It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Killian was planning for tonight to be a rather special one. Not because of any physical intimacy that may occur, or not even because he was about to present jewels or a new adventure to embark on. No. Today was something that he had never done before. It went beyond physical intimacy, beyond loot and treasure, and went beyond adventure. It was all about love. The emotions he had felt for the past little while were unlike any he had experienced before. He knew from the beginning that there was something different about Milah. He just hadn't realized how deep his emotions went for her. The two had commenced an intimate relationship, and he found whatever these feelings were to have been growing more and more with each passing moment he spent in her company. Finally, he had come to the realization of what it was: love. He had never been in love before, nor had he ever expected to. But Milah had changed all of that . . . and he couldn't have been happier.
They knew he could have planned their night aboard the Jolly Roger, but he wanted this to be different. He didn't want any drunken crew mate to come hobbling on the ship, nor did he want any other interruptions. It was why he had chosen a beach. They had made land for a couple of days and he wanted to take advantage of it. Not to mention the day that tonight just happened to fall on . . . and Hook couldn't say that it was entirely unplanned. He was currently leading Milah through a bit of a wooded area. He had blindfolded her, and was leading her by the hands, ensuring she did not trip over anything. He wanted this to be a surprise and didn't want her to have any inkling of it. "Almost there, love," he assured her. "Usually I condone cheating in all forms, however this is the one exception that I ask you not try to peak through the cloth," he said teasingly.
When they reached the clearing on the beach, he moved to stand behind her, He slowly pulled off the cloth, however kept both his hands over her eyes to further conceal her vision. He then leaned toward her ear. "Ready?" He asked, prolonging the surprise just a few moments longer. When he finally lowered his hands so that she could see, she would lay sight to what he had prepared. On the beach, there was a cloth placed on the ground for them to sit, while candles surrounded it for lighting. There was a path of rose petals, and a meal in the center with a bottle of wine. Now, ordinarily, Killian obviously didn't do this sort of thing, but tonight was an exception. She, was an exception to everything. And what better way to show that than a candle lit dinner under the moonlight, with the soft waves crashing in the near distance.

Milah wasn't always one for surprises, but this time, she was going to make an exception. She was very curious as to what Killian had been planning, especially since he had been being so secretive all day. It was nice though to know that they'd be spending the evening together with just the two of them instead of being bombarded by the drunken men of the crew. She was quite fond of them, they were like family, but sometimes it was wonderful for it to be just herself and Killian. He showed a different side of himself to her when they were alone. It was tender, and sweet..and it just completed the perfect package. "Don't worry, i'm not peeking..much," she teased with a grin, as she clung to him, careful not to stumble.
She knew they were on a beach..that much she could tell by the way the sand felt beneath her boots. Still though, she had no idea what he had set up. Many thoughts rushed through her head, that made her even more excited to see what he was planning, but she never asked for a hint..she wanted to be completely surprised. "How much further?" She asked in a teasing sort of whine. Her question was answered when they stopped walking, and he asked if she was ready. She nodded eagerly, and bounced on her heels as she waited for him to take off her blindfold. Once it was removed, and she opened her eyes, her jaw practically dropped.
There were rose petals, and candles. It was all so perfect.. who knew that Killian was such a romantic? With wide eyes, she lifted her gaze to Killian. "It's... it's so beautiful.." she breathed. "Killian I love it!" She flung her arms around his shoulders and hugged him tightly. "I can't believe you set all of this up without me knowing."

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Seeing and hearing her reaction, made Killian smile with pride. For his efforts to elicit such a reaction from her, was perfect. And made everything worth it. After having been so miserable with her husband, Killian wanted to make her happy, with him. And after what he said tonight, he hoped to prove his commitment to her. Not as a Captain, but as a man in love with her. He continued to smile as she put her arms around him, his own wrapping around her back. "I am a pirate after all, love. Being sneaky is a must in this lifestyle," he said teasingly, as he withdrew from the hug, only so that he could gaze at her for a few moments. It seemed like each time he saw her, she grew more and more beautiful, and he wasn't even sure how that was possible.
"Come," he said, gently taking her hand in his own as he led her to the picnic he had set up for them. He waited for her to sit down before he did the same. He had ordered proper food, rather than any cheap one from the tavern. And there was no rum tonight. Only good quality wine. He lifted the bottle and began to fill one of the cups, before filling the other. "You deserve far more than you were even given, Milah" he began to say, thinking on how she was when she'd been with her husband . . . to seeing her now. "You deserve to be happy," he finished, and he hoped that she could find that happiness with him. He knew that her son was still absent from her love, but soon enough, they would have him join them, and they could be a family, free from the misery Rumpelstiltskin brought.

Milah tried her best to fight back the tears that were wanting to fall, but the stinging behind her eyes was a little difficult to ignore. She smiled and lifted a hand, pushing her hair behind her ear when he spoke of how being sneaky was a pirate's lifestyle. He had a point there, she supposed. She followed him to the cloth on the sand, and she knelt down, noticing that there was indeed no rum. This was a little bit shocking, but she wasn't about to complain.. a nice wine sounded perfect for the occasion. While he filled the cups, he spoke, and she listened. He had explained that she deserved to be happy.. to have more than she was given..and that's when the tears won their battle.
It was all she wanted..to be happy. She had never wanted anyone to get hurt. If it was up to her, she would have never settled down and gotten married in the first place..this was the life she'd always wanted. However, Baelfire might have never been born..and that would have been the only tragedy. As the tears rolled down her cheeks, she still had a smile on her lips. "Killian..this is beautiful.." She took her glass of wine, but she hadn't taken a sip yet. "And I am happy.. I'm happier now than I ever have been. The only thing that would make this better would be Baelfire. But you... you make me happier than words could describe." She reached out, and lightly touched his cheek. "I'm the luckiest woman in the world."

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Witnessing the tears fall from her eyes caused him to pause for a moment, though he quickly recovered when he realized that they were tears of joy. Her words reinforcing this as she spoke of how happy she was with him. He continued to softly smile, feeling his heart swell with her telling him she was happy. That he made her happy. He loved her and her happiness was now all that mattered to him. So he would continue to do all he could to ensure that never changed. He moved his hand to her cheek, gently brushing away her tears with his thumb before just caressing her skin with this finger. "I will bring him to you, when the time is right," he promised her. It was something that had spoken of, but he wanted her to know that he would not forget. That he wanted to give her all she desired, including her son.
"And you make me feel like the luckiest man, Milah," he began to say, building the courage to say what he wanted to tonight. Never having told a woman he loved her before, he was unsure as to how this would play out. But he was willing to take that risk . . . because he could no longer hold back from admitting to her his true feelings. "I used to think that all there was to life was loot and drink." And women. But he figured it may kill the mood to mention that aspect of piracy he had embraced. "But you showed me that there is so much more to it. You opened by eyes to pleasures and emotions that I had not even believed were possible, nor was I capable of feeling." He had never thought he would fall in love. Perhaps when he had been a Lieutenant, he had envisioned his life with a wife and children . . . but not since Liam's death. Not until Milah entered his life. "You showed me what it was to love," he continued, now having stated the word, he could no longer go back on it. "Because I love you, Milah." And there it was. Perhaps the most vulnerable he would ever allow himself to be. But something about her did not cause him to be afraid in expressing this vulnerability. He wanted her to know how he felt . . . and desperately hoped that his instincts were not wrong. That it was not too soon to say the words, and of course, more than anything, he hoped she felt the same way about him.

She believed Killian when ha had told her that he would bring Baelfire to her when the timing was right.. for it was something that the two of them had spoken about before. However, tonight was not about her son, or her previous marriage..it was about the two of them. And it seemed that Killian had a reason behind all of this.. he wanted to tell her something. As he spoke to her about how he felt like the luckiest man, she smiled behind the tears while he wiped them away from her cheek so tenderly. He then went on to tell her more.. to tell her how she made him feel. It made her heart swell to hear how highly he thought of her. To be the person who showed him that there was more to life than the things that he had held so dear before she came along filled her with joy.. she was proud to be that person for him.
And then he told her that she taught him what it was like to love..and he said those words that every woman who Killian Jones met longed to hear from him..
Because I love you, Milah.
Milah took in a sharp breath, and felt her heart beating rapidly. She had been having the same feelings for quite some time, but was dreading saying them. She hadn't been told that she was loved, not like this, from a man in a very long time.. and she hadn't felt it even longer. Not until Killian. "Killian.. I'm so in love with you.." she confessed, gazing deeply in to his eyes.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Killian hadn't even realized he was holding his breath as he awaited her answer. It wasn't that she was married to another that caused him to think that she may not feel the same way. It could be possible that she didn't. There was always that chance. He never expressed these words for another, and feeling so much for her . . . made him realize that she, and only she, held his heart. Of course not in the literal sense, but more figuratively. Even if she did not say the words back, he would always love her and would never regret saying these three words to her.
He continued to wait, feeling each second feel like an eternity, though he wasn't at all certain of how much time had actually passed. Finally, she parted her lips to speak, and the words that came out were what Killian had longed to hear. She felt the same way; his feels were reciprocated. Words could not describe his utter joy in that moment. To tell a woman that he loved her, and to have that love returned by her . . . well, what more could he possibly ask for in this life? He had been happy with her, but now, this happiness was to an entirely new extent. Unable to find the words to say, he instead leaned forward until their lips met, kissing her deeply and affectionately, allowing his emotions to pour into the embrace where words had failed him in expressing himself as response to her perfect words.

This moment was no longer one for words. When she felt his lips against her's, she returned his kiss. She had placed her wine down on a solid surface, and she leaned in closer to kiss him deeper. She felt as though she were lighter than air.. Like she could fly if she really tried. Those words had been weighing on her for so long that now that they were spoken, it felt as though this had all been a dream. She leaned out of the kiss, just so she could look him over, and she smiled. "You're amazing.. and perfect..and everything I have ever wanted since I was a little girl." He had given her everything. Romance, adventure, love. "You're like something out of a dream, Killian Jones."
She lifted her wine glass, and held it out toward him. "We should make a toast. To happiness..and to love." That was the theme of the evening, was it not? Love. The one thing that Milah had hoped that she'd be able to feel.. for real.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hearing her speak of all that he was to her filled him with pride, joy, and honor. To be that man for her where others -- or certain others -- had failed in being so. Had the words come from any other woman, Killian would not have cared. In fact, he would have used it to further whatever purpose he had with them. But the fact that it was Milah -- his Milah -- saying these things, meant a great deal to him. "I am honored to be that man for you," he said, speaking aloud his thoughts. When it was just the two of them, he had no trouble opening himself up, speaking what was in his heart.
"You have taught me what it is to love and be loved; emotions that I never thought capable of. So for that, I thank you. And I will spend the rest of my life showing you just how strong my love is for you." They were pirates with an adventurous life, but what better way to spend these adventures than with the woman he loved. She then passed him a wine glass which he took in his hand, listening to her toast. Happiness and love. He quite liked that. To know she was now happy and that she loved him, made him feel overjoyed. "To embarking on the greatest adventure of all: a journey of love," he said, as he lightly touched her cup with his own before taking a sip. A journey of love was one that neither of them had been on before, and he was extremely excited to embark on such an adventure now.
