Tag: CoraNote: Better gif for layout coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Never did Killian think he would be allied with the woman he was currently sailing aboard his ship with. But nor did he have any complaints about it. She had promised him an opportunity to exact revenge on his nemesis . . . and well, Hook tended to sway toward whoever gave him a better offer. Once doing Regina's bidding, he now did her mother's, Cora's. She had informed him of a powerful curse that would befall the entire Enchanted Forest, one that would rip away everyones happy ever after.
That didn't bother Hook, for he didn't have a happily ever after. The more concerning thing was that they would be transported to a world without magic, without any memories of who they were. Yet Cora provided an alternative. They had traveled to an island, where she had shielded them from the curse and froze them in time. It was this very thing that assured Hook he had sided with the right ally. He peered through his telescope, taking in their destination that was not in the far distance. They would be arriving soon enough.
He tucked away his telescope and moved toward one of the flights of stairs, descending them. He then knocked on the guest quarters of his ship that had been offered to Cora. He knocked once on the door before going ahead and opening it. "We'll be arriving shortly," he told her. "Whatever it is you need to do to make ready, now would be the time to do it," he further added.

It shone brightly in a light pink hue. The heart was as pure as snow. She did rip it out quite a long time ago, she barely remember what it felt like to have it beating her body however she knew this was for the best. Without a heart, she'd have no weaknesses and nothing will get in her way of her quest for reconciling with her daughter. She gently placed her heart back in its box, she shut the box and gently set it with her things. "Thank you Captain. Now aren't you glad we skipped that unpleasant assassination business? I have to admit though it was clever on Regina's part. She is her mother's daughter, I raised her well after all." Cora clutched the rose Regina had placed on her body, thinking that she was dead. Originally Cora wanted to kill her daughter after what sending Hook to kill her in her own kingdom. However, even without a heart, she could not go ahead with it. After all, she was doing what she herself had done so many years ago by ridding herself on the one thing that made her weak. "I'll reunite with my daughter soon enough but not now, she doesn't need me. I'll go to her when she has no one else to turn to then she'll have no choice but to accept me back in her life and I'd find the one person who might still love me in this world and as for you my dear captain you'll get the chance to skin yourself a crocodile, in due time of course"

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook leaned against the threshold of the door as he listened to Cora speak of having skipped that assassination that had prompted their introduction to one another. "Aye," he agreed. "I do have to admit, I believe I chose the far better side, what with his pesky curse having made it's way throughout all the land." A curse that he too would have fallen victim to, had it not been for Cora.
"You two are indeed frighteningly similar," he agreed, a hint of sarcasm in his voice . . . though it was quite true. She further explained her plans, speaking of how her reunion with her daughter would be. It seemed both women also shared a common ability to scheme; to plan meticulously until they got what they wanted. What really peaked his interest were the latter part of her words, speaking of the opportunity that would be give to him to skin himself a Crocodile. "Good. Because as much as I would enjoy seeing a mother daughter reunion of a fairly dysfunctional family," he began to say, sarcasm thick in his voice.
"I have my own need for vengeance to address." And killing The Dark One in a world without magic sounded bloody perfect. "Are you sure this will work?" He questioned, needing to ask despite her reassurance and confidence as she planned accordingly. "I can't afford wasting more time waiting if it will be for nothing." Too long had he spent in Neverland, for twenty eight years he had remained frozen and now, well, he could hardly spend another moment waiting for the time to strike.

"My dear sweet Captain, after all this time why do you still doubt me? I haven't let you down so far. And even though we encountered some obstacles along the way like your little stint with Snow's daughter, we're still on our way to this new land. All we have to do is play our cards right. I have a trick up my sleeve." Cora pointed to a large box sitting amongst her belongings aboard the ship. It is what she had planned to bargain with the Dark One to obtain her daughter back and allow Hook to take his revenge.
"That will give me my daughter back and then once the time is right we'll find that precious dagger and all that power will be mine and with it there's nothing I won't be able to do. I will make the dark one my slave and command him to kill anyone I desire, starting with the one who tore us apart, Snow White and I will tear her family apart.
Cora still clutched her daughter's rose near to her, whispering that she'll soon be reunited with her love. ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook supposed that he shouldn't doubt her. She had indeed proved to be powerful, and magic was the one thing that often worked against Hook's favor. For he had no magical abilities of his own. Still. She had a point. She hadn't let him down thus far, though it still took him time to trust anyone . . . and he assumed the feeling was mutual, considering he was a pirate and all. And considering how he had gone back and forth for a bit . . . but at the end, he had chosen Cora over Swan and Snow.
"And how do you intend to play your hand?" He inquired curiously, hoping to get as much of the plan as he could for the last thing he wanted was to go in unprepared. He needed to know everything . . . though he figured he would only be told what she decided to inform him of.
She provided further insight into her ploy as she explained that she intended to take the dagger and use it to order Rumple to kill Snow, who had tore them apart. Killian slightly raised an eyebrow at this, waiting for her to finish, watching her with the rose . . . before he spoke. "While I relish at the thought of the Dark One being so submissive to another, I would much rather use the dagger to kill him, rather than order him about." Hook moved further into the room, taking a few steps toward her.
"Just when do I get my promised revenge?" He questioned, not wanting to see Rumple alive longer than need be. "Keeping him alive was not part of our agreement." Anything could happen to the dagger when in their possession, and Hook didn't want to take any risks. He wanted the Crocodile dead, once and for all. That was all he cared about.

There was no way she was going to let all that power vanish in thin air. "And tell me Dear Captain how do you propose to kill the all powerful Dark One in a strange land where we're the strangers and about which we know nothing about? I'm sure you've heard of his abilities and what he's capable of. I know that Regina's enchantment on that hook is no longer in effect. So do you expect the Dark One will invite you into his domain to kill him? Or are you plotting another assassination? The last one worked out so well. What we need is to gain the upper hand, have him at our mercy, gather some leverage, unless you have better ideas" Cora had to admit the thought of becoming the new Dark One seemed attractive. She already was powerful enough but The Dark One was her teacher after all, he was more powerful than her. All that power would be at her disposal and the all powerful entity would be at her command but first things first she had to have her daughter back, she can't afford to lose her now, especially now that she is within her grasp.
Cora tried her best to convince her partner that she was still on his side after all he had proved to be useful enough so far. Without him they would have still be in the Enchanted Forest since her plan had been foiled. Even though he had proven himself to be a worthy ally, he had also proven himself to be a capable enemy when he had picked that Swan girl over Cora's plan, so she knew she had to choose her words carefully. "Tell me Captain, why do you want The Dark One dead so much? I'm hardly surprised you crossed paths with him since he's infamous but I'm sure it wasn't because of your interest in magic." ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook was starting to get a bad feeling about this. Thus far, their alliance had been . . . tenuous. What with his betrayal over helping the opposing side and her nearly leaving him as a result. But this, this was far too great for any uncertainty. For it involved the fate of the Dark One. His demise, his death was something promised to Hook and he would do whatever it took to get it. With, or without Cora's aid. Preferably with, for the last thing he needed was another powerful enemy. Truth was, he didn't know how to kill the Dark One. He couldn't even take a heart any more for he had used the spell to take Aurora's, something that had come in handy in regaining Cora's favor.
"Surely something can be done once the dagger is in our possession. You must be able to do something to destroy him." Using the dagger to kill him . . . well, that wasn't exactly an option. But Hook was desperate. Unfortunately, she was right. He had no better idea. His impulsive need to kill the Dark One tended to overpower rationality at times. "I will not stop searching for a way to kill him," he added on.
"But in the meantime, I would be lying if I said the idea of him becoming your servant isn't satisfactory." Not as satisfying as killing him, but it would have to do. "You said that this land has no magic. Will his powers still be in tact or as strong?" Hook questioned, trying to get a better idea of what they would be up against. He had no idea what to expect from his land. All he knew was that he was determined to complete his mission. Nothing else mattered.
She then brought the question of his reasons for wanting to kill the Dark One. It immediately caused Hook to go silent, his gaze falling down to the ground for a moment as that devastating moment replayed in his mind. He knew that he may as well tell her, for she would find out sooner or later. It was hardly a secret. Though he didn't exactly go around advertising the fact either. "The Dark One murdered the woman I love," he revealed, his voice lower than usual and lacking any joviality.
He attempted to keep his tone guarded, rather than reveal any of the pain caused by the memory. His eyes raised to rest upon Cora once more. "I imagine you would understand the feeling of being torn from the person you love." Though it was more so her daughter rather than a lover. Still, Cora understood the need for vengeance, just as Regina had. "Consider yourself fortunate that that person is not dead as result." Milah was though. And Hook couldn't bring her back, no matter how desperately he wished he could.

WARM YOURSELF BY THE FIRE SON AND THE MORNING WILL COME SOON I'LL TELL YOU STORIES● OF A BETTER TIME AND A PLACE THAT WE ONCE KNEW ●● PLACE TO CALL HOME AND LIFE NO ONE COULD TOUCH ●BEFORE WE PACKED OUR BAGS AND LEFT ALL THIS BEHIND US IN THE DUST WE HAD A ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Cora could sympathize quite well with her partner. After all Rumple stole someone from her too, her daughter Regina. The night she was about to become queen and fulfill her mother's wishes, her daughter was manipulated by Rumple to send her away. Cora felt some anger towards him and even though she had no heart, she longed to be reunited with her daughter when the time was right. As for Rumple, she had a fate worse than death planned for him. The fool wants to kill him but his power is far too precious to be wasted on some old grudges especially in the name of love. In her eyes, love was weakness nothing but an illusion, Cora had warned her daughter of this just as Xavier did all those many years ago. She did not make all those deals to be stopped now, she had gone too far to stop now. Regina will be hers and next so will all that power she craves. Cora could not feel the same way since she had no heart, she had stripped herself from any emotional weakness that might hold her back from getting what she wanted. In her mind, Cora was unstoppable because she had no weaknesses unlike the rest of the others who still let emotions get in the way. She had convinced herself that it was for the best.
"In my experience love is weakness but that's just my opinion. Oh I have a few thoughts. You see, I too have crossed paths with the Dark One and if there's anything I've learned is that he values his power more than anything. He may claim he's changed all he wants but deep down all he really cares for is himself and keeping his power, he'd rather lose everything but that. You see the thing with power is, you have to respect it, you must believe that you deserve it and in some cases it makes you think you're nothing without it and the Dark One without his powers is nothing but a coward. So my dear captain what I propose is, let me take back my daughter and we'd gain ourselves a powerful new ally. The when the time is right we strike where it hurts. Everyone has a weakness and without the dagger, The Dark One will be vulnerable. And when the Dark One is vulnerable, all that power will belong to me."
Cora then stands up as her expression turns to a more serious one.
"Don't you see? I must take his powers my own, I won't let a glorious opportunity of gaining all that power go to waste."

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Cora spoke of how love was weakness, and only to a certain extent, could he agree. The pain of losing a loved one was far too intense to endure and he supposed that was why Regina had wanted to kill Cora to begin with. Losing Milah was not something Hook would ever be able to move past, for he would never love another. He instead, chose to focus on her words regarding the Dark One, and his constant craving for power. Killian knew that one.
He knew the Dark One quite well, considering the centuries he devoted to finding a way to destroy him. He couldn't help but smirk when Cora spoke of how the Dark One was nothing but a coward without his powers. "I knew him before he became the Dark One," Hook revealed, aware that not many knew him at such a time. Had it not been for Milah, Hook would not have known him at all. "He was a coward then, and he's a coward now," Hook continued on. "He will never be able to forgo an opportunity to gain more power, nor will he do anything to diminish his own." And that would ultimately be his downfall. "I accept your proposition," Hook agreed, knowing that it would be futile to go against Cora when they both had the same goal.
"All I wish to see is The Dark One suffer. That is victory enough for me." Perhaps death was too quick, too swift, far too easy a way out for the Crocodile. Suffering was far better; it was longer and torturous. Ah yes. This plan was certainly starting to sound appealing. "I want him destroyed," Hook added on, making that very clear. He looked at Cora as she rose to her feet, speaking of how all his power would belong to her. He slightly raised an eyebrow at this. "You wish to take his place?" He questioned. His hunger for power was what consumed the Dark One and by this revelation . . . he supposed that Rumple and Cora were quite alike in this way. "Harnessing his power will most certainly come at a price. Are you truly willing to pay it?" Hook inquired.
