game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Hades wasn't sure he believed in fate. Not in the way that all these love sick puppies running around this town seemed to believe in. He believed in prophecy. In what The Fates told him -- it was after all, why he had been so determined to get out of that hell -- literally -- that he had been trapped in for so long. If he did in fact believe in destiny, and everything happening for a reason . . . then perhaps it would have made more sense as to how he just happened to come across none other than the Boogyman himself. Correction: former Boogyman -- Hades had assured that.
The former Lord of the Underworld had been visiting the morgue at this late nightly hour -- a rather fitting place for him. He was checking the bodies, still making sure that Zeus nor the others had made their way here due to the curse. On the one hand, it would be good considering he could get rid of him on equal ground. On the other, Hades wanted to make sure he had the upperhand of being prepared should Zeus shove his way into his life here. It was his wandering through the hospital, that he had caught sight of Pitch in he distance. It had been enough for Hades to pause and watch him, a smile creeping on his lips.
Oh now this was far too tempting an opportunity to resist! Hades just had to gloat and catch up with his former . . . whatever they were. Clad in a fedora to conceal his face, Hades quite literally followed the man, though ensured to watch from a distance, not wanting to create a public scene. Apparently, there were two Sheriff's here, which was a ridiculous notion but alas, it was the way things worked in this bizarre town. Hades proceeded to follow him, watching where he was going, and it was only until he was inside where he was staying, that Hades took advantage of this opportune moment. He waited for a bit, before following him, knocking on the door in a musical manner. Knock Knocknockknock . . . Knock knock!

Damian had a long shift at the hospital that night, causing many people to fall into the deep sleeps that would keep them out of commission for their surgeries. A part of him wanted to only pretend to administer the medicine so he could watch the people scream when the surgeons started to cut with scalpels... but alas, he kind of needed and wanted to keep his job at the moment. No one knew who he used to be, because he was humanized before the curse even hit. He had lived years as a normal, lowly human in the Enchanted Forest. No thanks to that Lord of the Underworld, Hades.
Damian finished his shift and made his way back to his office, gathering his things and leaving in a hurry. Hospitals so many people in a living nightmare yet so many people who were so eager to make that nightmare a dream. It was pathetic how those doctors cared so deeply for people they didn't even know. It made Damian sick.
He rolled his eyes as some doctors said goodnight and made his way back to his apartment. He was barely in there five minutes when the 'two bits' knock was rapped on his door. His eyes squinted at the door as she gently slipped his bag off his shoulder. He crossed to the door and opened it, only a little, and saw a man with a fadora through the crack. "Can I help y-" Damians snarky comment disappeared as swiftly as it came. He knew that face. He knew that stance. He knew that silhouette. "Hades," he breathed, opening the door a little wider.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Hades kept a smile on his lips as Damian stopped mid sentence once he realized who was standing on the other side of the door. He even vocalized this acknowledgment, quite aware of the fact that Pitch may be a tad bit resentful toward the Lord of the Underworld. But that hardly phased him. In fact, it was part of what brought him to his door: rubbing it in. "Pitch," he said, returning the greeting. "Now if you think I'm here to gloat . . . " he began to say, his voice suggesting for a moment that he wasn't here for that.
He then took advantage of the fact that the door had been opened a little more once Damian registered who he was. "Then you're absolutely right," Hades finished nonchalantly, as he walked by Pitch and right into his place. Hades' arrogance allowed him to have a strong sense of entitlement, which meant he didn't need an invitation to come inside. His eyes looked around the room before he turned toward Pitch, standing in the middle of his place of residence. "So, how have you been?" He asked, his voice displaying a clear tone of mocking. He obviously didn't really care how the man was. He was just here to, as he said, gloat. "Trouble sleeping I take it?" He further inquired with the same taunting manner.

Damian couldn't believe that Hades, the God of the underworld himself, wad standing outside his door. It was even stranger that, for a moment, the God sounded as though he may actually be a little apologetic. Damian had barely opened his mouth though when Hades tone changed to a familiar patronizing tone as he pushed the door open and walked straight into the apartment.
Pitch followed his path with his gaze and wasn't able to speak for a moment, probably looking like a silly fish with its mouth agape. When the God asked him how he had been, with all sorts of sass and mockery dripping from his lips, Damian finally closed the door behind him.
Bringing up sleeping was a harsh blow to the ex boogeyman. "What are you doing here?" he asked, slowly while over-pronouncing each word. It was strange, seeing the God of the Underworld in his modernized living room. The last time he saw the God they were both wearing misty black robes and looking much more old school. "Wait...." his tone lightened into curiosity, "what are you doing here?"

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Oh this was too much fun! Damian question what Hades was doing here, before repeating the question with more curiosity, which only made Hades smile remain in place. He decided to make himself comfortable, sitting on one of the arm chairs after he had scanned over his room. He then looked at the former Boogyman, deciding to give some answer to his question. "I know, I know. You're here wondering how I got out of that hell. And well, let's just say it wasn't damn easy. But I have my ways." He wasn't going to give specifics of how or who he had made a deal with.
What mattered was that he was out now. And perhaps unlike many of the others, he was content to stay here as long as it took because the more time he left the Underworld unruled, the more likely chaos would ensue over Mount Olympus. "But let's talk about you," he said, that same teasing tone rather apparent in his voice. "Hows everything been going here for you?" He asked, not inquiring out of concern, but rather . . . to be mocking of his powerless state.

As Hades decided to make himself at home, Damian remained in front of the door, leaning his back against it and folding his arms. He wasn't going to be on the same level as that man any time soon, in fact, he liked being higher than him. Not that it really matter or that Hades noticed. He probably found his position of comfort to be more commanding. Which, Damian had to admit, it kind of was. "Wasn't easy? Did you want to?" he cocked an eyebrow at Hades in disbelief. Why would he leave the domain that he was over and ruled on purpose? No, there was more going on here...
Although, Zeus has put him there as punishment, so maybe he did want to leave. Whatever, he shouldn't matter to Damian. Damian scoffed at his next question and rolled his eyes a little, "Don't start with me. First you banish me to a world WITH magic but I don't have any-now we're here and..." he shook his head. Why was he giving Hades what he wanted and telling him how horrible he felt. He straightened up, "Hasn't been that bad now, though." He lied. He felt like a teenager, lying to their father about being happy in their miserable life.
