.:Physical Appearance:.
Syrena is portrayed as a young adult, average height and slim, but not skinny. Her skin can be described white as snow only a little more tanned since she does speed time in the open. She has long dark brown hair which is normally tied into a small pony tail in the back with a part of her hair. Her eyes are brown which melt into a chocolate color. Although her height may not be impressive, her body build is surprisingly very lean with hidden muscle. Many would think she was delicate and soft soul but looks can be deceiving.
Her normal attire you could say is a dress... It is a pale dirt tan color which seems to be rags but the truth is when she was captured and left to die this was the only clothing she had on. This may not be the most modest but until she finds a new outfit this is her best. Her beauty is undeniable but it can be hidden when she becomes a mermaid. Although she hates to be violent, and wouldn't hurt a fly, she still has to accept the fact she will never change. In mermaid form her tail is of course scaly but has a silky look to it, shimmering colors of gold.

.:Personality:.
Syrena is a strong young adult, and in her past it was her pride which got her into trouble. Since she believes against the way of her fellow sirens/mermaids at Whitecap Bay, she has gathered a new trait, kindness and sympathy. She thinks the humans have a place on the world as much as she does. Although she knows temptation and greed can take them over so she tries to stay a distance away from human society. At first Syrena could be mistaken as a generally shy person, but this is her way of telling people that she is different. Instead of using her angelic voice to attract humans, she will simply approach them with her bold nature, it is only when someone else approaches her that she becomes shy. Many people mistaken her shyness for a cute quality which is something she will never understand.
On top of her sweet side, Syrena is very fierce when it comes to fighting or sticking up for herself. Since she is threatened a lot, she has learned self defense and how to make good of a bad situation. Although somewhere deep inside of her is a playful nature. A little kid who wants to just laugh and dance around like a human. This side of her only comes out to the people who she truly believes are true to who they are and cares for. To sum it up, behind her mask is a goofy character.
Syrena has learned having fun comes with a price, a price which she is normally not willing to pay. She replaces laughing with compassion , caring for those who feel lost or just need a person or mermaid, to talk to. Even though she can be a reserved person, she does like to make friends and share her love for adventure equally as anyone else.

.:History:.
Early life
Not much is known about Syrena's early life in Whitecap Bay. Syrena wasn't a typical mermaid; while the other mermaids at Whitecap Bay are quite dangerous, she was rather timid.
Quest for the Fountain of Youth
, Capture
During the quest for the Fountain of Youth, a certain pirate's crew had a mission to lure a mermaid for their tears, as a mermaid's tear was needed for the ritual of the Fountain. The mermaid hunt would lead to a fierce battle between mermaids and pirates. After the bay's remote lighthouse exploded, while the other mermaids flee, Syrena saved the missionary Philip Swift from being crushed by falling debris, pulling his legs out from under him. However, as she swam away, she became trapped under a piece of debris herself.
Though he was dazed, Philip noticed the mermaid's tail flipping around. He pulled the debris out of the way and, reaching his sword, drove the blade through her tail. She rose out of the water and stared at Philip, their eyes meeting. Seeing the fear in her eyes, Philip pulled his sword from her tail. Something passed between them; an understanding, kindred spirits. Suddenly a net came down over the mermaid, and she was held by the captain's zombie quartermaster. Now the pirates have caught a live mermaid. Philip had guilt, as he couldn't deny his part in her capture. Syrena hissed fiercely as the captain ordered his crew to make for a protected cove.
Jungle Search
the captain and his crew began searching for the Fountain of Youth through a jungle-infested island. As mermaids' tears would not keep for long, she had to be brought along so that a tear could be harvested fresh; she was carried around in a large water tank carried by four members of the captain's crew.
During the journey, Syrena fell deeply in love with Philip, who she thought was different than the other crewmen, being a protector. It was Philip who gave the mermaid her name of "Syrena", in order to make the pirates see her as a person and not a creature. As a man of God, he was the only crewmember who treated her with any dignity or respect.
Jungle Pools
Shortly after arriving into the Jungle Pools, the captain tried to force Syrena to cry by showing the remains of other mermaids, telling her of how they were left to die a slow, painful death. However, Syrena would not yield, prompting the captain and his crew to figure out a way to torture Syrena for the tear. Philip spoke out against the captain, showing his care for Syrena. Realizing that the two fancied each other, the captain threatened to have Philip killed unless Syrena brought forth a tear. As Scrum held a vial to Syrena's eye, Syrena simply stared with only sadness. As a result, the captain tossed a knife to the Quartermaster, who seemingly slit Philip's throat. As Philip's body was dumped in a nearby ravine, Syrena was left at the pools.
Syrena lay tied to the stakes, half immersed in the water, until a miracle happened: Philip returned to Syrena and untied her, setting her free. Amazed in wonder at Philip rescuing her, Syrene let loose a tear of joy. Philip told her she was different from the others, just as Syrena had said about him earlier. The Captain's crew suddenly appeared and managed to get a tear from Syrena. Finally having the tear he needed, the Captain ordered Syrena to be rebound back in the Jungle Pools, leaving her to die.
After escaping from the Fountain of Youth, Philip went to save her and she was able to escape. She managed to find the two Chalices of Cartagena in the waters of the the Fountain and gave them to Jack Sparrow. She told him to not let her tear go to waste. She then went to find the injured Philip and he asked for her forgiveness. Bringing him underwater, Syrena kissed Philip to heal him and give him the ability to breathe underwater. They swam off together through the pools to freedom. Her further fate with Philip is unknown.| ~ • ~ | Member Info | ~ • ~ |
