Alright! Elsa was too afraid to find out the truth so it was all up to Anna! She’d show her big sister! There had to be some other explanation! Yes..That diary entry had looked...Really terrible. But Anna was certain it only seemed fearful and prejudiced. Mother had clearly written it in a hurry when she was distressed! She was only worried about her eldest daughter! What loving parent wouldn’t be?! Anna was sure if she went to this Misthaven place Pappy had mentioned, everything would become clear!
Kristoff was currently buying Anna some time so she could secure passage on some vessel. Of course..having been isolated in a castle her entire life until recently..There were many things about Arendelle that were still mysterious. She knew next to nothing about ships..Which ones would be good for her purposes? What she wanted was the fastest vessel in all the land! Because Elsa..She was such a worrier! Really, Anna could handle herself! Elsa should know better by now! After all..Anna had survived blood thirsty wolves who had wanted to tear her to pieces and lick her bones clean, a gigantic temperamental snowman crafted by her own sister to keep her out, and a sociopathic prince (her ex-fiance as it turned out) intent on killing both Elsa and Anna and ruling Arendelle in their stead! Really..She wasn’t new to this adventure stuff!
But in any case, Elsa was a worrier. So it really would be best if Anna could pop by Misthaven and then rush back home posthaste! So yes...Which one..
“Maybe this one is the fastest,” she murmured to herself, pointing to a dinky little boat. Small things tended to be faster right? But then again.. “Maybe it’s that one,” she mumbled, pointing to a slightly bigger ship.
“Or it could be that one or that one or..Goodness! I had no idea there were so many boats in Arendelle!” However would she figure out which one was the quickest?! Well..She supposed the only way to find out was to ask! So she’d do just that!
Anna took off running, a smile tugging at her lips. Even in her state of urgency, she couldn’t help but appreciate the feel of the sun on her face and the wind in her hair. It was wonderful, being outdoors! She didn’t think she could ever take such a thing for granted not after all her years of being trapped inside, the paintings her only companions. Elsa refused to so much as creak open the door so Anna could get a glimpse of her estranged sister. And Anna would rarely drag more than a “Go away, Anna” out of her sister. And that was on a good day..Normally Elsa wouldn’t say anything at all. Anna was a ghost..Perhaps seen but never heard, never interacted with. And as for her parents..
They were too busy with Elsa to spend much time with their youngest daughter. Now Anna knew the truth. They were trying to help Elsa with her magic. Having no powers...Elsa took precedence. But Anna was sure they weren’t afraid of Elsa! They’d gone about it the wrong way keeping both daughters hidden away from the world and separate..But they really did want what was best for them! They were trying to teach Elsa control! They just..didn’t know how.
Her smile fading at the painful memories of years of neglect, Anna shook her head as though she could she could rattle the melancholy straight out of her noggin. There was no time for gloomy thoughts today! She was a girl on a mission!
She stopped in front of what unbeknownst to her was the Jolly Rogger. “Hello!” she hollered at the top of her lungs. “My name is Anna; and, I’m looking for the fastest ship in all of Arendelle! You see, it’s quite important I get to Misthaven right away! Do you know which ship is the quickest?!”
