| Syrena was is boring mood today. Since she Philip had disappeared everything seemed to have lost it's meaning. Even the ocean water didn't have its usual crystal waters. Sighing she took a quick look around the water, not a sound could be heard. The critters which swam along the bottom on the ocean were asleep by now, but not Syrena she felt wide awake. Trying to get her attitude in check she let a slight smile drift across her face and swam to the surface.
Making sure nobody was to be seen, she heaved herself up onto a large rock which was near by, as much as she wished to walk on land, being a mermaid prevented her from doing so. Once she was perched on the rock, her skin was soaked in pale moonlight, her scales reflecting the rays lighting up the cove. The moon never ceased to amaze her weary eyes. Smiling she reached down letting the cool water reach her hand, it was refreshing yet much colder than the warm night breeze which she was feeling. Staying a bit longer wouldn't hurt.
It was rare for her to sing freely, but she had to admit, it had been way too long. Opening up her mouth she began to sing, Hoist the Colors. Singing came naturally to her, as it did to all mermaids, except most used it to lure humans in. At Whitecap Bay that's all the other mermaids did, wait for a new victim then would ponch and kill their prey. Her voice rang throughout the cove, it was a smooth sound which if made into an object it would feel like silk. Suddenly she was alerted by the noises heard near the forest which border lined the cove. Narrowing her green eyes she began to search for signs of human life. It was not everyday this happened. Feeling her heart pounding with excitement she called out, "Why are you hiding?" Most people would have at once jumped to conclusion that someone was sneaking up on them, but Syrena was patient, she knew whoever was out there had a purpose for what they were doing.
All she hoped for was that her voice had not lead some dumb minded pirate to the cove, in which case she would simply do nothing. She had no power over who her song attrak ed, but since she had been singing quite softly only a person with a good ear or was gullible would have made it this far.

Tag: @sweettooth Note: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook wasn't too impressed with a couple of his crewmen right now. "It's comin' from over 'ere!" One of them exclaimed as he made his way through the thick woods toward the sound. "Don't be so daft! It's comin' from this side!" Another crewman was about to go in the opposite direction when Hook grabbed his arm. "Both of you are imbeciles. It's a bloody mermaid luring you to her sound." They both just stared at their captain, though could not resist the sweet melody of her voice.
They looked at each other and raced forward to where they suddenly seemed to realize the sound was originating from. Hook rolled his eyes and let out an annoyed sound. He had a few more men behind him who were awaiting their orders, ones who did not seem to be so taken by the voice . . . just as Hook wasn't. Killian had lost far too many men on this bloody island and he wasn't going to lose two more. He followed after them, the few men with him following from behind. When the two frantic crew men stepped into the clearing, they saw a mermaid perched on a rock. They seemed numbed to all other instincts as they just stared at her in awe.
Suddenly, Hook came up from behind and hit them both on the heads, one with the dulled curve of his hook, the other with the hilt of his sword. Both sailors fell to the ground unconscious. "Take them back to the ship," he ordered the rest of his men. They seemed hesitant to leave their captain, but were even more reluctant to disobey their orders. As they dragged the two men off, Hook sheathed his sword and look at the mermaid. "If you were expecting to see us on our ship, heading blindly toward the rocks, well then sorry to have disappointed you, love," he said sarcastically. He was hardly a fan of mermaids. And since there weren't really any pirates in the area except for him and his crew . . . well, it made them prime targets for the mermaids song.

| Syrena jumped at the sound of a low voice. She had not expected a quick reply. Looking over to see a meer pirate by the cove she narrowed her eyes. It had been a bloody pirate lured in by her song all along. Honestly, she wasn't too fond people who were brought here by her voice.
Listening to the pirate speak she looked him dead in the eyes, her green eyes burning out of anger. Although that's all she allowed to show her anger, the rest of her was calm yet fierce. "Pirate, let me tell you something. My intentions were not to lure in an afternoon meal, but to sing for the joy of it. I am not the type of mermaid you think you know." Her tone of voice was firm, yet not harsh. It was annoying to think about luring in a pirate, for they were some of the worst types of humans.
"If you do not mind, allow me to ask you this, why on Earth would I eat a fleshy human. Since I am part human don't you think that would be quite rash." Ah yes, she could never get bored when using a proper speech. When speaking with friends, or sea creatures, she had a playful attitude which was yearning for adventure. Even now she still had a spark of excitement. It wasn't everyday she spoke with a pirate who wasn't too fond of mermaids.
Shifting a little, so she could face the pirate fully, she noticed that he was indeed young, or at least close to her own age. He seemed handsome enough to get almost any girl. Syrena knew better than to fall for looks though, she believed that somewhere out there was a far better person than a pirate. Allowing a smile on her face she snickered a little before saying, "Well aren't you quite the ladies man." Of course this was meant as a joke since flirting wasn't her thing.

Tag: @sweettooth Note: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook slightly raised an eyebrow when she revealed her intentions, and that they did not involve luring a pirate but rather, singing for the pure joy of it. That was fairly, uncommon. Most mermaids he'd encountered had a strong aversion to pirates and so sang with the intention of luring them to their deaths. While Hook knew that mermaids were not to be trusted . . . he also couldn't deny that this one appeared to be telling the truth. "If that's the case mermaid, then may I suggest singing to your own kind. For the only things your voice will entice here are pirates and lost boys. Neither of which I am certain you would like to encounter." Bloody lost boys. They were a pain in the arse.
She then asked why she would eat a fleshy human when she herself was part human. "I never suggested such a thing," he told her. "I have no interest in inquiring about your diet under the water, but sustenance is not the primary reason you would see us dead." Killian couldn't deny the threat that pirates had posed on mermaids, just as mermaids had posed one on them. In this particular Captain's case, he did not seek out the merfolk. His mission was far too important to be distracted by other beings and creatures . . . unless they had some sort of ability to help him in his mission for vengeance. It was her next words that caused a smirk to form on his features, as she called him a ladies man, her own expression looking less . . . serious.
"Well I don't need to sing to lure in a woman. My devilishly handsome good looks and undeniable charm does the trick," he said with playful arrogance and gave a slight wink following his words. She herself was beautiful, but that was of course to be expected. Mermaids all held an exquisite beauty about them that further tempted sailors to their kind . . . and this particular mermaid was certainly no exception to the general norm of her kind. Yet, there was something different about her and -- dare Hook think -- intriguing. "You say you aren't like most other mermaids, so tell me, what kind are you?" His feelings of hostility toward her race was slowly subsiding, though he still remained on guard just in case. "Apart from one who clearly has good intuition," he said a bit jokingly, in reference to her remark of him being a ladies' man.

| Syrena's eyes darkened as he suggested to sing to her own kind. She had no friends among any of her fellow mermaids. All felt hostility towards her since she was different, believing that humans were more than just a snack. Clearing her throat which was choking down tears, her eyes glazed over with tears she stared at him straight in the eyes. Trying to keep her pride which was leaking out of her, she said, " I do not need the company of others." Syrena had left out the part where she had been hurt far too many times to trust others. As for the luring in of lost boys and pirates she didn't care. She didn't think they would be this close to the cove, or dumb enough to be near it. Of all people they should know it was dangerous.
Narrowing her eyes she let out a small chuckle before glaring at him. Her expression was serious and she was a little hurt, too many humans had thought of mermaids so lowly. " A meer pirate could never agree to what I'm telling you. We are not all evil. It may be true that only a few are proven good, but mermaids don't kill for the sport." The truth was hard to accept for Syrena as well, the fact that most of her kind would do anything to be satisfied. Honestly she was not proud of who she was.
Rolling her eyes, a small smile crept onto her face. This guy was something else, confident, yet strange. Sarcastically she told him, " Oh yes, and I'm sure that's why so many mermaids are at this cove mooning over you." It was nice to finally bring out her playful side once again, it had been far too long. Although normally she was interested in most pirates she had to say this one was oddly kind to Syrena.
Surprised that he had asked her a question regarding herself she let out a small sigh. Why she wasn't like most mermaids she didn't know. Since she was a child Syrena was never able to kill, or even harm a human. She never had thought deeply of what she might be. Syrena guessed she was a to herself type of mermaid, isolated, but perhaps not everyone felt that way. "Well I suppose I am the type of mermaid which cares for humans. Even if I'm not a fan of your race I know that people have feelings, have someone they love to take care of." Syrena herself had already lost her one true love so thus she protected those with a meaning to their life. They were the ones who were worth keeping alive and she wanted to ensure this. As he pointed out her intuition she smirked. Mimicking the pirate she said, " Well I am devilishly brilliant mate."
Feeling a little curios in him, she tilted her head asking, " Now that I've shared my secrets, allow me to ask you a simple question, who are you Mr-" Taking a quick glance down to his hand, raising an eyebrow, "Hook?"
