Anastasia almost always has her long blonde hair pulled back into a messy up-do. The casualness of it contrasted with her outfit; a dark suit with the only pop of color being her red heels and equally red blouse just barely visible from under her fur coat. Her suits are Armani, and she wears several variations on the same one — an ideal choice for a woman working in such a regimented environment. Anastasia is highly efficient, and seems like the type of person who would just go ahead and buy five copies of the same outfit once she’d found something that struck the correct balance between formal and feminine. Not one hair, button, or thread out of place. Always keeping a level of falsehood and control.

There is no way one becomes Queen of Wonderland without having the seed of greed. Anastasia, who desires to be referred to as The Red Queen has often been on the good side of greed. She is bloodthirsty, more than just in a literal sense- Anastasia thinks of herself rather highly and believes that if the world was not in her hands, then the it shall crumble. More egotistic, less messianic.
Beneath her rather kind smile is the trap of deceit, deception, manipulation and the limitless craving for power. Yet, Anastasia is not the personification of evil- she is simply highly intellectual and was raised by an aristocratic mother who has seen generations who have struggled to those who do not use greed well; she believes she uses it well- not for corrupt purposes but for the benefit of many.
Albeit her dragon lady reputation, she aspires to be a good queen. She's kind hearted and gentle with her kingdom....For the most part anyways. She certainly knows her old mentor wouldn't approve. Though at times you can consider her quite stubborn and selfish- which is why only a few dare to argue with her for in her want to be open, she herself has been closed.
Anastasia has a sense of sophistication, she basks in sarcasm and is highly intellectual. She can be selfish, greedy, manipulative and intimidating; but at the same time she is a Queen of pure intention- with a dream that co-existence between all of Wonderland can be achieved.

Really not sure how / if Anastasia will get to Storybrooke. So yeah, if you need an occupation, I guess interior decorator would be most deserving.

The people of Wonderland knew very little about her history- mostly rumors of those who have never seemed to like her. Anastasia was said to be born in The Enchanted Forest- she was of royal blood, which would explain her desire to rule over all of Wonderland. She was the favorite, she was set to be queen. As the daughter of an aristocrat, she grew up imagining how the world would be when she would be the highest authority. You can imagine her disappointment and her mothers dismay when her ugly, ragged, step sister got the prince. Something she was groomed for since birth. This made her relationship with her mother very tumultuous. There’s a lot of self loathing that goes along with that and a lot of thwarted ambition.
Very soon after this she met Will Scarlet at a market while her mother and sisters were off looking at some newly shipped spices. The young, ambitious and naive thief was about to snatch her bracelet before she turned around and pierced him with her steely gaze. The moment their eyes met it was love at first sight, she fell head over heels for this latchkey kid. I mean, who wouldn't? He was charming, good looking, and loved her no matter what her status was. He completely changed the views her mother instilled in her. He convinced her that power isn't greater than love. He gave her everything Lady Tremaine failed too and would do anything for her. As evident by his betrayal of not only Robin Hood, but also the witch Maleficent. Will knew Lady Tremaine wouldn't approve of their love and the only way they'd be able to escape her wrath was if they could disappear and garner a fresh start in a whole new world.
Her mother confronted the much in love couple before they could take the plunge into a new world, Anastasia was convinced Will would provide and give her everything her mother couldn't. So off they went, into the looking glass. Taking on this strange and very new world with just the two of them. After just a few weeks in Wonderland, the young couple were very poor and hungry. A circumstance Anastasia never thought she would find herself in. She was regretting more and more about leaving her palace, but would never admit that to herself. She would never admit that her mother may have been right. Very soon Anastasia and Will become Wonderlands own Bonnie and Clyde, stealing whatever they could find just to get by. Will breaking into the palace while Anastasia chats up the king. Hoping to steal their food, but getting caught and thrown out. Much to the disappointment of Ana, as she felt right at home back in her regal environment. After being thrown out of the palace both thieves hatched a plan to steal his jewels and go back home. They could not only be rich, but escape their crimes. Ana missed her mother dearly, she would not only love to see her again, but come off like the two of them made it on their own. As she used her regal bred charm to sneak her way back into the palace, she was caught red handed by the Red King trying to steal his crown. Instead of locking her up, or even worse, hanging her like she anticipated. He offered her his hand in marriage.....She loved Will, but was love enough? She knew deep down he never could fulfill his promises of giving her a better life and accepted the King's proposal. Entranced by everything Lady Tremaine instilled in Anastasia since birth.
She was now Queen of Wonderland. Her first act as Queen was to greet her people over the balcony, her eyes met a crushed and defeated Will Scarlet. She gazed at him briefly only to ignore him and continue the celebration.
The story continues that from then on, after marrying the Red King she met The Queen of Hearts who reminded her very much of her mother. Anastasia was desperate for a matriarchal figure and Cora Mills was perfect to fill that void. After The Queen of Hearts taught Anastasia everything she knew. She became a dark sorceress- she killed and killed and killed. She was playfully called death row. She did not murder out of loss of control, she just murdered out of anger. Her mentor the Queen of Hearts simply observed her and let her grow into her own. And it was in her teachers untimely death that she was masked in bitterness. The Red Queen would continue her murder- both creatures and humans with no remorse and just the labels of how people could snatch away dreams and happiness in a snap- well so could she, when life she would take away.
The mystery is how she has turned into who she was now. Slowly, Anastasia earned respect and ultimately fear from her people after her husbands untimely death. Several bits and pieces of her history remain, but truly Anastasia would stay true to her mission to be the ultimate rule of Wonderland. But when Will reappears the need to get him become her personal pathology. She’s given her all as Queen but there’s a sense of her being the wicked witch who really wants to have him because she wants to possess him. She's still quite unsure whether she wants to love Will or kill him. This gradually changes Anastasia from the calm, all-red palette of Wonderland to vivid, poisonous greens.| ~ • ~ | Sample Post | ~ • ~ |
"We caught a bandsersnatch your majesty" Two large men dressed in all black held what seemed to be the monster all of Wonderland feared. The blood on its mouth was dark. Its hair that was once beautiful as a mane seemed to be falling off; but the infected beast seemed to still be able to communicate- just suffering from a hunger. Although powerless because of the cow like disease that's spreading throughout the kingdom; its mouth still tried to reach for the guards, snapping its jaws like a crocodile.
The queen, The Red Queen, sat on her throne. She stared at it, looking at her once powerful subject, now just like a peasant- weak and vulnerable. She wore a red fur coat, her hair graceful in its curls and a thick diamond necklace accentuated her look. Glass stilettos added a touch as she pursed her lips in disappointment. That was all she wore though- nothing more than that. It was something the palace has been used to. "This? How many more do we have? How many have you caught? Surely...your skills have allowed you capture more than just one awful monstrosity." There was an air of sarcasm in her tone- with the money allotted for her staff and court, it wouldn't have made sense if they had only caught one. The sickness that went around wonderland, infecting many of the animals and people. The Queen suspected it was dark magic.
"There are four more your majesty. We can catch more, but the plague that's infecting the beasts of Wonderland are afflicting mostly the weak and young. More experienced creatures like the jabberwocky are uncatchable" He was right. "Fucking pathetic . Doesn't deserve to be here. Doesn't deserve to even worship me for how weak they are." The high sense of annoyance could be felt with every word she uttered. "Take the others to the lab, have them examined, find a fucking cure." She rolled her eyes.
She stood up and the rest of the court bowed, most on their knees. The Red Queen was old and seasoned in the ways of magic- she knew her strength. In bullet speed, The Red Queen used her magic to put this infected beast down- and sat back on her throne. The head rolled to the entrance door as the crowd was in silence. Surely, a display of what she could do. Though there as nothing visible to the eye as everything happened so fast- the only clue was Anastasia wiping her hands with a clean white towel. She had an evil smirk on her face. "Next!" She echoed-
The Red Queen insisted, convinced of her sayings, a bitter smile spreading on her rosy lips. Such a beautiful thing she was, such a beautiful thing that was Anastasia's mentor's only means to get her revenge — The Red Queens tongue was venomous and sharp and yet she cared not for the words she spoke as they were beyond true. She pitied the ugly thing in front of her. In this world, a woman could only be beautiful, a woman could only be married to make her husband -she thought of the word as if she were cursing, so disgusting it echoed in her ears- miserable.❝ It is all nonsense — love is nonsense, it only brings heartache. You cannot expect of a woman who was afraid of sunlight ever since she was little to love. No, I could not possibly love, for love is weakness.❞ She had come to this world, to wonderland, to be loved, and to make those who loved her absolutely m i s e r a b l e.
She remembered Cora's words of wisdom to her quite clearly and it brought strange discomfort to her heart, for she had a heart that could be stabbed and if it ceased to be, she would cease to be. And yet that was the irony of it all — she had a heart that could not love.
