It's Always Nice
TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION
Hook never could have understood the true feelings of fatherhood, until he had held his little baby girl in his arms for the first time. It had been perhaps the only time that tears of joy had ever formed in the pirate's eyes. They had named her Mirela, after his mother -- a name that his brother certainly approved of. And she was just so beautiful. When Milah was discharged from the hospital, they went to the small flat that Killian had arranged for them -- as Granny's inn wasn't exactly an appropriate place for a child. Hook knew that there was a great deal to work out still with Emma, and Milah and all of that . . . but right now, his priority was his newborn daughter.
Hook had invited David to come over to meet Mirela. Milah was resting in the other room and Killian was holding his daughter in his arms, gently rocking her for he couldn't stop staring at her. He wanted to memorize every detail of her perfect face. Her tiny fingers and toes. Everything about her was utter perfection. A light knock at the door pulled him from the trance that his daughter seemed to frequently pull her in ever since she had entered this world. Killian had even removed his hook and replaced it with a glove, taking no chances with her. Keeping her securely in his arms, he rose to his feet and made his way to the door. His lacking hand made it impossible to open it, not wanting to compromise his hold on Mirela in any way. "It's open," he said softly on the other side, having kept the door unlocked for this reason.
