Jack Frost didn't know why he signed up for secret Santa here in Storybrooke. He quite honestly didn't want to have to fill Santa's shoes, and he didn't even know where to begin. He visited Santa and asked him. "What made a good gift?" This was a mistake as it led to an hour long story from Santa on gift giving, and if Jack didn't suddenly exclaim that he had to go, Santa probably would of talked his ear off all night long. So clearly, the expert on giving gifts was no help on Jack having to give a gift to a pirate. He couldn't believe he drew a pirate for secret Santa, but here he was.
The list of things she liked was very specific, but Jack really didn't have much money to buy any of them, especially since he went to the store in town and everything that she even remotely like seemed to be expensive. So what was he gonna do? Well, he was gonna make her gift of course. Jack wasn't skilled at making anything but fun happen, so he was quite thankful that Santa at least allowed him to use his workshop. He planned on making her a pirate sword, seeing as she was a pirate. And of course the Easter Bunny offered to paint it for him, but Jack did it himself. Jack finished the sword and wrapped it up and he was now set to meet her in the local diner. He wondered if she would even be able to see him, what if she couldn't? He made sure to sign the card "Merry Christmas Katalina, Love Jack Frost" and placed it on the table, so she would at least be able to see the gift.

Katalina tugged the jacket around herself as she walked in the cold brisk air. She really didn't mind the cold, but she was always grateful for whoever had invented the jackets. If they didn't exist, she was sure that a lot of people would die of hypothermia. She proceeded to walk down the lane.
Katalina was actually heading somewhere to meet someone--that wasn't Killian--and she was eager to see who it was. As she came across the diner, she stopped and looked up at it, the wind blowing her hair in her face. She swatted her hair back before going inside. Once there, she saw a package on the table before looking up at a white-haired man. She knew Jack Frost existed, and her lips twisted in a grin. "You're my Secret Santa? Score, mate!"

"You can see me?" Jack asked her. Well, finally another person in this town that believed in him and saw him. He wondered how that happened and was gonna push her on the subject, before he realized that she figured out what the meeting was about. He nodded and held the present up for her to take. He wasn't Santa, or his helpers, when it came to making gifts, but he thought it didn't turn out half bad, at least he hoped that she didn't hate it. "I... made it myself." He admitted, hoping that this would cause her to be kind with her words on the gift in question.
"May I ask why you believe in me? The secret Santa people thought it was a mistake that my name was entered. I had to ask Elsa to confirm that I was real..." Jack told her. It wasn't that he wasn't glad that she believed in him, quite the opposite actually, he was just curious as to why she did. Most adults didn't know a thing about him or the other guardians.

Katalina smiled a bit awkwardly. "Yes, I can see you." She certainly didn't ask why he was surprised; she had heard many stories when she was a kid about Santa, Frosty, the Tooth Fairy, and her mother had said to always believe in them. That was the last promise she had made to her mother, and to this day, she kept the promise.
Katalina's eyes fell on the package, and she was mighty curious as to what it was. He told her that he had made it himself, and she stopped. No one--with the exception of her mother--had ever made her anything for Christmas. Her eyes lifted to him before looking back at the gift. She opened it, and the sword had her hypnotized for a moment, and then her mouth turned into a smile, and slowly into a grin. "I...love it. It's the best gift I've gotten in a long time. Thank you, Jack Frost!"
Kat felt like a kid in a candy store and when Jack asked why she believed in him, she looked up at him with her eyes shining. "It was thanks to my mother. She told me stories and told me to always believe in what she told me. She told me the stories the day before she passed, and made me promise to believe in her stories. One of the stories was about you. To this day, I stilll believe. I will always believe."
