the last few weeks, that something was going on in his mind, but she couldn't quite figure it out.
It was difficult to get people alone on the island.. especially when the lost boys felt that something was up. Tink finally got a chance to talk to Rufio alone, and she was going to get to the bottom of what he had been so distracted about lately. She hadn't brought it up yet, though. For now, the two of them were just hanging out, quite literally, on a large hammock that the two of them had crafted in their spare time. Tink, was especially partial to sleeping in it when Rufio was out doing the patrolling of the island and..whatever it was that Pan and those boys did. She never really questioned it. "Rufio?" She finally turned to him, after about half an hour of playing toss and catch the coconut, only hitting herself in the face with it once. "Is there something on your mind? You know you can talk to me."

Rufio was indeed deep in thought. A plan had started to take formation, and he knew full well that it was one that could very well cost him his life. But it was worth it. He already had a couple of the lost boys on board, but they were only ones he trusted emphatically. In fact, he had been further encouraged after a conversation with one of thme, boldly speaking about Pan. Rufio was aware that Peter was canniving enough to set that whole thing up just to weed out any potential traitors . . . but Rufio trusted his gut, and it was telling him that these boys were not carrying out some evil ploy. Their feelings were genuine. And that was when what had only seemed like a dream, could become a reality. Rufio was going to overthrow Pan and take control of the island. He was pulled out of his deep thoughts when he heard Tinkerbell say his name. He didn't often venture from the company of the others . . . in fact, that only time he did was when he was with Tinkerbell, if she was not with all of them.
And such moments like this, were indeed a rarity. But he couldn't help but feel protective of the woman. She reminded him of someone he lost many years ago, and had reignited those frateneral instincts that he once had. "You of all people know how untrue that is," he answered, not denying that he did have something on his mind, but also knew that Pan could be listening. That was part of the problem; he had spies everywhere. "Even when we're alone, we may not be." He was aware that he was being ominious, and gave her a short nod, to indicate that there was something, but he felt unsafe to speak about it in the open like this . . . even though they were in a hammock, away from the rest of the group.

Being an adult on an island filled with adolescent boys was sometimes rather tedious. Of course they took care of themselves, but she felt much like a babysitter from time to time when the boys got too close to a cliff when they weren't paying attention, or when they nearly stepped in traps that they made themselves and forgot about them.. Tink was there to warn the children of their impending doom, rather than let them get injured. But with Rufio, it was different. He was a fair bit closer to her age - at least, her physical age - which meant that the two of them had far more in common, and they could talk easier, and get along well. Tinkerbell never had siblings, but she had the other fairies. She didn't lose them.. but rather, they turned her back on her. Rufio, currently, was all she had. He mentioned that she should know what she said wasn't true. He couldn't tell her anything..because as he said..they were never alone.
"Right," she breathed. "Sometimes I almost forget where we are." Life was so miserable there, except for the times she got to just relax and talk with Rufio. Some of the other boys were enjoyable to talk to as well, aside from Pan who hardly ever showed himself to her, and of course the Shadow who was... well, incredibly creepy. "Hey.." She nudged him with her elbow, and smiled. "Cheer up. It's gonna work out, Rufio. I just know it." She knew his problems with Pan. They spoke about it sometimes in hushed tones while everyone else was asleep and the shadow was off.. recruiting.

He wanted to tell her, but freedom here was . . . well, non existant. Not unless they were around totally closed walls. She told him to cheer up, and quite frankly, it was difficult to do so with what he wanted to get done. Yet her optimism was always such a comfort, even if he would never admit it. "Wanna play a game?" He suddenly asked. Rufio wasn't exactly one who was always up for games but this one had purpose. "I'm going to describe something and you have to guess what the word is. When you think you've got it, write it out on the ground." He reached over and picked up a stick for her to take. If anyone was watching or listening . . . well, this would just look like an innocent game. Besides, he was going to build it up a bit. It wouldn't require any movement and would seem fairly casual.
"What is a person who can't hear called?" He first asked her. Deaf. A small build up to his second question. "What's a person who can't see called??" Blind. When she answered it, for it was easy enough, he created the third question that was more central to what he had to tell her. "And what's a person called who can't speak?" For that word was in the term he wanted to express to her: his plan. Mutiny. And he knew that once she guessed it, he could give a non verbal indicator to lead her on the path of realizing, just what it was he was planning.

Tinkerbell knew that Rufio wasn't exactly one for games.. so during the rare times that he offered to play one, Tink knew that it was going to be something sneaky. Sure enough, he told her the rules of the game, and began to ask questions. She spelled them out in the sand accordingly using a stick that she had found on the ground. The last word was Mute. Mute... mute. What could he want to talk about that had to do with silence? But no.. it wasn't silence. It was something else. Mute..Mutiny? Tinkerbell's eyes widened, and she stared at Rufio. Suddenly, fear filled her entirely. This was.. this was huge. This was dangerous. "Did I win?" She asked, trying to hide the tremble in her voice.
Her foot wiped through the sand leaving not a trace of the words spelled out. There were lots of things that she wanted to tell him, that she really couldn't, because of privacy. "I think this game was a brilliant idea. I'd totally be up it, if you wanted to play more." This was the only way that she could think of to tell him that she would stand behind him should he do what he was planning. She even went so far as to writing Yes in the sand. She knew that they could both be killed for this, but.. she didn't want Rufio to be on his own. She had no way of knowing if anyone else knew of this idea yet..but at least he'd have her in his corner. Always.

Rufio slightly squinted as he watched her face carefully, rather than the words she was spelling in the ground. He could see realization cross her features though quickly school her expression, should they be watched right now. She spoke of if she won, and then would be totally up for it. He understood what she meant by these words and gave a short nod. He knew her feelings toward Pan, but he was not going to endanger her by asking her to be a part of this. He was obviously aiming to succeed but should he fail . . . well, he knew it wouldn't end well.
"How about a number game?" He proposed. This supposed game would indicate how many people he already had on board. "I'm thinking of a number from one to ten," he said. "Can you guess it?" He didn't have many right now, but the numbers would build for those he could completely trust. One wrong recruit and the entire plan would fall to pieces. Rufio was a strategist and this was not some fleeting thought. He had considered it, long and hard and he was going to make it happen . . . no matter what the cost was. Pan needed to be overthrown. And Rufio was going to be the one who made it happen.

A number between one and ten. Well, she was hoping the odds were in his favor, so she guessed the highest number first. "Is it ten?" She asked with a quirk of a brow. It seemed silly, the conversation between the two of them.. but only to outsiders. In their minds, using these codes, Tinkerbell and Rufio were having a very in depth conversation about something that could be amazing, and could change their lives forever.. or something that could completely ruin everything, and their lives would be gone. She was a fallen fairy.. she couldn't do much.. but Rufio.. he had so much potential...Not to mention Tink cared about Rufio dearly, and would be crushed if anything were to happen to him. "These games are fun Rufio, but it's my turn! I'm thinking of a duration of time.. what is it?" A year? A month? A week? How long was he waiting for to strike?
There was only so much of this that they could do without being found by Pan or anyone else who could have been listening. She wondered how he'd explained this to the other boys that were on his side. Did he do the same? It would have made sense.. they were boys. They loved playing games. It was likely the only thing that kept them safe on this damned island. She felt nervous..but at the same time, she was also excited. Her eyes lifted to the sky.. the shadow was passing over them. It must have been going off to get another boy. Already? That was the second time this week and it only just started. That likely wasn't a good thing.

She guessed ten and Rufio gave a slight shake of his head. "Think lower," he hinted. "But next time we play this game, my number will get higher. Part of the rules." He was of course just making things up, but this cryptic speech was necessary. She then said that she wanted a turn, and ask for a duration of time. Rufio of course knew what she meant by that and he pausd, feigning thuoght so that it made it appeared more like a game. Before he could give an answer however, he noticed a darkness momentarily cloud them.
He looked up from the hammock and saw the shadow sail by. Gone to gather more children no doubt. Rufio let out a quiet sound of annoyance, refraining from rolling his eyes as he turned his attentions back on the 'game' at hand. "I dunno. Too many to pick from. I'm gonna say maybe a few months, maybe a year. That's a tough one Tinkerbell." He knew it was an ambiguous answer but he had to take his time with this. He couldn't rush it, for he would only get the chance to do this once. He would either succeed, or die trying.

Lower than ten, but the next time they play, it'll be higher. Well, that was promising. More people each time they played the game.. hopefully the numbers would outgrow those that followed Pan with sincere loyalty. "Lower than ten.. a middle ground then! Five?" She figured that he'd likely tell her the number the next time. For now, she was merely hoping that the number was at least substantial to have a good foundation..but maybe it would be better if it was less. That would mean less people to rat Rufio out. One could never know who was a turncoat in Neverland. When they played Tink's game, the question of days, months, years, excreta, Rufio told her there were too many things to choose from, and that this was a hard game to play. She picked up though, that he still hadn't picked a time frame..but it would be awhile.
"I never said I played easy games, Rufio!" She spoke with a grin, trying to act as though she was being playful, when really their conversation was incredibly serious...and dangerous. "You know I'll always play games with you, right? No matter how difficult they are, i'm always up for fun." Her perky tone and general attitude was a rouse. She was trying to tell him that she had his back, even though this was a deadly 'game' they were playing right now. She wanted Rufio to know that she was ready for whatever challenges came at them..and that she'd be by his side the whole way.
