you don't become A PIRATE CAPTAIN THROUGH MERCY They had finally made it. This bloody island had not been easy to find, but that was partly why Killian was so determined to locate it. He always loved a good challenge. And if the rumors were true, then this particular had quite a lot of loot that he and his men could take. The journey had been long, but such was the life of a pirate. Hook had been peering through his telescope, announcing the land up ahead as the men prepared the boat for shore. As far as Killian could tell first hand, it was deserted. Heavily wooded with trees and therefore, it was more than likely that there was wildlife lurking about.
Once they secured his ship, Killian stepped onto the sandy shore, taking in his surroundings as the rest of his men joined him. "We made it lads!" He began to say, smiling with pride as they accomplished their mission . . . well, mostly. "Now let's go find us some treasure!" His words were responded to with cheers and ayes from his men, as they all withdrew their swords and began cutting any vine or branch that stood in their way as they delved into the forestry of the island.

He knew what a boat was, even if he didn't know how to speak. Or not speak well. The only thing the last humans had taught him was his name. Tarzan. But he was not a boat. He was whatever they were. Only they walked on the ground only, and he was currently above them in the trees, moving with them as they walked around. Every now and then, a coconut would 'fall' on one of their heads, and Tarzan would duck back out of sight while laughing, and picking his next target.
They were causing so much noise, something was going to hear. Leopards owned these hunting grounds, which was why he wasn't on the ground. Sneeky bastards leopards were. They smelled too. Not like the forest, and not quite like the sea. They stood out. Loud, smelly, children. Picking another coconut, Tarzan chucked it at the man who lead them--the one dressed in the colors of the night--and aimed for his head before ducking back again.

you don't become A PIRATE CAPTAIN THROUGH MERCY As they trudged forward, there was an absurd number of coconuts that fell from the trees. Hook could accurately describe it as absurd, for it seemed that every time one fell, it was conveniently aimed at the heads of his men. Every now and then, Hook could hear an Ow! or an Ouch! from his crew behind him. He could also hear rustling from above them which also indicated that an animal thought it was being wise by tossing down these coconuts. Killian had even picked one up, pierced it with his hook, and drank the milk from it, tossing it back down when it was empty. But it seemed that more and more coconuts just kept falling.
Hook finally stopped and spun around to face his crew. "Quit your whining, boys," he told them. "They're just coconuts. Man up." Had he not been so distracted, perhaps he would have been prepared for it . . . but he wasn't. And soon enough, while staring at his crew, he felt something bonk him on the head. He remained still for a moment, before his face slightly scrunched up for a moment. He raised his hand to his head and rubbed the stop that the fruit had fallen on.
"Bloody monkeys!" He cursed, as that seemed to be the most logical answer as to what creature could climb the trees and toss things from such heights. Having had enough, Hook grabbed a large stick, used the metal of his hand replacement, and sparked a flame, causing the stick to catch fire. He then waved it about, letting the smoke rise up to ward off the creatures. "That out to teach you," he mumbled as he continued on forward, continuing to cut through the branches and vines in his way with his hook.

Tarzan didn't understand the words but he did understand the anger there! Laughing to himself, he moved to a different tree, and watched as the man made fire! It was then he noticed he had an funny hand! How had he made fire? It mattered not, fire was going to get everyone killed! Tarzan swung down and landed on the ground.
Sometimes a storm would come and a fire would start. It would burn everything in it's path until the rain could put it out. Moving up to the man with the fire, Tarzan let out a hiss as he got close--a warning he was there--before reaching to take the fire so he could stick it in some near by mud to put it out.

you don't become A PIRATE CAPTAIN THROUGH MERCY One moment they were walking, trying to avoid falling coconuts . . . and the next, there was a man standing directly in their path. Hook ever so slightly jumped at the unexpected presence. "Bloody hell mate! Where the devil did you come from?" From the looks of it . . . oh bloody hell, he was naked. Hook turned his head to the side, not wanting to see that.
The distraction had even been enough to allow the man to take the makeshift torch he had created to ward off monkeys . . . though realization finally dawned upon him that it may not have been monkeys after all. It could have very well been him. Looking around, Hook picked up a coconut and passed it to the man. "Here. A coconut for your . . . well, you get the idea." He said, extending the fruit so that he could cover his privates. He should be clunking the man on the head with a coconut for revenge, but that would make him have to look at his undressed state and . . . well, Hook didn't exactly enjoy doing that, unless it was a woman.

Turning back from the mud, Tarzan found the man offering him a one of the coconuts he and thrown. Reaching for it, Tarzan looked at it then tossed it at the man's head once again, enjoying the sound of it bouncing off. Play like this was normal with his brothers, the apes.
The man wasn't looking at him so Tarzan leaned forward and sniffed the thing that covered the man. It was slick and the color of the night. Why did he wear it over himself? What purpose did it serve? Tarzan jerked on it to see how strong it was. How odd.

you don't become A PIRATE CAPTAIN THROUGH MERCY Instead of using the rounded fruit to cover himself, he chucked the coconut at Killian's head. Well, he had just about enough of this. And to add to his irritation, the man was sniffing him and pulling at his jacket. How long had he been here for? Clearly long enough to go bloody insane. Hook elbowed the stranger in the chin, in attempt to draw him back, even if it was just a couple of steps. He then quickly withdrew his sword once again, pointing the tip of his blade at the man's throat.
"Listen mate, just because you are clearly lacking clothing, does not mean I'm going to give you mine." That was after all why he had been tugging at his jacket, wasn't it? "Now why don't you do something useful and tell me how many of you there are here," he demanded. Was he by himself? Was there a whole tribe of them? Killian needed to know because it would of course play a part on obtaining the treasure that was rumored to be here. He had heard this island was deserted so he had not expected to find any human forms on it. Animals, yes. But not nude people running about.

Ow! The man elbowed him in the face and then pointed something long and shiny at him. Tarzan had seen something like it before, only golden. Reaching forward he touched it, but unlike the other one which was not sharp, this one cut his finger. Jerking his hand back, Tarzan looked confused as he sucked on his finger. That was dangerous!
Hissing he took a step backwards. Just then their was a rustle from the men behind them as one of the leopards finally attacked. Tarzan turned and jumped into a tree, and made a warning sound. The men were being hunted.

Note: I wasn't sure if you had anything planned with the leopard, so let me know if you'd like me to edit my post!
you don't become A PIRATE CAPTAIN THROUGH MERCY Killian was really starting to wonder whether this man had any idea of what he was telling him. He seemed rather daft. Touching the blood that inevitably resulted in a cut and then hissing as he moved back. What kind of savage was he? A rustle from behind caused Killian to abruptly turn his head to see the source of the sound. Perhaps it was one of his men having wandered off, but that theory was soon disproved. It was a leopard. Hook could see his men getting into flight mode. "Don't run!" He immediately warned them.
"It'll only take you for prey and chase after you. And you won't make it far before it catches you." The men slowly moved off to the side as the leopard stepped more into the clearing. It moved forward like a predator, slowly, inching it's way toward him. A sinister smile formed on Hook's face, unafraid by any danger that presented itself toward him. "Here kitty kitty kitty," he called to it. Hook began to circle around it as it mirrored his actions. His sword was still held out in front of him. If the damn monkey man hadn't taken his stick, he would have still had his fire to ward off the beast.
Narrowing his eyes on the animal Killian readied himself and soon enough, the creature leaped toward him. The pirate was ready for it. At the beast pounced on him, he positioned his book and blade directly into the leopard's throat, instantly killing him as the creature landed on top of the captain. Killian grunted at the weight of the animal atop of him. "Cap'n?" He heard one of his crew men ask hesitantly, as if seeing whether Hook was dead.
"Well don't just stand there you useless gutter rats, help me get it off." A few of the men rushed toward him and as Hook pushed the beast off, they pulled it, simultaneously allowing Killian to pull his hook and blade out of the animal. As he got to his feet, he looked around for the monkey man, his gaze leading him upward as he looked to see if he was among the trees. "Thanks for the help, mate!" He called out sarcastically. Not that Hook needed his help. But still.

Tarzan watched and waited for the kill but in the end it wasn't who he thought would die. The tool the man used killed the cat! Tarzan wanted it! Jumping down, he watched the men pull the cat off him, and Tarzan decided he wanted the cat too. Kills were a prize here. "Mit" Tarzan repeated the last word he heard the man say, trying to copy the sounds exactly--accent and all.
Lifting his hand to his chest he beat it on a few times. "Tarzan." He knew his name, but most other words were unknown to him. Like this 'mate' word. What did this mean? Reaching for the sword, Tarzan touched it again, this time with care. Pinching the blade rather then wrapping his hand around it, Tarzan gave a small tug, trying to take it. "Tarzan." Mine, was what he was meaning his name to mean.

you don't become A PIRATE CAPTAIN THROUGH MERCY Killian brushed himself off and looked at the man as he leaped back into the scene. "Ah. Decided to return now that the threat is eliminated?" He asked rhetorically. "Thanks for the help, mate," he added on with sarcasm. He didn't need his help, but still. The man then spoke of a mitt and Killian just eyed him, slightly raising an eyebrow. "Sorry, I'm fresh out," he responded mockingly.
"Now unless you are going to lead us to the treasure, I suggest you get out of my way before I gut you like I did that leopard." But the man then began to beat on his chest like an ape . . . and say the word Tarzan. Killian looked at him. "Tarzan," he repeated. "I take it that's your name," he added on as both a question and a statement. He would have stated more had the man not began to reach and give a little tug at his sword, repeating his name once again.
Killian was really starting to get the feeling that this man didn't speak any English at all. Hook pulled his sword back, attempting to get it out of the man's reach. "I out to run you through," he stated, assuming that this monkey man was going to have no idea what he was saying. Hook moved the tip of the blade to the man's chin, now that he had lay witness to just what Hook could do with his sword. "You know what this is. You know what it can do. Now move out of my way." Hook was past asking him nicely.
