It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Tonight was a special night, and Killian wanted it to be remembered as such. He had to admit that he had not been sure what to expect the night he had allowed a woman aboard his ship. He had mused and entertained the idea that she could warm his bed on cold nights when they were out at sea and he was in need of . . . company. But it was not that. It had never been that. For each day he had spent with her aboard the Jolly Roger, he found more qualities about her that were without compare to anyone else he had met.
Killian was a bit of a shallow and materialistic man . . . in the sense that what drew him to a woman was their physical beauty. And at times, convenience. At other times, a challenge. He had even for some brief time considered Milah a challenge, for she was a mother and wife and had wanted to join him and his men. But it had not been that either. Killian knew exactly what it was.
Love. He was in love with her. The more time he spent with her, the more his heart swelled with such an unknown emotion, for he had never experienced it before. He had always thought she'd sail with him for a while, and then eventually return home. But now, he wanted to stay with her, he wanted her to stay with him. For the life and adventures of a pirate had been far greater with her, and he knew would continue to be so at her side. Which was why tonight was very important. Despite any activities they may have shared, he wanted to tell her the words tonight. And in doing so, would determine her intentions.
He had set up a candlelight dinner in his quarters, long candles illuminating the other wise slight dark room to create a certain ambiance. There was a vase with a single red rose set in the middle of the table. He had carefully selected it, looking for an absolutely perfect one to be worthy of a ownership by a perfect woman. She was much like the flower; beautiful, vibrant, but had thorns that showed her strength and lack of weakness. Yes. She was as rare as a perfect rose, and he planned to honor that as much as he could.
The table was set for two, a pitcher of wine and a large dinner -- more substantial than what they usually consumed on the ship. He even wore a new deep read blouse and vest on top, wishing to dress for the occasion. He had sent Smee to extend the invitation for her, and as Killian inspected himself in the mirror, he found himself feeling yet another unfamiliar emotion: nervousness. He didn't show it of course, but he felt it. He didn't know why. He was confident to the point of arrogance. Yet with her, with Milah . . . things felt different. He heard footsteps approaching and he quickly readied himself, grabbing the rose from the vase and standing at the door. Taking a deep breath he opened it, to reveal a vision that epitomized beauty.

Milah was a wreck. The sun was beginning to fall ever-so-slightly, and Milah was busy trying to help others make sure the wooden planks to the deck was shining. Having gotten to her knees, so she would wash the whole patch of boards at her feet that had blood stains. 'Stupid, ignorant man.' Milah thought as she scrubbed. The man was obviously very pathetic, having challenged the Captain to a duel. That is really how they all lost their lives. Ignorance, it was never a thing to act upon. But she was slightly proud of the man, not showing any cowardice when he proposed the challenge.
Standing up to go get more suds on her rag, the bandana she had left with when she first came to the ship. Leaving her old life behind, and using the cloth for something to help the ship; Milah had not even looked back on the life she had left behind. She found a new life, one that kept up with her need for adventure.
When she was about to get back to the stain, she saw an all-to-familiar Mr. Snee approaching. With a roll of her grey-eyes, Milah looked to the man. He was slightly drunk, but she didn't mind. When on 'The Jolly Roger' was their ever nobody drunk? This ship lived for adventure, and their drinks. With a slight smile, despite her messy hair and clothes. She looked to the man, and nodded when he had told her demands.
Killian had wanted her, and the woman quickly made one exception. After she finished this one spot of the floor boards. Milah took her work seriously, and though a tedious task, the woman didn't let it falter her night. As soon as complete, she stood and looked to the boards. "Just like new" she spoke softly to herself, and about to go for a drink until she remembered Snee. The Captain was awaiting her presence.
Running along to get the other bit of clothes she had, a simple burgundy dress. She would be leaving for that drink after she knew the reason to the Captains orders. Running a brush quickly through her hair before parting, she looked a mess. But Milah made sure they weren't substantial enough to put a damper on things. Heading back to Mr. Snee, so he could show her the way, though she already knew. It wouldn't be the first time she had been in his quarters.
After a short walk, Milah left Mr. Snee and she watched him leave to part, before Milah turned to the door in front of her. With a deep breath, Milah knocked lightly on the door, but was greeted almost instantaneously from the man behind it, Captain Jones.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION When Killian saw Milah standing there, a soft smile remained on his lips. "Evening," he greeted, stepping aside so that she could enter as he closed the door behind him. She always looked so breathtaking and he knew it was because he had gotten to know her and in doing so, she had an inner beauty that complimented her outer one . . . and it just made her more stunning all together.
"You look radiant tonight," he complimented, truly meaning his words as he extended the single red, long stemmed rose to her. One may assume he was saying this because she was a woman among men, but that hadn't been the case at all. He wouldn't be doing all this for just anyone. In fact, he never did do any of this for anyone. This was a special occasion, and he only hoped it would not end in anything less than success. For while he felt the way he did, he could not be entirely certain she reciprocated such feelings. He supposed he would find out tonight. "I thought we could enjoy a quiet evening together," he continued, motioning to the table and moving toward it, pulling out a chair for her to sit on at the table.

Milah gave a gentle smile to Killian, and returned his greeting. "Good evening." she said gently. Milah headed into the quarters, walking past Killian, as he closed the door behind them. When she entered, she was given a rose and she couldn't help but smile. Her cheeks turning a slight pink shade, Milah took the rose. "Thank you Killian. It's beautiful."
Spotting the table made her heart melt a little bit, who knew Killian could be such a romantic? "Thank you. And might I say, you look quite handsome." Milah returned the compliment. He looked good, and his attire was quite a change from what he usually wore, but Killian pulled it off.
Taking the sea as Killian pulled it out for her, she sat down. "Why thank you. I am quite surprised to see you in something, a bit more colorful." Milah laughed as she looked at her rose. It was really beautiful, and she loved it. Setting it in the vase on the table, Milah smiled. "You did an amazing job setting up."

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Seeing the way her cheeks turned a light shade of pink at the rose, made him softly smile, filling with a sense of pride that his actions had caused such a reaction in her. He wondered when the last time someone other than him made her blush like that.
Certainly not that husband of hers. It was surely why she ran away from him; because he lacked everything a man should be. That sense of pride continued to fill him whens he further complimented the rose. "Not nearly as beautiful as you," he returned, meaning it whole heartedly.
Once she was seated, he made his way to the chair across from her, hearing her speak of how he looked handsome. "I know," he said with playful arrogance and a cocky smile. As he took his seat, she expressed her surprise in seeing him wear something more colorful. He couldn't help but give a slight chuckle at that. This was one of the many reasons he loved her; the ease of their conversation, her sense of humor, her teases. Ah yes.
He had completely fallen for her in ways he never thought possible. "Are you saying you don't like my regular attire?" He questioned in feigned offense, making it evident that he was just teasing. "I can always go for pinks and purples if you prefer," he added in further jest. His smile grew when she told him that he had done an amazing job setting up . . . feeling that same childish pride.
"I wanted tonight to be special," he began to say as he reached for the pitcher of wine and proceeded to fill her cup, doing the same to his. He knew he could get someone to serve them, but he wanted to be alone with her tonight. "For you deserve it." Just as she deserved to be happy. Which he hoped she would be . . . with him.

To Milah this moment was perfect. She felt as though she had finally had that one person who knew how to be a man, rather than cowardly, and more into his own thing than showing those they cared for, a nice night. With that first few words Killian spoke however, Milah laughed and she shook her head.
"Still the smooth-talker from when I first met you." Which was quite true, Killian didn't change a bit, and it was the person who she began to grow quite fond of. He was always sarcastic, but he knew how to woo the women. He usually had that demeanor about him, which was quite suiting for Killians personality.
"No!" Milah said a little too fast, biting the inside of her cheek softly, Milah rephrased that. "Sorry, what I meant to say, was. No thank you. You look amazing in whatever you wear. Just... maybe keep pink and purple away. I don't think I could ever see you in those colors. Red, and Black however? Keep with those." Milah said looking over the rose once more. It was not something she saw much, roses. Being on the sea most of the time, she sometimes missed the flowers. But not enough to make her want to go there all the time, to the land.
Milah was quite content on the way she lived now. It was always a joy to be on the sea. The adventure of a lifetime, facing all the foes and dangers of the sea. "And thank you Killian. However, don't think just because I am a woman I need the leisure of this. Do not do such things for just my liking. Rather than your liking as well." Milah smiled to Killian as he poured the glasses of wine. Now that, pouring the drinks was something that she was used to. He really had gone all out, and Milah was by no means wishing he hadn't done so. It was a nice treat from spending a day cleaning
