Rufio had a bad feeling about this. Ever since he saw all the Neverland dwellers come off the pirate's ship . . . something didn't sit well in the former lost boy. How would Pan just, let them leave? Surely he had put up more of a fight or . . . this was what he had wanted all along. Rufio didn't know what it was; paranoia perhaps. He just, had a chill that he couldn't shake. He had already talked to Tinkeberll, but now he wanted to gather more information from someone that everyone in this town looked too. Well, one of the people. Rufio knew of David from what others said, and considering he was Sheriff, well, it was better to ask him rather than the woman of the child who was taken. Rufio's time in Storybrooke during the curse made him more comfortable going ot a known figure rather than someone who had come not all too long ago. In addition to being distrusting and paranoid, Rufio was also extremely cautious. None of the lost boys knew that he had survived. He was reported dead before thrown aboard the ship in his unconscious state. It was best to keep it that way before he could further assess the situation. Despite his limited years outside Neverland, it wasn't enough to eliminate that feeling of always being watched and heard. Privacy was not always a luxury in Pan's world and he was still growing accustomed to the freedom of this place. However, that didn't mean he wasn't going to take the necessary precautons. He was standing against the wall of the Sheriff's station, anyone who had left from it didn't seem to notice him . . . not that there were that many people who had. He was merely waiting for David to emerge. To further camoflauge himself, he had his hood up, and his hands in his pocket. To any on looker, he supposed this could be a very shady sight of him leaining against the wall for a rather long period of time . . . but this was necessary. When he finally saw the co Sheriff walk out toward his car, Rufio glanced every which way before following him from behind stopping when David did. Standing behind the man, Rufio spoke. "I need to talk to you," he said in a low voice. Yes; shady indeed.

After returning from Neverland the group had a lot of cleaning up and sorting through to do. Their first task was obviously trying to find something for the lost boys, but in Davids case it was an even more pressing matter, as he had to hope Gold really could take care of his dream shade poisoning. Now after having gotten the antidote, he could go back to work, but slowly. It felt a bit weird to know that he should technically be dead, even weirder to know that others had died before him, yet he had gotten lucky in more than one way. He owed a few people about this. Despite all of this, the work never stopped. Things had happened in his absence, things he had to take care about. The same went for his daughter, but he still tried to keep everything away from her. She had enough problems, with what happened in Neverland, her ex, her son, she had enough to deal with. It was only fair if he worked overtime to keep at least that off of her back. That was why he left the station late that day. He had gone through files, had done paperwork for his daughter, everything to help his beloved girl, but eventually the events even caught up with him and he really needed sleep.
As he walked to the car to drive back home, though, he had a weird feeling. Something was not as it should be. David jumped as origin of that feeling was revealed through the voice of someone standing behind him. He whipped around, but the person seemed to have no intention of attacking him, so David kept his arms lowered, but tried to see who the man was. He didn’t know him, but couldn’t fight the feeling of having seen him in passing before.
“Yes, of course. What about?” It was not only his job, but his desire to help people here. And with that not only the new people, but also this man. So if he needed to talk to him, he would listen with open ears and an open heart.

He had startled the man, but wasn't going to apologize for it. David just politely asked what he wanted to talk to him about. Rufio kept his hands in his pocket, briefly looking around them before settling his gaze back on the co Sheriff. "Not here," he told him. "Got somewhere private we can go?" He refrained from rolling his eyes at how one may consider his words to be rather . . . suspicious.
"Relax. You can search me if you want." So that he would know he didn't have a weapon and this wasn't some lame ass assassination attempt. If he wanted to kill him . . . well, Rufio liked to think that he could have easily done so with how he creeped up on David. But at the same time, he knew the man's fighting skills were legendary and wasn't exactly formidable. "Besides, you got your gun. Keep it," he added on, as if he had some authority to grant Charming permission to keep his gun. It was these entitled feelings of leadership that had caused him to become intolerant of Pan's rule. Rufio didn't do well with authority.

He knew shady people in this town, downright dangerous people, but this kid was just suspicious right now, not dangerous. If he was, he was badly misjudging the situation – wouldn’t be the first time he did. He was only human after all and humans made mistakes, even if they were called ‘Prince Charming’. Still had he something dangerous, he would not have offered for him to search him. David as convinced the boy was unarmed and so he would not attack him. He did have the gun, yet he hoped he would not need it. The aftermath of Pan was worse enough to tackle. David pointed to the station behind them.
“Private enough?” He’d bring him to the changing rooms, which had no surveillance cameras, for privacy reasons exactly. David went ahead then. He unlocked the station again, then walked straight to the changing rooms. Since they were inside, they didn’t even have windows, so nobody could observe them or listen in, at least not without magic and David had no weapon against magic, unlike his daughter. “What did you need to talk about? And why in private?” Why the secrecy? Was he scared of someone and needed help? Maybe. Whatever it was, it was literally Davids job to listen.

Rufio wordlessly followed, taking oe final look both ways before entering in after the co-Sheriff. He didn't ask where he was leading them, nor did he care so long as it was private. And indeed it was. Rufio looked around, before he was satisfied that no one else was in here. Being on Neverland for so long, being watched for every single move and word . . . well, it made him constantly on edge. Especially now knowing that those very people who watched him, were in Storybrooke. When he was assured, he took his hands out of his pockets and pulled down his hood. He looked at the man when he asked what he wanted to talk about.
"Neverland," he told him. May as well cut to the chase. "I gotta know what happened there. What the hell happened to Pan?" He knew it may help to give some backstory, that it may explain his curiosity but . . . Rufio just wanted to know answers right away. He was used to leading, ir at least being second, and he didn't take well to dealing with higher authorities, even if he was the one approaching the authority figure.

David was surprised at the young mans interest in Pan. How… wait, what if he had been there? He obviously knew that in this Pan was the villain, not Hook, not many did. That meant he had knowledge about it. He knew Pan. He knew that he was the problem, not the pirate. NOW it really made sense how he hid. He knew Pan and his lost boys, maybe even was one once upon a time. God knew how old the kid really was then. David nodded, signaling his willingness to give the man the information.
“I am guessing where he is, is the most important information you want right now, before the detailed recount?” David tried to read him, but still continued anyway. He had no reason to withhold the information from him, though he would ask questions in return, less pressing questions. “We managed to trap him in Pandoras box. That means he’s safely contained in his sons shop. He can’t hurt anybody from where he is, or get out.”

[break] Fortunately, the Sheriff was getting straight to the point and Rufio didn't have to ask a million questions to get the answers he wanted. David was telling him exactly what Rufio needed to know. Though his explanation raised more questions than answered. Pan was in a box? Really? Rufio had a hard time believing that. [break][break] "You trapped him in a box?" Rufio questioned sarcastically, rhetorically. Rufio couldn't imagine it was that easy. Despite who all went to get him. Evil Queens, damned Pirate, the Savior, and of course Charming and Snow. Oh, and the Dark One. But still, there was a feeling that Rufio couldn't shake. Since the curse was broken, he remembered what it was like to be watched by Pan. [break][break] [attr="class","sexy_quote"]"Rise up and take the power back" In Neverland, their every move was practically watched. But here, it had been liberating. Yet as soon as the Lost Boys returned, that feeling of being watched returned. And it put Rufio on the edge. He had avoided the Lost Boys, for they could not yet be trusted. And the 'heroes' brought them all here.[break][break] "How?" Because maybe if Rufio learned the how, it would be somewhat more believable. "Don't think it's over," he added on as a warning. "Pan always finds a way. So unless he's dead, none of us are safe." His tone wasn't overly dramatic, but it was serious. He had spent way too much time with him to know that a small box could stop him.
