Emma wanted everything to be perfect. She didn't know why but she was definitely in the Christmas spirit this year. She had decorated her apartment...well..her parents' apartment..where she had been staying, and she had just finished making hot cocoa - complete, of course, with cinnamon. Snow and Charming were out, more than likely being all adorable and snuggly somewhere, but that left Emma to have some quality time with Henry. "Henry," she called to the boy who was upstairs. "Hot cocoa's ready! And, I've got a surprise for you."
Under the tree, there was a box that was for Henry. Well..there were many boxes for Henry, but this one was special because it was a Secret Santa gift. It was ironic that she'd get her son as a Secret Santa, but Emma was happy for it. It just meant time for more bonding with him. Too many Christmases had come and gone without him in her life, and it broke her heart. Now she felt complete, and she could have given him a dozen gifts for each year she had missed, if she could. When Henry came downstairs, she grinned. "Hey, kid." She moved to sit at the counter in the kitchen, and she placed his cup beside her's. "Finish your cocoa and i'll tell you what the surprise is." Who was she kidding? She couldn't wait that long. "..Well..maybe just half of your cocoa.."

Henry sighed as he flipped over the next page to the latest issue of his 'Infinity' comic book. Why did Nova have to be stupid and remove his helmet mid-flight so high up in the air? 'What are you thinking' Henry yelled out loud, in his head. He would never understand Nova's tactics, and why he does what he does. He needed more information on what would be going on. The creators of Infinity made sure to leave the mind of Nova as confusing as possible.
When he heard his mother call, he looked up from his comic book, and set it down. "Coming," Henry called downstairs as he stood up and made way downstairs. It was oddly quiet in the usually noisy house. Not to mention calm, something that the house seemed to never be.
Running down the stairs, taking two at a time, Henry made way to the kitchen where Emma was, and he smiled. "Hey. Hot cocoa, yum. Did you remember the cinnamon?" Henry asked as he took a seat at the counter, and looked at the living room, all lit up in all the glory of Christmas Spirit. Looking back to the cup of cocoa he grabbed it and took a sip. Nearly spilling on his new jacket, he laughed and used the back of his hand to cover his mouth, while setting his cup down. "You seem really excited." Henry said as he swallowed his drink.

When Henry asked if she remembered the hot cocoa, she playfully rolled her eyes. "Well of course I remembered the cinnamon. It's my favorite too." She smiled, and took a sip of her own cocoa, looking rather proud of herself. "Do I?" She asked when he mentioned that she seemed excited. "Well maybe I just really like cocoa. Ever think of that?" She asked teasingly. "Or.." She stood up from her seat, and she grabbed the present she had gotten for Henry. She then sat it down beside him on the counter. "Maybe it's because of this. Merry Christmas, Kid." She bent down, and kissed the top of his head before mussing up his hair a little. "Go ahead.. Open it."
So far, she seemed to have done well with the gifts that she was meant to get for her Secret Santa people. However, since this was also her son, it was a little different. What would one get for the truest believer? When he opened the box, inside, he'd see two things. The first was a mint condition, number one edition Uncanny X-Men comic. "That was hard to come by.. but I thought you might like it." She gave him a small smile. The other was a piece of paper with a name on it. The name that was on the paper was 'David'. "So, you're probably wondering what that is. Well.. you know it's your grandpas name, but.. It's now your middle name. I figure that since Regina named you after her father.. I'd give you my father's middle name. What do you think?"

Henry smiled, and nodded. "I forgot about that. And you do. Like really excited." Henry held back a laugh as he took another sip of his drink. "Just enough cinnamon. Mom usually puts too little. She doesn't think hot cocoa and cinnamon are supposed to be together." Watching as his mother grabbed a gift, Henry took hold of it and quickly pulled the paper off of the think package.
When he caught sight of the contents, Henry's eyes lit up. The first edition of 'Uncanny X-Men' one comic book henry didn't have. Looking over the book he held, Henry smiled, and he stood up quickly giving Emma a hug. "Thank you. I love it. It's amazing. I didn't have this one. Aww. This is the best gift ever." Henry said happily. He couldn't believe he had gotten such a rare piece for Christmas. When Emma handed Henry a piece of paper, he looked to it and smiled. "I like it. I felt so weird not knowing my middle name. Now I have one. Two people who you, and my other mom care about. Thank you so much."
Henry was very excited, this was becoming the best Christmas. His first one with both mothers. Regina, and Emma, and knowing who his whole family was. Complete with grandparents, and people who he cared about. Christmas was just starting to make a little bit more sense for the young boy.
