Traveling from village to village, port to port, city to city.. it was a wonderful life. Not putting down roots was just part of a Gypsy's lifestyle, so sleeping in one place one night and being gone by dawn the next day didn't bother Esmerelda at all. Currently she and several other of her Romani bretheren were in a tavern, performing, dancing, and doing magic tricks to keep the restless crowds of travelers, bandits, and pirates entertained. Esmerelda, during her dance, climbed on top of a table and using small symbols that were attached to her thumb and index finger, she made her own music.
She hadn't been paying much attention, until her eyes happened to drift through the room and land on a pirate dressed in all black, with striking blue eyes, and a hook for a hand. Esmerelda was always looking for the outcasts, for those who were different..and this man was one of those people. She leaped off of the table for a moment, and danced toward him, deciding to put on a little show, just for the man with a hook for a hand.

a woman AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU DESERVES MY FULL AND PROMPT ATTENTION Hook and his crew had made port for the night, and did what they often did when they reached land: find the nearest tavern. The particular one they had found was a rather busy one, which was most excellent. The busier, the better. He had made his entrance, greeting others and ordering drinks all around. He often would find the nearest game of dice, or start his own more commonly, however there was another form of entertainment in this tavern that was demanding the attention of most others. Dancers, performers. And they seemed to be quite good for many people would watch them amidst the conversation. The loud music combined with the loud chatter made this the perfect tavern to come across here.
Engaging himself in socializing, Killian ordered his never ending rounds of rum. He raised his mug in a cheer before bringing it to his lips and downing half of it at once. Among the chatting, Hook found his gaze wandering to the dancers. No. Correction: dancer. For one in particular began to approach him, and quite honestly, she was indeed the most beautiful among them all. Hook knew exactly what type of people these were based on their style of music, clothing, and overall appearance. They were gypsies. But Hook tended not to discriminate. When he saw a beautiful woman, he reacted. Though in this case, she was close enough to him that he didn't even have to seek her out.
His eyes locked onto her as she began to dance before him. His gaze suddenly filled with lust, slowly and piercingly trailing over every inch of her body as he watched her intently. He did not concern himself as to whether this would make a woman feel uncomfortable, for his mind was racing with all he wanted to do with her . . . and it started by getting her alone. He also couldn't look away, even if he wanted to. For there was something very mesmerizing about it; it wasn't just her incredible beauty, but also each sensual movement she made in her form of dance. It was clear that the Captain was captivated, as he just stared at her, the noise in the rest of the tavern starting to fade into the background.

The pirate whom Esmerelda was dancing for, seemed to lock his eyes on her quicker than usual. There were always women flocking to pirates.. that's how Esmerelda knew them. What woman wouldn't want to sail the seas with a handsome brute like a pirate? Esmerelda was the exception. She already had a life of a nomad, traveling from one place to another.. Although, their ways of making coin were quite different. Gypsies had to earn everything they got. Although the stigma between the two groups were quite the same..all they were to onlookers were criminals.
Esmerelda pulled a veil from her hip, and danced around Hook's seat in a circle, lightly gliding the veil over his shoulders as she passed them. At one point, she lowered her lips to his ear, and she whispered the words: "Im Emerelda," finally, the scarf landed on his lap, and she gave him a wink before twirling and dancing back toward the rest of her group. She did give him one more glance, trying to find a way to say that she had an interest in him, without saying it at all. Esmerelda wasn't normally one for a 'one night stand' sort of thing, but sometimes two ships would pass in the night.. And there was something about Hook that made her heart skip, and her stomach flutter like a butterfly.

a woman AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU DESERVES MY FULL AND PROMPT ATTENTION Hook kept his eyes locked on her every move. He turned his head to follow her as she moved around his chair, and with the exception of when she was directly behind him, he ensured not to miss a single moment of gazing upon her in all her beauty.
She then whispered in his ear, revealing her name to him. Part of him wanted to just grab hold of her and pull her onto his lap -- and perhaps he would have, had she not been so quick to dance away, leaving him with a mere scarf. He decided right then and there that he wanted her tonight. And was ready to be as persistent as he needed to be to have her. Besides, he was a Pirate Captain; he was used to getting what he wanted.
She was now across the room, back with her crew of gypsies. Hook did not move from his seated position on the chair; instead, he gripped the scarf in his hand, looking at it for a moment before raising his gaze to rest on her. "Oye, Gypsy!" He called from across the room. "Esmerelda," he clarified, as many heads turned to look. He didn't care if he was embarrassing her or not . . . even when he spoke his next words once he had her attention.
"How much for a private dance, love?" He asked her, an intensely lustful look in his eyes as he watched her hungrily. Immediately following his words, he raised the scarf to his lips and nose, taking in a deep breath of her enticing scent while his expression remained the same, staring right at her. He cared not if this was the gypsy way or not; he was making his intentions very clear. Besides, making it public like this was also staking a claim to her. Just daring any other man to try to have her when it was Killian who was making his desire for her very obvious.

She and the others turned their heads when they heard the word 'Gypsy' called out.. but then when her name was mentioned, several of her people looked at her. She was being called out. Well, it was definitely a way to make coin, and she did have her eye on him. A smile formed on her lips as she watched him inhale her scent from the scarf. "You couldn't afford me!" She called out to him playfully from the other side of the room. Her eyes darted quickly to her close friend Clopin, who looked as though he were ready to beat the pirate in to obvlivion. Esmerleda lightly touched his shoulder, and smiled. "It'll be alright. I've got this under control." she told him before sauntering off toward the pirate.
"Pirate," she spoke to him with a small nod. "I decided to give you a dance for free... since you so kindly called me out by name." I was a horrible excuse, but she very much was intrigued by him. He didn't look like the every day run of the mill pirate.. not to mention, that hook.. It was everything she needed to believe that he was an outcast, and for this reason, she took an fast shining to him. "Would you like the dance here? Or in private?"

a woman AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU DESERVES MY FULL AND PROMPT ATTENTION He smirked when he saw the way others reacted to his . . . proposition. He rather enjoyed provoking others, especially when he saw the protective nature surrounding her. She playfully shot back the words of how he couldn't afford her. He would soon put any doubts to rest, for what else did a pirate spend his loot on but drink, and women. He would soon put any doubts she had at ease. The gypsy then made her way back to him, and Hook continued to watch her every move.
She was a rather dainty little thing, and Killian found himself more eager to explore just how flexible she truly was. She then spoke of deciding to give him a dance without charge, since he called her out by name. "Then I'll have to be sure to make it worth your while," he told her suggestively, since he wouldn't be doing that with coin. Her next question caused the smirk to remain in place as she asked whether he wanted her dance in private or public. He instantly knew which he preferred and rose to stand on his feet so that it was fairly clear to all else which he preferred as well.
"Private," he answered, just so there wasn't any doubt. He then eyed the other gypsies carefully watching. His eyes rested on one in particular who had seemed rather angered earlier by Killian's suggestive remarks. "Don't wait up for us, mate," he told him with a devious gleam in his eye, before turning to Esmerelda and extending his arm. "Shall we?" He questioned, making it quite obvious if only to provoke the others . . . and make his intentions clear to her as well.

She knew that later she'd be getting a stern talking to by Clopin...which definitely wasn't fair. It's not like he hadn't gone off with a pretty girl from a tavern once in awhile.. But of course, things were different. Because she was the woman, and the man was a pirate. She didn't like labels.. everyone should be treated equally. "You had better be," she spoke with a teasing grin. Of course he had said he wanted the dance in private.. she wasn't expecting anything different. "Alright then..lead the way."
She took him by the arm, and then turned her head to look at Clopin, seeing him glaring daggers. She would have said something, but Hook beat her to it. It was probably a bad idea.. Clopin didn't seem happy, but Esmerelda gave him a gaze as if to say 'calm down...' and she turned her attention back to Hook while the two of them walked off to somewhere far more private. She didn't normally do this.. She'd normally stick to her group. Obviously, there were men chasing her..that was the normal, but she didn't want them. It took something special..
Something unique.

a woman AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU DESERVES MY FULL AND PROMPT ATTENTION She told him that he had better make it worth her while and he merely smirked, knowing that he would. Both with payment and with . . . well, experience. She took his arm and urged him to lead the way, and he easily did so, outside the tavern.
He could have gone to one of the rooms upstairs, however knowing that her bodyguards were downstairs and would most likely interrupt them . . . he had to make a wiser decision. So he went with taking her to his ship, which conveniently was not far from here. Women were often impressed with the Jolly Roger. He would have to find out if she was the exception and if so, then, he would find something else for her to be impressed by.
"Tell me, gypsy have you ever been on a ship before?" He knew that gypsies tended to be more land people, so he inquired as to whether she had traveled over the water. "If not, then tonight is your lucky night." They were not much further now. "For I am no ordinary pirate. I am Captain of the Jolly Roger," be boasted, proud of the reputation both he and the ship had gained.
"More commonly know as Hook," he added, with an arrogant smile. "Perhaps you've heard of me?" His words were meant to impress her and to also give her an idea of where they were going right now. A place where her posse would not so easily find them -- or so he hoped.

She felt slightly guilty for leaving her friends to worry, but they knew that she could take care of herself. Esmerelda walked with the pirate, thinking that he was just going to take her to a private room, or maybe in a quiet spot outside.. but instead, he started walking toward the docks, asking if she'd ever been on a ship before. "Once, actually," she mused. "We had to travel on a ship once to get away from Notre Dame...but only that once." She preferred the land. She knew how to survive on the land.. she wasn't certain how to do so on a ship. "However, I still count myself lucky..I seem to have good taste in who I dance for, Captain." She gave him a small smile. He seemed rather proud of his ship.. as they reached it, she could see why. It was quite a bit nicer than the one she had been on before.
He had introduced himself as a Captain named Hook.. she had actually heard that name, before. She'd been around enough to hear whispers and rumors. "Hook.. It does sound familiar. I've heard it whispered by strangers, but nothing too disconcerting. Should I worry?" She asked with a small incline of her head. Not that she was afraid.. if he tried to hurt her, she had ways of getting out of trouble. However, she was curious to see what he'd have to say about his own reputation.

a woman AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU DESERVES MY FULL AND PROMPT ATTENTION She began to tell him that she had been on a ship once before, to get away from Notre Dame. That must have been her homeland then. He'd heard of the place, but had never been. "You're a long way from home, love," he told her, his voice lacking concern for her, but more said in a . . . almost taunting way. "Believe me when I say that no ship compares to that of the Jolly Roger." Made of enchanted wood, a ship that could withstand just about anything. He was obviously very proud of it and never minimized its magnificence . . . which came out in his boasts about it.
Speaking of which, she then told him that she considered herself lucky and that she had good taste in who she danced for. That caused an arrogant smile to spread on his lips. "Aye, that you do lass," he agreed cockily. "Apart from your alluring beauty, you are also wise, to have taken me up no my offer." Of a private dance, for as he said before, he would make it worth her while. Though he was fairly certain that they would move beyond the dancing part -- little did he know that it was perhaps one sided in this assumption.
Her telling him that she had heard his name before only made him smile once more, this time a bit of a devious one playing on his lips. Should she worry? "What exactly have you heard about me?" He asked, intrigued by hearing what rumors were whispered in her travels. He of course wanted his reputation to be a grand one. "Now where is the fun if I were to answer your question so easily?" He teased, enjoying the taunting and leaving it up to her imagination. "I'll let you be the judge of that tonight," he told her, now reaching his ship. He dismissed the man guarding it and motioned for her to step on board.
