Things were chaotic. But not necessarily for Rufio personally; just in the town. Someone was bringing people back from the dead for the purpose of creating havok and, it was damn well working. But again, it didn't concern Rufio. There was only one person, one presence that could be brought which would actually affect him.[break][break]
He knew it would not be his family. Those returning were heroes, villains, and everything in between. Rufio's concern lay with the middle possibility: a villain. One that Rufio had been close to, only to betray. One who thought he was dead, which only made Rufio more determined to secure this secret. Peter Pan.[break][break]
Rufio was not about to lower his guard. He seldom did, but now more than ever he refused to. He was currently walking through the abandoned woods -- for it was late at night and no one else was about. He was merely walking, needing to clear his head and take a break from all the people in the small town who were trying to deal with all the returns of others. [break][break]
It had taken Rufio time to feel like he wasn't being watched. In Neverland, everyones every move was often known by Pan. Rufio had to be extremely cautious of his actions -- even prior to his plot of mutiny. But in Storybrooke, while that paranoia hadn't fully gone, it had certainly diminished. The only time it returned was when that crew of misfits saved Henry Mills and unknowingly brought Pan back. [break][break]
But right now, Rufio felt it. He had that familiar feeling of eyes watching him, and he couldn't shake it off. His hood was over his head, his hands in the pocket of his jacket. He walked forward, not looking back but it got to a point where he could no longer ignore that nagging feeling that was consuming him. He felt watched. Was it truly just paranoia? Was there some legitimacy to it? [break][break]
There was only one way to find out. Rufio abruptly stopped walking, trees and darkness surrounding him. Taking a deep breath, keeping his stance and expression completely stoic, he finally turned around to see if there was indeed anyone watching him; if there was anyone following him . . . and he was going to confront it now.
