Another night, another stop at some port where the men of the ship lined up at the local tavern, making fools of themselves in Goldie’s opinion. But she couldn’t help looking across at Killian, his smile being the most warmly lit feature in this place. She held in a breath, it wasn’t right for her to be feeling …what…. Feelings? What was she feeling? She didn’t even know. All she knew was that the moments she got to spend with him on the ship were beginning to make her feel like maybe happy endings existed after all. But of course, there were a handful of girls vying for his attention. Goldie rolled her eyes slightly, thinking that perhaps they would be able to laugh it off later with rum and stories under the stars. But as she lift her cold ale to her lips, she noticed that he had seemingly taken an interest in one of the girls.
Goldie lift her eyebrow as she watched the interaction, the girls hand touching his arm, his hand, his ahh okay. So that was her approach. Classy.
Goldie turned her back to the situation, something in her stomach just knotting and clawing at her, telling her that she didn’t like what was happening. Okay, all she needed to do was tell him that she wasn’t sure what was going on, but maybe she was developing..something. No, don’t do that, that’s stupid. Goldie brought the glass up to her lips, finishing off the cold beverage before setting it down roughly on the counter. “ Okay..” she said, giving herself a nod of encouragement before she turned around. “ Killia-“ she started, but cut herself short, noticing that they were already leaving the tavern. He’d chosen the girl in the bar whose name he probably didn’t know. Goldie stood there, her mouth agape, feeling as though she had just been sucker punched. Why did this affect her so much?
Goldie looked around the tavern, trying to figure out if there was anyone who she could distract herself with for the evening. She had never really been with anyone aside from the Huntsman, and tonight she didn’t want to be with anyone aside from Killian. But he had just established the types of woman he wanted to be with tonight. It didn’t take long, which Goldie wasn’t sure was a reflection of her own looks, how desperate the man was, or how drunk he may be. At any rate, in less than no time at all she was taking him back to the ship as well. She came aboard the ship, watching Killian long enough to catch his eye. But it lasted momentarily, as she decided to tear her gaze away from him, pressing her lips against those of the stranger she’d brought on board with her.
