One two three they come runnin' back to meAdriana was suffering from boredom. Her brother was becoming all cozy with his little fish girl, and Adriana was growing increasingly bored with the normal playthings she'd find lurking around The Rabbit Hole in the middle of the night. She convinced Zale to go out with her for the evening, and currently the two of them were walking back toward the Storybrooke town square after being in the more seedy part of the town. The two of them were walking hand-in-hand, and they - as usual - looked as though they were lovers rather than brother and sister. In the back of Adriana's mind, she wondered exactly how Cordelia felt about that.. but then, she honestly didn't care. As they walked, Adriana saw something that peaked her interest. A girl.. a pretty girl, that she'd never seen anymore. She had an air about her of familiarity, even though she was sure she'd never met her.
"Well look what we have here, Zale.. It's a curious little kitty. I've always wanted a pet." She was speaking loud enough for Ashleigh to hear, even though at the moment she was addressing her twin brother.
"Don't you know that it isn't safe to walk around at night? A pretty little thing like you could get yourself in a lot of trouble." A wickedly sweet smile formed on Adriana's lips as she released Zale's hand so that he could move freely. |

Ashleigh he always been the curious type. She had no idea if it was something that was instilled in her DNA because of the fact that mermaids themselves were adventurers in the sea, or if she genuinely was the type of person who wanted to wander about. Either way, it was caused her many a sleepless night. She had been tossing and turning in bed, never really getting used to the fact that she had to sleep without the security of the water flowing all around her. A blanket was definitely never going to be enough. Ash eventually gave in to the fact that she was not going to be getting any sleep tonight, and kicked the covers off. She tossed a quick pair of sweats on, and her raggedy converses before zipping up her hoodie. She had always been one who never really minded the cold, probably due to the fact that the ocean itself was always freezing. The cold from a simple change in weather never seemed to bother her in this land.
She headed out of Granny's inn, and peered in the dining area. It was filled with a bunch of townsfolk that she didn't really want to deal with tonight. Ash never realized how much she actually craved and wished someone from Neverland had also been cursed here. Anyone other than Hook, anyway. Maybe then spending however long in this place wouldn't seem like a life time.
She sighed loudly to herself before reluctantly turning on her heel beginning to walk down the lonely street. Only a few street lamps guiding her way towards the town square, the rest of the town basically engulfed in a sort of quiet darkness. That was, besides the sound of two pairs of shuffling feet. A sound that appeared to be growing closer towards Ashleigh. Her eyes narrowed and darted in the direction of the sound of a voice at the word 'pet'. She had never been found of the word. Probably because pirates and humans all the like had always been wanting to claim a mermaid as their very own pet back on Neverland.
She recognized the faces of the two as they became clearer to her. They were he weird siblings who were oddly close. No one that Ashleigh had ever really thought about or spoke to. "I'm not a stranger to trouble, I can handle myself." She shrugged before she began walking again, this time walking past the two siblings, making sure that she bumped shoulders and walked between them.
