She explained that she hadn't been human at the time, and then further explained that she'd been a breed of dog. It caused him to slightly smirk at the thought. He was well aware that the curse turned animals into humans -- fortunately it didn't work the other way around. So it wasn't exactly a surprise, but it was still a bit amusing all the same. "Guess that makes sense of why you have so many siblings." He couldn't imagine a woman caring for that many people; but animals were different. Not that he had much experience with them . . . other than hunting and killing them for food. "Well looks like you're walking is alright. Just gotta work on your sense of smell to get back home," he further teased. She then told him that she had never said she wouldn't do it, and told him that she believed him to be bluffing. "Just cause I'm not stripping down in front of you, doesn't mean I don't have a tattoo," he told her with a slightly raised eyebrow.
"And sorry to disappoint you but I don't plan on doing that any time soon either," he added on sarcastically. Well, the apology was sarcastic. The latter part of his statement wasn't. She then asked about his own family and well, it wasn't a subject he so easily discussed. He had lost his first family, and then he supposed in some ways, a few on Neverland were like his family . . . but he lost them as well. "I don't have one," he told her, his voice unemotional. "Don't get all sappy on me about that either," he added on, not wanting any sympathy for his lacking family. In attempt to distract the conversation, he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a granola bar, tossing it to her. "You better eat something. Don't think there's much food in here," he added on. Nothing that wasn't rotten by now anyway.

She supposed she should have seen it coming..the comment about finding her way home using her sense of smell. She was once a dog though..shouldn't she be able to do that better? "I'm pretty sure you're only teasing me, but you have a pretty good point. I should probably seriously work on that.. It might be a handy tool in the future." She mused matter-of-factly. It was probably something that one of her parents could teach her, if her siblings were too busy to do it. For now, she'd have to rely on her other senses. Maybe she'd try to sniff out home once the storm cleared.
At his comment about not stripping down to show her any tattoos, and never planning on doing so, Penny rolled her eyes. "Oh please, there might be other girls might be dying to get a glimpse of you shirtless, but i'm pretty sure I'll survive. I'll just take your word for it that you have them." Sure, he was attractive, but Penny didn't feel that flutter of butterflies one was supposed to feel when they were in love when she was with Devon. She did, however, find herself looking at him like a sort of brother figure, that she wanted to impress. So far, that wasn't really happening. Maybe she wasn't quite as cool as she hoped she was.
He said he didn't have a family, and Penny was quiet. He expressed that he didn't want her getting 'sappy', so she obliged. "Sucks." She stated simply. Devon tossed her a granola bar. Come to think of it, she was pretty hungry. Catching it easily she gave him a small smile. "Thanks." She opened the granola bar, and split it in half, offering part of it to him. "You should eat too."
