It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Things were going rather well at the moment in regards to Emma and himself. For they were finally a them; a we. They had shared their first date which had gone almost perfectly -- no thanks to the Crocodile. The mere thought of him was enough to dampen the joy he felt in being with Emma. For the man was starting to corrupt him. Killian had already aided him in killing a man and blackmailed him into secrecy. But Killian tried to force it out of his mind. He was trying to be a better man for Emma, not the villainous pirate that he once was.
He knew he would eventually have to tell her, but not right now. Not when she was just starting to admit her feelings for him . . . or perhaps it was a bit more than that, considering who had prompted the question of a date. So instead of dwelling on the darkness that always seemed to shadow his life in some way or another, he focused his mind on thinking where they could spend their second date, since the standard was high considering their first.
He was currently sitting at a booth in Granny's Diner, enjoying a beverage called coffee. It was rather delicious, and Hook found himself enjoying it almost every morning. It was certainly better than some of the other drink and food here -- like bologna! That was truly a traumatizing experience. Emma was busy with Elsa, and Killian did plan on joining them soon enough, but for the time, was merely trying to gather his thoughts and try not to let the Crocodile undo all Killian had achieved in becoming a better person, though Killian would be lying if he said he feared it may be a little too late. Either way, he would not give up on Swan. She was well worth it.

David couldnt say that he trusted Hook. He didn't build the trust was building he may be a pirate but he has proven himself more then once that he wants to change. Still Emma was his daughter and the thought of her out with Hook was enough to make David cringe. He was a pirate at heart and David had met pirates on his adventures he wasn't an expert but he saw how they were with woman using them one right after the other to fill their sexual desires and then letting them go like dust in the wind.
David wouldn't let that happen he was going to go straight up to Hook and have a talk with him, As he saw Hook enter grannies he followed in and took a seat across from him in the booth. There seemed to be something on his mind David stayed quietly until he couldn't any longer and looked at Hook. "we need to talk about your intentions with my daughter Hook" David looked at him and saw the troubling look in his eyes.
" You ok?" David wasn't sure what it was but he had known hook for awhile now and he had never seen a look such as that on his face. He seemed different somehow. David wasn't sure what was going on but it wasnt his concern. He was there simply to talk about his daughter part of david felt he should just keep them away from each other but Emma was an adult she would make her own choices.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook was pulled out of his pensive state when a familiar face seated himself right across Hook's booth seat. He raised his eyes to meet David's a slight smile growing on the pirate's lips. "Sheriff," he greeted. He would be lying if he said he was surprised by David's words. He knew this had been coming, despite their short conversations regarding Emma -- once in Neverland, and then when the ice wall had just been formed. And, now they were alone with no distractions to divert the conversation.
David asked Hook if he was alright and Hook wasn't about to go into detail about what plagued his mind. Instead, he kept the focus on David's purpose of being here. "Aye," he answered simply but confidently. "Just enjoying this rather pleasurable beverage from this world." Coffee. An odd but delicious drink. "Would you care for one?" He asked, wondering if the prince would like one before they got started on the conversation. Hook then reached into his jacket pocket to reveal his flask.
"I like to add a special ingredient. Gives it a bit of a kick," he added smiling. That secret ingredient of course being rum. If anyone would have told him that he would be sitting with Prince James talking about his intentions with his daughter . . . Hook would have thought them insane. But alas, here they were. And quite honestly, Hook cared too much for Emma to be entirely dismissive of her father, for he knew the two had grown close this past little while. And he wanted to give Emma as much confidence as he could that she had made the right choice in being with him.

David watched Hook he seemed distracted by something but wouldn't say what so David decided that it was best he stick to his reasoning for being there and looked at him. " No thanks" He said when asked if he wanted coffee and watched as he put rum in his shaking his head. and taking the cup moving it away from him. He wanted hook to hear this while sober. " What exactly are your intentions with my daughter Hook." He said realizing that the tone was a little harsh but warrented
He looked around it was a good thing people were starting to leave because if David didnt like the answer that he was given he was likely to arrest himself for assault. As He watched hook he could tell that something was definitely off. David watched him for a moment before putting the drink back in front of him. Maybe the pirate just needed to clam himself.
As he watched he thought about Emma. He and snow had gone through so much to find her that he didn't want to she her have her heartbroken and to lose her again. He was her father and though they were the same age David simply wanted to protect Emma.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION David declined his offer for a drink, and even moved his own out of the reformed pirate's reach. He made no attempt to reclaim it and instead, listened to David's words, questioning Hook's intentions with Emma. "Nothing but honorable, mate," Hook stated a bit cheekily. He knew that he would have to give a more serious response. For while he never cared to deal with fathers . . . Emma was different. He knew that she had grown close to her parents and didn't want to do anything that would create tension between the relations. David moved the cup back near him and Hook truly appreciated the gesture. Though he owed the man an honest, sober response and didn't want him to think that his answer was prompted by consuming alcohol first thing in the morning. So Hook silently moved the cup away, a non verbal gesture to indicate to the prince, that his answer would be in no way compromised. And a more serious answer he did have to give. "Do you remember when your daughter and I went to the past, and you and I sat around a campfire." Emma and him had returned and explained who they had been . . . all that had happened.
"I told you that I would go to the ends of he world, and time for her." And David's words had been rather encouraging, saying that her parents would come around. Granted, he hadn't known at the time that he was one of the parents . . . but Hook wanted to bring David's mind back to that conversation, wishing him to understand that everything he felt for Emma was genuine. Hook loved her. And while he could not say the words now that he hadn't even told her, he could still suggest them. "I meant what I said," he added, forcing himself to open up and be as honest as he could.
He knew he would be facing disapproval from her parents -- considering the circumstances in which they met and well, several incidents that happened afterwards. "Whoever I was before, your daughter has changed me for the better." Words he could speak with the utmost sincerity, for they were completely true. He strove to be a better man, for Emma. To be worthy of her affections and in doing so, had abandoned all the qualities that made him a ruthless pirate, replacing them with that made him his real self. The actual man he once was: Killian, rather than Hook.
