------------------------------------------------------- Today had been a very hard day for Henry, with all his memories flooding back and the town in trouble again. The worse news was his dad was dead... There was so much happening and he was so angry that his mother hide most of it from him... He knew she was just protecting him but to keep him from his other friends and family was wrong... Henry was torn between how he felt. Heart broken that his father was gone and he did not get the chance to say goodbye. Usually Henry was optimistic and out going but today it was harder and he was not sure where his mother was at this time. She was off doing something important that Henry wasn't allowed to join in and help with.
Henry sat in the location of his old safe place from so long ago. His castle where he had once sat with Emma making her believe in all this that was his world. With a deep sigh he sat on a bench trying to pick up the pieces of his life to put them back together. Everything was so confusing he was getting older things were getting harder and he didn't have a father to talk to. He couldn't very well go to either mother cause well they were girls and his grandfather David was a bit busy with the baby coming and dealing with the Wicked Witch. Henry was sent off to be with Hook again sure he would show up soon seeing as Henry left extra early to get a little alone time with himself.
Pulling out a granola bar Henry sat back and looked around before opening it up to eat it. He had to be careful it seemed like there was trouble lurking in all the shadows though a part of him felt confident he would be fine. But there was always the little glimpse of doubt that haunted everyone at some point in time and his was a bit larger then usual with everything else that seemed to be going on with him internally. He would of course figure it out eventually, he always managed either by himself or with the help of his friends and family. ------------------------------------------------------- Tag: Killian Jones Time: After he got his memories/Neal's death Notes: So Excited!! -------------------------------------------------------

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Emma had asked Hook to speak with Henry, spending the day with him . . . so when the boy didn't show up on time, naturally, Hook grew concerned. With the threat of the Evil Witch still pending, anything was possible and they couldn't take any chances. Killian had checked all the typical places: Granny's, the park, the arcade . . . anywhere he could think of. When he had no luck, Emma informed him of one particular place that Killian hadn't known about; apparently the boy had his own castle.
Killian followed the directions given to him and soon enough, he came across a wooden castle, seeing the image of the boy sitting on the bench. Killian had come with gifts. In his hook, he had a bag of food for the boy in case Henry hadn't eaten -- since he'd been planning on them having lunch together.
In his hand, he had a very special gift for him. With Henry's memories now returned, it would be easier to talk of Baelfire and offer Hook's own experiences with his father when he had been about Henry's age. Setting the gift aside for the time being, Killian approached from behind stopping as he stood in front of the bench. "May I sit down?" He asked, not wanting to presume anything but at the same time, didn't really want to leave him even if Henry rejected his company. "I come baring gifts," he added with a bit of a smile as he raised his hook to show the bag of food.

------------------------------------------------------- Killian had arrived at Henry's sacred spot, the place he came so often when he was feeling alone and out of place here in Storybrooke. The very same place that he shared with his biological mother when the Regina was still evil. This was his safe place and a place where he could have some alone time. That was still Killian arrived. Looking up the sadness on his face was very well present. Knowing Henry when he was down it was obvious cause he was hardly ever down. He did well to always stay positive and helping keep others stay positive as well. He was one who never gave up and he wasn't giving up on anything but the loss he was going through was hard for a young boy to take.
Henry spent most of his life without a father and then to finally have one only to loose him again was devastating. "Oh, hey Killian." Henry sounded down... This boy was taking on the weight of the world at the moment and he felt he was doing it all alone. "Yes you can sit." Henry scooted over so Hook had room to join him. His eyes fell from the man down to the food then back towards the ground. Tapping his feet against the ground "I am not very hungry. Thank you though." With a heavy breath he sat back though he didn't make eye contact with anyone or anything except the ground.
He then spoke of something about a gift and Henry wasn't sure he was up for gifts but he would not be rude and turn him away. Sucking in a deep breath again he looked up and plastered a smile on his face, may have been fake and not very good but at least he was trying. Henry would pull himself out of this slump in due time he was sure. The hardest part was just sinking in and attempting to be processed. ------------------------------------------------------- Tag: Killian Jones Time: After he got his memories/Neal's death Notes: So Excited!! -------------------------------------------------------

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Killian felt a wave of relief when the boy wasn't completely rejecting of his company. He moved over to give the pirate space, and Killian seated himself next to Henry. He then went on to say that he wasn't hungry, and Hook remained silent for a few moments. He wasn't about to force the young lad to eat if he was not in the mood. "I'll just set this here, in the event you change your mind," Hook stated as he put the bag of food near Henry's feet. He then sat upright on the bench once more, allowing a few more moments of silence ensure before he finally broke it with this words.
"When I saw Baelfire . . . Neal, I didn't know how to console him over the loss of a father either," Killian began to say. He could now be more honest about his past with Neal, for while Killian hadn't lied to Henry, the entire age thing was a tad bit difficult to explain to someone who didn't believe in magic. He figured -- or well hoped -- that in his words, it would reinforce the similarity between Henry and Neal, giving the boy that link to his father. "He was about your age," Killian continued. "And just as strong, willing to take the weight of his burdens on his shoulders alone." They were so alike, and Killian wanted Henry to know that. He turned his head to look at the young boy.
"I see so much of Neal in you, and that is how I know that his spirit will forever live, in you and your mother." Hook loved Bae, having been eager to embrace the boy as his own son . . . before the image of Milah had been discovered. "But even he allowed others in, knowing that he did not have to be alone." Killian paused for a moment, giving a soft smile. "I may not be as good a man as he, but I want you to know that I am here for you, should you ever need a friend." He knew that he may not be the first option for Henry, but hoped that his past with Baelfire gave the boy some incentive to reach out to him. Maybe not now if he didn't want to . . . but perhaps in time. Killian just wanted to make sure he at least said, even if nothing came of it.

------------------------------------------------------- Henry nodded at him setting the food down encase he changed his mind though he really doubted he would. He wasn't hungry, the thought of food hadn't even crossed the young man's mind which was strange for a growing boy but with everything that has been happening it was no surprise he wasn't hungry. He lost his father... After everything, so many years of not knowing only to loose him for good. It was heart breaking really. A young man needed a father. He had David as a father figure and now Killian but no one beat his actual father. He should just count his blessings that he had others and that they were not all taken from him. The evils in this world and the next was surprising...
He really didn't have a whole lot to say as Killian spoke about his father. A part of him was jealous. Killian got so much time with Neal, as a child and a bit as an adult. His mother had more time then he did. Henry felt as if he only just found him for him to be ripped from his grasps. The emotions were everywhere and it didn't help that he was changing, "I hardly knew him..." It was a bit hard to hear about his father and how Henry was so much like him... He tried to believe that but it was difficult. Killian was trying to reach out but it seemed the further he reached the further Henry moved away. A part of his world had crumbled from under him. He was just barely hanging on... At least that is how it felt and the worst part was there was little time to grieve cause there was still evil out there threatening the rest of his family and friends.
Standing up he stretched a bit "Thanks." Looking down he kicked a small rock that stood by his feet. His safe place not feeling very safe anymore. So many memories that lead up to this... He couldn't have helped but wonder if he would have never tried to break the first curse, if he just could have been happy with that life alone then maybe his father would still be alive... Regardless he would have never gotten to meet him or his real mother... So many things would have missed out for that one life. It was hard to think such things no matter how much he missed his father he couldn't wish it because it would have stopped so many other good things and that included Killian in his life. But that didn't stop the feeling that it was partially his fault and it was written all over his face. ------------------------------------------------------- Tag: Killian Jones Time: After he got his memories/Neal's death Notes: Blah computer is being so mean! -------------------------------------------------------

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Well, this wasn't going too well. Killian knew he would have to use his next -- and perhaps last -- attempt to reach out to the boy, fully aware that if it failed, he would need to give Henry his space. And that felt like it was soon approaching with the way the lad stood up rather than remain seated next to the reformed pirate. Killian also rose to his feet, moving behind the bench so that he could reveal the other gift he had brought for Henry.
He removed the cloth that concealed it, revealing the elegant sword. Hook held the blade in his hand, the hilt pointed toward Henry should he wish to take it. Hook recalled the reaction from both Emma and Neal upon seeing that Hook had kept the sword . . . because their reactions were identical. They both spoke of how they hadn't known that Hook was a sentimental person. But when it came to Liam, Milah, and Bae -- those that he had loved and lost -- he was indeed sentimental. "It belonged to your father," Hook revealed, explaining the reason he extended this blade to Henry. "He would have wanted you to have it," he added on. Hook had once given it to Emma, thinking it would allow her feel close to Neal. He hoped it held the same sentiment for Henry.

------------------------------------------------------- Henry could tell Killian was really trying and it did make him feel a little bad for pulling away so much. It was just so hard to connect with Killian right now when all he wanted was to be jealous of what he had with his father. But jealousy was an ugly emotion and he really needed to push it out. Henry was better then that and he knew it. What he needed to do was just be happy he got to meet his father and spend the time he did with him even if it was short lived it was something! He cleared his throat a little bit and kicked at another rock as he fought his internal battle, trying very hard to not take it out on anyone. Lashing out would get him no where. Taking in a few deep breaths he was trying to calm himself. Killian was trying so he needed to try.
Then Killian pulled out a secret weapon, literally a weapon. Maybe not so secret to some but it really did surprise Henry. It was his fathers old blade, something Killian had kept for so long which to was impressive not really thinking Killian was one to keep items of sentiment but you learn new things every day. Walking up to it he stared at it shocked and speechless. "You're giving this to me?" He finally spoke up almost afraid to touch it. This belonged to his late father. Henry had very little to remind him of his dad and this was something from his past which could be carried on into generations for the future to come. It took everything Henry had not to let the tears fall from his eyes, this emotional state he was in was like a roller coaster that he couldn't get out of. ------------------------------------------------------- Tag: Killian Jones Time: After he got his memories/Neal's death Notes: So Excited!! -------------------------------------------------------

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Killian watched Henry intently as he presented the sword to him. He could see the emotion in his eyes, as Hook had hoped the gift would mean something to the young lad. And it appeared that it did. Killian wanted to do all he could within his power to ease the passing of the boy's father, for while Killian had never admitted it to anyone . . . he too was struggling in coping with Bae's death.
He had been the son of the woman that Killian loved; he had been a part of her. And losing him, had not been easy -- despite the tense dynamic that had existed between Hook and Bae before they had resolved their differences. Henry asked if he was truly giving it to him and Hook gave him the faintest of smiles. "Aye," he confirmed. "And if you like, it would be my honor to teach you how to use it." He didn't just want to give him the sword, but also, offer him the opportunity to learn how to use it . . . as he had once taught Baelfire.
