Belle thought it rather a good idea of Henry to request a part-time job from his grandfather. She felt that the two did not spend nearly as much time together as they should. She supposed it must be difficult for Henry to split his time between all his family: he had two mothers, two grandfathers, and an uncle. She supposed he now had two grandmothers as well. It was somewhat comical to think of herself as a grandmother as she was hardly old enough to be considered one, nor did she have any children of her own. Still, she wished to bond with her grandson as well as she could.
"How is school, Henry?" she inquired, looking up from the ledgers that her husband kept behind the counter. She carefully wrote in her neat script an order purchased by Dr. Whale that afternoon. The antique pocket watch that the doctor had chosen rested beside her hand, waiting to be polished and boxed before he picked it up the next day. The brunette hoped Henry wouldn't mind something as simple as small talk to jump start their conversation as they both worked.

It wasn't long that Henry was at his grandfathers pawnshop, working as an apprentice he was quite happy he had something to do with his free time now. With Regina in a relationship with Robin, and Emma with Hook Henry didn't have much of a want to be around people who where all lovey-dovey on each other.
At least this way, Henry was in a shop setting where love wasn't much often spread around in the work. Just going around, dusting things clean He ry heard Belle speak. He didn't speak to her much, so it was quite odd but nice to see that the two could exchange some words.
"School is fine, it's a bit busy with exams coming up. Mom doesn't help much, you know how she is. " Henry replied. Looking to Belle, He ry shrugged. "How do you like being with Rumple? He's kind of weird."

"If you need help with school, I wouldn't mind being of assistance," Belle smiled. She'd have private tutors while living with her father in the Enchanted Forest. She'd wished dearly to study at a university but such a thing wasn't suitable for women of her rank. She couldn't help but chuckle at his description of Rumpelstiltskin. "He takes some getting used to," she answered, setting her pencil down.
"He's just like any other man; don't let him fool you." She loved him dearly and was proud of the changes he'd made in his life. She couldn't imagine being with him otherwise. She put away the account book under the counter before leaning on it with her elbows. "I know it must mean a lot to him that you want to spend more time with him by working in the shop."
