.:Physical Appearance:.
She's a blonde bombshell with a tough exterior. She has fair skin that comes from her mother, and a strong physical presence that has been inherited by her father. Her sense of style is simple enough. She's usually seen in jeans, and plain shirts - sometimes sweaters - and a leather jacket. Although she's technically a princess, one would be hard pressed to get her to wear a cheesy, frilly dress.
.:Height:.
5'7
.:Portrayed by:.
Jennifer Morrison
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:.
Although she has a hard candy shell, beneath it all lies a worn little girl who had felt abandoned and unloved for most of her life. It takes a lot to get Emma to trust people. Once the trust is lost, it's nearly impossible to regain. Once you have her friendship, she will stand by your side through thick and thin. She had a tough life ever since she could remember, and this has hardened her to the point where she built up a wall to not let many people in.
.:Strengths:.
~Being a pillar of strength for those that she cares about. She's always willing to put anyone's troubles on her own shoulders.
~Strategy. Emma doesn't like to jump in to anything without a plan.
~Loyalty. Once you earn Emma's trust, she will remain loyal to you until the end..or at least until you give her a reason to break away.
.:Weaknesses:.
~Diplomacy. Sometimes she has a hard time finding just the right things to say.
~Her loved ones, above anything. If anything were to happen to her family, or the friends she made in Storybrooke, it wouldn't break her, but it would definitely turn her in to something she wouldn't want to be.
~Herself. It sounds corny, but it's the truth. She has a tendency to be her own worst enemy.
~Magic. Even though she has magic running through her, Emma still doesn't know exactly how to handle it.

.:History:.
Once upon a time there was a little princess. She was so loved, even while she was still growing in her mother's tummy. Unfortunately, the princess who was named Emma, didn't have much time to spend with her parents once she was born because an Evil Queen put a curse on the Enchanted Forest. To save Emma, her parents placed her in a magical wardrobe built by a man named Geppetto, who also placed his young son in to the wardrobe for his salvation, as well.
The fate of Emma's family was to be placed in a town in a world without magic and frozen in time known as Storybrook, Maine where the Evil Queen - Regina - would reign over the citizens of the Enchanted forest. Along with the curse, everyone lost their memories of their former lives.
Emma had to grow up in the system, and she was switched from home to home. Everyone rejected her.. including a family who abandoned her when she was only three years old because they had a child of their own. When she was eleven, she lived in a group home in Boston, waiting to be taken by a set of loving parents, and given a warm, comfortable home..but alas, she watched as her peers exited the home one by one, leaving her behind. This was the time that Emma had decided to run away, and never look back.
In Minnesota is where she met Lily, a girl around Emma's age who saved her from being caught stealing a box of poptarts. The two of them promptly hit it off, and Lily explaindthat she is a child of the streets as well. Thinking that they were kindred spirits, Emma teamd up with Lily, and they ran away to a house on a lake that was supposedly vacant for the season. This is where the two of them decided to 'live.' Emma noticed a star on Lily's wrist.. a birthmark, Lily explained. She drew one on Emma as well so they could both be special. However, much to Emma's surprise, a man entered the door. Thinking it was someone to take Lily back to a home, Emma jumped to her defense.. it was then found out that the man was Lily's father, and the girl had been lying to the princess the entire time. Angry, and hurt, Emma ran away again, and wiped the star off of her wrist.
During her days with Lily, Emma had a video camera which chronicled her days with her first real friend. She kept that camera, even when her heart was broken. When Emma ended up in her new foster home, one of the other children found it and started to mess with the camera, and recorded them. Emma shouted for the child to give the camera back, and her foster mother snatched it away.
Fast forward six years when our Princess Emma is seventeen.. this is when she met her future love, Neal. It was love at first grand theft auto as they attempted to steal the same car. A whirlwind criminal romance ala Bonnie and Clyde - without the shoot out thing -
ensued for quite some time..and for the first time since Lily, she found someone she could truly care about.. although this was love. Emma would soon discover though, that sometimes a heart can be put in the wrong hands.
Neal had admitted to Emma, that he had been stealing watches, and that he was wanted for it. He wanted to run away to Canada - alone - but Emma insisted on going with him, for she had fallen in love. The two of them were supposed to meet at a designated spot when Neal went to find someone to buy the watches so they could travel, but much to Emma's heartache, she was caught by the police. Neal had tipped them off, and she was sent to a minimum security prison for an eleven month sentence. It was here, that she found out that she was pregnant.
Hard times were not over for the now eighteen year old Emma. Knowing she couldn't give her child a life he deserved, she chose to give him up for adoption.. So when her baby boy was born, even though she struggled with the decision, she allowed the adoption to continue. She couldn't give her little boy a life.. not as a former criminal with no parental guidance of her own.
Ten years later, the Princess is now a bounty hunter. On her twenty-eighth birthday, she captured a fugitive named Ryan, and went to celebrate her birthday back at her apartment - alone - with a cupcake and a single candle. A knock at the door would change her life forever. The boy at the door was named Henry. He claimed to be her son that she had given up for adoption. Of course, she panicked, and then she promised the boy that she'd call the police to take him home. He then retaliated with a promise of his own to say the woman kidnapped him. When Emma spoke of a superpower to be able to detect lies, Henry begs the woman to go with him to Storybrooke, Maine. She agrees to take him back, but only to deliver him to his 'real' parents.
On the way back to Maine, Henry spun a tale of a curse that washed over Storybrooke. How all of the people of his home town are characters from fairy tales. Obviously, Emma was skeptical about all of this. Once they reached the little town, Henry refused to tell her where he lived, and so, she gets it from Henry's therapist - which, Henry was sure was Jiminy Cricket.
When she reached Henry's home, his adopted mother invited her in for apple cider. Emma assured his adopted mother - Regina, Mayor of Storybrooke - that she was not going to be a problem or in the picture at all. Emma told Regina about Henry's idea of the town being under some sort of curse, and Regina spoke of how she had no idea he had thought such things. When Emma left the house, she glanced at the passenger seat to notice Henry left his book. When she looked back up, there was a wolf standing in the middle of the road. She swerved to miss it, crashed, and went unconscious. When she woke up, she was in a jail cell.
When she was released by the sheriff, Graham, she discovered that Henry ran off again. She then went to question his teacher, Mary Margaret. The teacher tells her of Henry's favorite spot to hide, and so she finds him. Henry still pleads to Emma that what he says is true, and even though she knew Regina wanted her to have nothing to do with Henry, she still took Henry's advice and stayed at an inn for a few days.
A series of events occurred very quickly. Henry initiated Operation Cobra, which was a plot to get rid of the curse. According to the boy, she was the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Even though she went along with it, she still got his files from his therapist, who gave them up willingly. This was all a set up by Regina, and soon Graham arrested her. Mary Margaret bailed her out, and from that point she found a saw and cut down Regina's cherry tree, as a warning. Regina had her evicted from the inn, but soon showed her true colors again when she allowed Henry to over hear Emma saying he was troubled, and crazy. Heart broken, her son ran off yet again and Emma realized that Regina was doing this intentionally. Mary Margaret told Emma she needed to stay.. to protect Henry.. and Emma listened. Instead of running away, Emma burst in to the therapists office, and told Henry she was merely trying to throw Regina off of them breaking the curse. Faith was restored in the little boy.
What unfolded next, was a John Doe case. Henry was certain that this comatose John Doe was Prince Charming, and that Mary Margaret was Snow White. It would have made sense to someone on the outside. Mary Margaret seemed to be falling for the John Doe patient since she stayed by his side while he was in the hospital. One day, he even grabbed her hand. However, trouble started when he vanished and his wife Kathryn showed up saying his name was David Nolan. Although this put a damper in the relationship with David and Mary Margaret, there was another relationship blooming. This one was with the sheriff, Graham, and Emma - who was now his deputy.
Emma was concerned about his relationship with Regina, even though he assured her that it was entirely platonic, on his part. She tried to refuse him, but then he kissed her. This was the spark that started to make Emma feel again..and it would also be Graham's undoing. When Graham cut ties with Regina, Regina blamed Emma for it, and the two fo them started to fight until the sheriff broke it up. Graham and Emma shared a kiss once more, and his last words to her were 'thank you for helping me remember'. She didn't know what that meant, but before he could explain, he died - of a heart attack.
Although Regina tried to fire Emma as deputy to make Sidney - her right hand man - the new sheriff, Mr Gold - the town pawn shop owner and tax collector - helped win her the position as sheriff by getting the townspeople to elect her. Of course this put a target on her back with Regina.
Eventually, Emma discovered it was all true. Every bit of it, and the hardest part to take in was the fact that it was her who was meant to break the curse. It was not an easy task, but once it was finally broken, and everyone in Storybrook seemed to be coming to a happy ending, but there was no such thing. Even though everyone now remembered who they were in their past life, there didn't seem to be an ending anywhere in sight.
Emma had gone through a lot of trialing things over her time in Storybrook.. Gaining and losing friends, being chased by giants, and evil witches.. even losing her son to Peter Pan and having to go to Neverland with Captain Hook, Regina, and a few other Storybrooke townsfolk to find him. She'd fallen in love several times.. Neal, her past love and Henry's father - who turned out to be named Baelfire and actually Rumplestilstkin's son.. August, who was Pinnochio, the same boy that she was placed in the wardrobe with when she was young.. And finally Captain Hook, who she was rather skeptical of for quite some time. But it was only just the beginning.
Peter Pan followed them away from Neverland, and started another curse of his own. Unfortunately, the outcome of this was that everyone would be sent back to the Enchanted forest and Storybrooke would be no more.. this meant that Emma had to take Henry away since he was born in the world without magic. And so, Regina altered their memories, making it so they had no memeory of anyone or anything that happened in Storybrooke, and soon Emma was off with Henry to New York for a fresh start.
It seemed as though it was all over - but it was not. A year later, she recieved a knock at her door by Hook -- someone whom she didn't recognize. He told her that her family was in trouble - but she remembered having no family. In fact, she was rather happy in New York, not remembering..she was even dating a guy named Walsh for several months.
However, she ended up remembering who she was once she learned once more that she had magic. She had no choice but to believe it all when her former beau turned out to be a flying monkey.. because now she and her loved ones whom she forgot - were now dealing with someone far more worse than what Regina had been. This was Zelena, The Wicked Witch of the West, and Regina's sister.
During the Wicked Witch's reign, as Emma fought along side the others, one of their own was lost. Neal perished at her hands, and Emma, was obviously, devastated. However, she had grown close with Hook, and he seemed to be one of the only people - aside from Henry, and her parents, keeping her sane in the whole ordeal. It was thought, that once the witch was defeated, that things would be better.. but again..they were not.
After a jaunt in the past, trying to bring order back to Storybrooke, Hook and Emma freed a prisoner and brought them to the present time. To Storybrooke. It turned out that this was Maid Marion, wife of Robin Hood - who had fallen in love with Regina - and she, with him. This of course made Regina upset, and as much as Emma tried to keep a friendship with her - Regina seemed to not want it returned. Everyone else was filled with happiness, though..even her parents, who gave birth to a son. Prince Neal. Even Emma was happy, starting a relationship with Captain Killian Hook. Not everyone could ever stay happy, however..
Something else came with them through the portal back to the present. A woman, who had ability to form ice out of her hands named Elsa. She was looking for her sister, Anna, and Emma has now decided to try at all costs to help this strange woman find who she's looking for.. Even at the risk of being taken by an evil Snow Queen who seems to be obsessed with being a family with her, and Elsa. It turned out, the Snow Queen had been not only Elsa's aunt, but a foster mother of Emma's when she was young.
There will be more, as the story unfolds...

[/blockquote]Regina wouldn't talk to her, that was obvious, but Emma needed to get some sort of hold on her magic, and as weird as it was, Regina was the only person who she trusted to help her with it. So, she did the only thing she could think of... talked to Regina's answering machine. For the fourth or fifth time that day.
"Hey, Regina it's me.. uh, again. I just really feel like we need to talk. You've already blatantly told me how you feel about us having a conversation and you've said all you need to say, but I haven't. So, here it goes. I need your help, and..you're really one of the only people I know who can understand what i'm going through with this whole magic thing. Anyway.. if you decide to talk to me, you'll know where to find me."
Breathing a sigh, she pocketed her phone once hanging up, and she looked around her apartment - One she really needed to move out of eventually.. It was getting a little crowded, - then she grabbed her jacket and went out the door. What she needed to do was clear her head, and what a better way to do that then to go for a walk to get some fresh air.. and maybe go to Granny's for a slice of pie and a cup of coffee.
