Liz is very much a tom boy. She always keeps her hair up so that it looks short, and she wears clothing that are usually fitted for men such as leather pants and vests, and long boots. he's also never without her favorite hat. She's usually seen in earthy colors like greens and browns, which is one of the reasons that her nickname Lizard seemed to fit her perfectly.

Even though she wants to be one of the guys, Liz has a dream of being looked at like a girl - at least by one person in particular. She's quite stubborn, and ambitious... mixed with her strong will, it's a dangerous combination. Liz believes that if she sets her mind to something, she can do anything.. as long as she keeps her eye on the prize.

Liz had led a hard life. Her family had once been composed of her father, mother, and eight siblings. As one of the middle children, it was easy for Liz to get lost in the fray.. not to mention her parents had never quite paid attention to her anyway. Her brothers were who she spent the most time with..she had never gotten quite close with her sisters, which is likely why she grew up to be such a tom boy. Eventually, once her brothers had gone away from home she grew tired of being completely ignored and so she ran away from home. The worst part was, no one knew or cared that she had been gone.
Being homeless on the streets of Wonderland was miserable. She was constantly on watch, for fear of making the wrong enemies. Luckily she was found by a man named Will Scarlett who took her under his wing, and took care of her. The poor man was shattered beyond repair by a woman named Anastasia.. commonly known as the Red Queen. Will and Elizabeth - who was given the nickname of Lizard - both became Collectors for the Caterpillar, and sharing in this, they grew very close...close enough that Liz fell in love with Will, but she never spoke of it out loud.
Things started to go horribly wrong when the Caterpillar gave her orders to bring the Knave of Hearts to him.. the Knave, the name, she recognized as the nickname of Will. She carried out her orders while Will was helping Alice to find her beloved Cyrus. She had managed to find Alice, and the two of them talked of their days before they became collectors. To Liz's dismay, they found Will.. only it was on a poster, declaring that he was to meet his death. Liz and Alice took it upon themselves to save him from his fate. However, after rescuing Will, they were foiled by the Red Queen and Jafar, who turned him in to a statue.
Later, after bathing in a river, Liz found a bottle from which she unsuspectingly released a genie.. a genie who happened to be Will himself. Of course Liz was shocked, but when she realized that she was going to be granted three wishes, she started to get excited. Maybe she could make him fall in love with her this way! And so, she started to make her wishes - despite the fact that he told her he couldn't make anyone fall in love against their will. Her first wish, was to look beautiful..with all of the qualities of a woman. That was when she admitted her feelings for Will. Since he couldn't reciprocate, she wished again..this time, it was an accident. She wished that he felt something..anything for her, and her wish was granted.
She lost her life, forcing Will back in to the bottle, making him feel utter guilt. But she got her wish.. she made him feel something.

Lizard couldn't understand why she couldn't be loved by the object of her affection. Sure, she wasn't feminine and curvy.. she didn't have pouty lips or big blue eyes.. but she was loyal. That should have been enough. She had thought a lot about Will Scarlett, and there was nothing she could do to get him to look at her the way he looked when he spoke about Anastasia..the one who got away. Maybe if she was more voluptuous she could get him to see her as something more than a friend..a little sister..one of the guys.
She stared at her reflection in a pond as she thought of things that could have been, but it was completely useless. A rock she held in her hand was soon skipped across the water's surface leaving ripples in it's wake. Although this was relaxing, she felt herself tense at the thought about telling Will her true feelings. Maybe one day it would be time..but this was not that day. Speaking of the Knave, she lifted her head when she heard 'Liz' being called out from the distance. "Coming," she called back, lifting herself off of the grass. Apparently it was time for work..otherwise Will would have been doing something other than looking for her.
