.:Physical Appearance:.
Angelique has long red hair, and blue eyes. She has a style that's all her own.. Sometimes her clothing choices are rather outlandish, but her lazy days are spent wearing sweats and yoga pants. She wears contacts in the modern world, but she still prefers wearing glasses. She was never allowed to wear glasses in public when she was out with her mother - she was far too embarassed. She wanted to have two beautiful daughters, not just one.
She almost never wears heels. Her slightly clumsy nature prevents that from being a good idea.

.:Personality:.
Angelique had been perceived to be a little bit stuck up, but really, she was merely trying to fit in. Deep down, she's smart. A book worm, with a secret love of fantasizing of far away places and adventures. She's also caring, and sweet. Sure, she's a little bit on the spoiled side because of how she had been raised, but she prefers to take care of herself rather than have someone do it for her. Which, was why she felt so odd making her step sister clean her floors and wash her linens.
She's strong, but not too prideful to ask for help when it's needed. Her favorite person in the world, despite their past, is her twin sister. She has hope that one day, she'll come to her senses and run away just as she had.
Although she has a kind nature, there are times when she can have a bit of a princess complex. It's likely because of her upbringing..but mostly because she's just a girly girl.
She has a bit of a flare for dramatics.. blame it on the love of books. But since she was so fond of theater - and musicals, she decided to become Storybrooke's resident theater teacher, also starring in of the productions - when others didn't want to be cast, of course. In her free time, she's an unpublished writer of short stories.

.:History:.
Angelique had grown up having a very privileged childhood. They never had to even really ask for anything.. they just had it all handed to them on a silver platter. It was a charmed life, for sure. Everything had been perfect, at least in Angelique's eyes, until she and her sister were about to turn Twelve and her father passed away. It all happened so fast... too fast. She honestly didn't even cry because she never had time to grieve. It seemed like it was only a few months later - which it was - that her mother was marrying another man, and she and her twin sister were being moved to a completely different kingdom. It was only her and her sister until now.. And suddenly they were being thrust in to a new family situation with a new father, and a new sister.
Her mother didn't even seem..happy. She seemed as though she had been settling. Angelique never understood why she even bothered marrying the man if she didn't love him. She didn't quite understand that it was because of money. To Angelique..it was just something that was always there. Always a constant in her life. She never realized that it had to come from somewhere, and her mother had never worked a day in her life.
It wasn't very long until her new step father met his demise. Angelique was starting to wonder if maybe her family was cursed. Perhaps Angelique and her sister weren't meant to have a father. Again..Angelique never cried. Cinderella cried for her father, though. Quite a lot. Angelique could hear her sobbing in her room at night. She longed to be her.. She wished that she could cry for her departed father as well..but the tears never came.
The following years..the teenage years..were rather trialing. While Cinderella waited on the three women hand and foot, Angelique and Marguerite were being groomed to be the perfect brides. Their mother had gotten old, and was progressively losing her looks. She wanted to live vicariously through her daughters, and poor Cinderella didn't seem to qualify as one of them. It was a shame.. she was so pretty. Every now and then, when no one was looking, Angelique would help Cinderella clean and cook, but swore the girl to secrecy. No one was to know that she had assisted. The help was far beneath Yvette Rosseau, and anyone who partook in such actions were just as low.
Eventually, Cinderella got her happy ending.. but it was only the beginning for the Rosseau sisters. One evening, Angelique heard her mother prattling on, talking to herself like a mad woman in her bed chambers. Of course she had listened in...she was drawn to what she had been saying. She heard her mother admitting to herself that she not only killed her first husband - the father of her daughters - but that she also was responsible for the death of Cinderella's father as well.
She went to her sister, hoping that she could tell her the truth.. but of course, Marguerite didn't believe her. It was a rather far fetched story, after all.. but when their mother found out that she knew, Angelique was to be sent away to a convent. Her mother said it was for the best.. that she was merely holding Marguerite back from getting a proper husband. Angelique was sent to a carriage, and as it was being sent off, she jumped out and escaped. She had ran away, never to look back, and happened to be back in Snow White's kingdom when the first curse had hit.
The one thing she had always hoped for.. was to see her sister again.| ~ • ~ | Sample Post | ~ • ~ |
Angelique had just heard her mother saying some rather horrible things. The first thing she had to do was confront her.. but she couldn't. She had decided to just go to her sister instead...but what was she to do? How could she ever break the news that their mother was such a cruel person? Sure, she had been mean to Cinderella, but this was a completely new level of horrible. She was a murderess, and she had gotten away with everything. Every dress, every new hair ribbon, every new pair of shoes that the girls received had been purchased by money that was only given to their mother because of the horrible things she had done.
The only thing she could do was hope that Marguerite believed her when she told her what happened, but it was a pretty big story to believe. Not to mention, Angelique had a bit of a flare for the dramatic, which meant that she was known to exaggerate things quite often. This was no exaggeration, though. She knew what she heard, and there was no denying it. So with a deep breath, Angelique curled her hand in to a fist, and lightly rapped on Marguerite's door. "Marguerite? May I come in?" Her eyes darted down the hall, in hopes that her mother did not hear.
