I'd go to the end OF THE WORLD FOR HER OR TIME Things had been . . . odd, to say the very least. Hook and Emma were sucked back into the past -- all thanks to Zelena's blasted portal -- and since their return, they had managed to disrupt the singular most important event in all their lives: the meeting of Snow and David. They had formed somewhat of a plan, one that so far was going well.
They'd informed The Dark One of who they were -- and much to their relief, he believed them and was willing to help. Then, they had managed to convince Snow to sneak into the castle where David would be to retrieve a special jewel. Really, it was just a way to get them to meet and speed up their process of falling in love. Perhaps the strangest part of that was Hook seeing himself when he was more . . . pirate like.
Seeing the man he had been compared to the one he was now. While he had never forgotten, it was a little unsettling to see himself and the way he acted. . . especially in front of Emma. Hell, not just in front of her -- with her. The way he had acted in the tavern and then how he brought her back to his ship and . . . well, there was a reason Killian had punched himself. But what could he do now. They had bigger things to worry about which led them to where they were currently traveling to: the castle. There would be a ball there and with any luck, the set up would work.
For the time being, they were resting, setting up camp for a little while before they continued their journey through the woods to their destination. Killian had managed to catch a rabbit which they were currently cooking -- since they would have to keep up their energy. He was sitting in front of the fire between them, thinking over recent events . . . of them being here. Of the -- how had he phrased it -- catastrophic consequences that could arise if they were to disrupt even the smallest event.
Pulling himself out of his thoughts, he noticed that the rabbit was done and pulled the stick that he had skewered it on from the fire. He then extended it toward Emma. "Not quite what you're accustomed to with your cheeseburgers and french fries back in your world, but it'll have to do for now," he said, somewhat teasingly as he waited for her to take it.

Emma was far too distracted for her own good. She'd never felt so...helpless. She managed to completely wreck the meeting of her parents.. it wasn't how things were supposed to happen. Now they had to completely alter everything to fix what they had messed up, and Emma had no idea how to do that. She stared at the crackling of the flames of the fire in front of her as she sat on the ground with her knees pulled to her chest. There was a faint smell of meat cooking from the rabbit that Hook had killed and cooked, but Emma was feeling too distant to talk. There was so much silence that it had been deafening. The silence was interrupted by Hook telling her that she had to eat the rabbit, even though it wasn't what she was used to. She quirked a brow, eyeing it for a moment before looking back to the fire. "No thanks.." She sighed. "Not hungry."
She knew that he was likely going to argue with her about keeping her energy up and everything, but she didn't want to argue right now. She had too much to think about. Right now, Zelena was in the world without magic causing complete chaos.. meanwhile, they were inadvertently doing the same thing here. She laid down on the forest floor, and turn to face away from him. "Better get some rest.. we have to fix our mistakes tomorrow.." She didn't want to talk to him. She was feeling helpless, and she was embarassed about it. She never wanted anyone to see this side of her. It was bad enough that he'd seen her break down several times before...he didn't need to see it again.

I'd go to the end OF THE WORLD FOR HER OR TIME She rejected his rabbit and spoke of how she was not hungry. Furthermore, she made it clear that she was in no mood for conversation as she lay on the ground, told him they needed their rest, and turned away from him. He was quite used to that at this point. But that wouldn't stop him from trying. Besides, it was why he had jumped into the portal after she had gotten sucked in.
How could he have just left her here? At least they were together -- even if she acted as she often loathed his company, he had a feeling she was coming around . . . at least a little. He quietly let out a heavy breath as he walked over to her, crouching in front of her so that he could see her face as he slightly cocked his head to the side, skewered rabbit still in hand -- marinated with a touch of rum of course.
"Aye, we will fix our mistakes tomorrow. But in order to do that, you need to be useful, Swan, and starving yourself isn't helping anyone." They still had to make it to the castle and it would all need to be done on foot since transportation wasn't exactly at their convenience. "Everything is going according to plan thus far," he reminded her. "Your mother will retrieve the ring and your parents will fall in love." He was confident in that because, well, he had faith in their plan. He had faith in her.
"In the meantime, you need to eat to keep your strength up," he stated once again, still holding out the meat to her. A slight smirk and playful smile then formed on his lips. "Unless you want me to carry you the rest of the way," he added, wondering if the thought of him carrying her was enough incentive to do what she could to prevent it -- which in this case, was eating.

Hook didn't have to follow her.. but he did. If he hadn't she'd be stuck there alone, and without any sort of help, so she was thankful. But would she really say that? No, because her pride wouldn't let her. Not to mention she was cranky and stubborn. She breathed a sigh when he crouched down beside her, holding the rabbit. Her stomach growled, despite the fact that she wanted to pretend she really wasn't hungry, and it made her even angrier that her bodily functions were giving her secrets away. She gazed up at him as he spoke of how things would work out just fine. That her mother would find the ring, her parents would fall in love, and things would be right again. She couldn't tell him he was wrong..her parents were one another's true love..they were destined to be together, no matter what.
"Fine.." She muttered, sitting up. "I'll eat some of the rabbit.." She sniffed a piece of the meat that she had plucked off and she quirked a brow again. "Is that rum?" She shook her head and took a bite of the chunk of rabbit she had gotten. It actually didn't taste as bad as she would have thought.. but right now, anything probably sounded delicious. "Thanks, Hook.. for following me." She finally decided that she could no longer deny that without him she couldn't have gotten this far. "I just can't stop thinking about Zelena...all of the terrible things she's done to everyone..." Her heart ached, and it was threatening to make her bitter.. but how could she be? She couldn't in Hooks presence. It just wasn't possible no matter how much she fought it. "Now we're back here.. I thought our days of dealing with evil Regina were over."

I'd go to the end OF THE WORLD FOR HER OR TIME She finally saw reason, and decided to succumb to her state of hunger and eat the rabbit. Hook gave a slight smile, knowing he couldn't appear to be too satisfied -- even if he was pleased that he'd managed to convince her. She sat up and he watched her take a piece, sniffing it and instantly detecting the rum. "Aye," he confirmed. "Adds some flavor," he told her with a wink. Otherwise, rabbit could be quite dry. Rum made everything better. He watched her eat the piece, continuing to hold the skewer out so that she could take more, aware of the possibility that she may not ask for it. She then thanked him for following her, and he raised an eyebrow at that before smiling.
"That can't have been easy to say," he teased, well aware of her stubbornness. "You don't have to thank me for that, Swan," he continued in a slightly softer, less playful voice. He did it because . . . because he loved her. Because he would go to the end of the world -- or time -- for her. She then voiced her concern over Zelena, of all the horrible things she had done. "Zelena's dead. She can't hurt anyone else. Take it as victory, Swan, and don't let her ruin more than she already has." He knew what it felt like to dwell and dwell, and it chewed at your soul and heart until you were left with nothing but anger and hate.
She then expressed how she believed her days of dealing with evil Regina were over. "If all goes well, we won't have to deal with her for much longer," he said, offering some hope that they could avoid her. "We will get out of here," he told her confidently, looking into her eyes so that she knew he hadn't the slightest doubt about that. "We will reunite your parents, and we will return to Storybrooke, leaving everything as it should be." As it was meant to be. "I promise you," he vowed. He believed in her, and he would not stop until they fixed this, and until she was home again, with her family.

Emma hadn't been surprised that he'd flavor food he had caught with rum.. what did surprise her was how well it worked. But then she supposed that he had far more experience with this type of thing than she did. When was the last time she ever caught and cooked a squirrel? Never. So she had no room to judge..especially when it tasted so decent. While she ate he told her that what she had said to him must have been hard to say..and that she didn't need to thank him. She grinned a little and shook her head. "It wasn't that hard to say, actually. And yeah.. I do need to thank you..even if you don't think I do." There weren't that many people who would jump through portals with her. The only people who would do that were her family.. people who..well..loved her.
He tried to comfort her with words of how Zelena was dead and couldn't harm them anymore.. but even though she was dead, she could still do so much. If something happened that things fell through in the past.. it could cause horrible repercussions in the future. He then told her that her parents would be okay. They would be together in the end, and things would turn out as they should. "I would have never expected you to be such an optimist, Hook.." she spoke in a teasing tone. It felt a little relaxing to be playful..she was thankful for that, too. Hook kept her morale up, and that was important. "You've got a point though.. Those two have this sickening tendency to find each other and get a happy ending every time." She didn't mean for it to come out bitter..but she knew it did, at least a little. So as to not bring attention to it, she didn't correct herself..she simply took another bite of the meat.

I'd go to the end OF HE WORLD FOR HER OR TIME She assured him that a thanks was in order, and he didn't say anything regarding the need for gratitude. While Hook didn't exactly project himself as a modest individual, he truly believed she didn't have to thank him. Nor did he make a tease about a reward. Not when she was already feeling so stressed by recent events and the repercussions they could have in the future that they had come from. She then spoke of how she had never expected him to be such an optimist.
"Perhaps I've spent too much time in Storybrooke," he told her with a slight smile, for most there -- mainly her parents -- tended to be optimistic. Overly optimistic at that. He was at least glad that she was relaxing enough to offer a tease, indicating that perhaps their conversation was helping take her mind off of things.
He didn't fail to notice the tone of her next words, which prompted him to respond with his own. "Yours will come, Swan," he assured her, wondering if she had doubt in that. "It's something destined for your entire family, it would seem." Her parents. Henry. Her. All of them. She may not have found it in New York, but that didn't mean she wouldn't. And Hook so desperately hoped that she would find her happy ending . . . with him. For he knew his would only be found with her. Though he had his doubts that he himself was destined for such a thing, for as Regina had put, villains don't get happy endings.
All he could do was hope. He of course couldn't voice these things, and the risk of it coming out was dangerous with the looming silence and the way he knew he was looking at her; soft longing. Breaking out of his gaze, he looked down, trying to find something to distract himself with. It was so damn difficult with her sitting here. "Here," he said, offering a flask to her, a bit of a smirk playing on his lips. "Don't worry love, it's only water," he assured her.
