.:Physical Appearance:. It depends. Rumplestiltskin has two looks. In Storybrooke he looks like a middle aged man, with some wrinkles, though not many. He has longer brown hair down to his shoulders with amber eyes and normal caucasian skin tone. He is usually spotted wearing a nice suit and purple tie while in Storybrooke. In the Enchanted Forest, his skin color changes to a light scaly green color, resembling a crocodile or lizard. Though his hair stays the same, his eyes take on a more animal appearance matching his skin, he usually wears leather tunics or a puffy shirt and vest in the Enchanted Forest.

.:Personality:. Depends on what mood he is in when you interact with him. In general however, he is incredibly cunning. He often calls people by the pet nickname of "dearie". He is smart, charismatic, and can even be charming when he wants to be, especially when it comes to getting a deal done. He can be incredibly ruthless and will often times stop at nothing to get what he wants. He doesn't have many soft spots, he for the longest time did everything he could to reunite with his long lost son Baelfire, regretting letting him go in the first place. He also has a soft spot for Belle, whom despite himself, he has fallen in love with her. He can be secretive, often not showing his feelings or his intentions until the right time.
.:Strengths:. Rumplestiltskin is one of the strongest magic users in the world. He also prides himself on being very cunning, often thinking he is the smartest one in the room.

.:History:. Rumplestiltskin was born a peasent, raised mainly by a man named Malcolm, his father. One day, his father cheated in a card game, but when the other players found out they attacked and took all of their money, leaving them broke. His father dropped him off to live with some wool spinners so that he could look for work. Later Rumplestiltskin finds out his father was really off getting drunk. They give him a magic bean so he can leave this land for another land, however Rumplestiltskin runs to find his father. They use the bean to reach Neverland, where Rumple is grabbed by The Shadow, instead of fighting for his son, Malcolm lets go of him and turns into a young boy, Peter Pan. Rumple is dropped off back at the spinsters upset.
When Rumple grows up, he marries Milah and the two soon have a son, but Rumple is drafted to fight in the Ogre war, where a seer whom he is guarding tells him he will die on the field in battle. Not wanting to die, leaving his family behind, so he intentionally injures himself so he can return home. His wife, disgusted at his cowardice never loves him again. She soon runs away with the Pirate Captain, Hook, Rumple tells his son, Baelfire that his mother had been killed. Years pass, and another Ogre war breaks out, this time they are desperate enough to use children. Fearing for Baelfires life, they run into the forest, but are bullied by two royal knights. After the knights leave, an elderly mysterious man approaches them offering them another solution.
Rumple is to steal a magical dagger from The Dukes castle, with the dagger, Rumple can control The Dark One. He summons the Dark One, and after the Dark One taunts him, Rumple ends up stabbing him with the dagger. It is revealed the mysterious old man is indeed the Dark One, Zoso, having killed the Dark One with his Dagger, the powers were transferred to Rumple, making him the new Dark One, he returns home, kills the two knights that mocked him and his son and begins his reign as The Dark One. One day Baelfire is lured by the sound of a flute playing and Rumple discovers that it was his own father Peter Pan who took Baelfire to Neverland.
Rumple wants him and Baelfire to be a family, so he ends up ending the Ogre war by brokering a treaty, but his mind soon becomes corrupted with the power. Baelfire returns to him with a magic bean that could take them to a land without magic, and that if Rumple gave up his magic, they can be a family again. When Baelfire opens the portal, Rumple does not follow, but tries to pull Baelfire back to The Enchanted forest. He ends up letting go of Baelfire. He regrets it almost instantly and for the next long while it becomes his only goal to reunite with his son once again. Years pass as Rumple continues to search for a way to find his long lost son, he ends up running into Hook and his men once more.
They end up mocking him, but when Rumple reveals himself as the new Dark One, they soon change their tune. Milah shows up to stop the fight and the next day he meets them on Hook's ship. Rumple questions Milah why she would leave their son like that, but when she admits that she never loved him, he rips her heart out and kills her. As she lays dying in Hooks arms, he then cuts off Hook's hand, thinking that he has a magic bean in it, but later finds out that the bean is missing. Still trying to find his way back to his son, he ends up helping The Millers daughter, Cora spin straw into gold so she can marry King Xavier. The payment? Cora's first born child. They end up falling in love and they purpose to run away together, however, she betrays him and gets out of their deal for her first born child as all she was really after was power.
Years pass, after getting a farming couple to give up one of their sons to King George and a few other deals, he is eventually summoned by Regina, Cora's daughter. He begins instructing Regina on how to use magic but soon he finds out about Zelena who claims to be the real first born of Cora. and he begins teaching her too, but Zelena soon becomes jealous over Regina, she tells him she has a pair of slippers that can take him to the land without magic, but she rejects his deal and Rumple moves on to training only Regina after this. He continues to train Regina, but she soon decides she doesn't know if she wants to resume her lessons, they get into an arguement and Rumple tells her she can't choose between love and the darkness, because the darkness will consume her. He leaves her at her request but continues to scheduele lessons for her, urging her to attend them.
Many years pass, Rumple finds out the other farm couples son is now a Sheppard, David. After many years of being the Dark One, he has made a lot of money and soon grows lonely, so he makes a deal to protect Sir Maurice's kingdom from Ogres in exchange for his daughter Belle to be his castle's caretaker. He is soon robbed by a hooded thief and he ends up capturing him, Robin Hood. He locks him up and begins torturing him daily, but one day Belle ends up freeing Hood. Rumple, angry at the situation, forces Belle to come with him so that she can watch Rumple kill Robin Hood. They track down the Sheriff of Nottingham to get info on where Hood was and When they find Robin Hood, he is meeting a sickly pregnant women in the woods. Rumple is reminded of his own son Baelfire, and spares Robin Hoods life. When they return to his castle, he brings Belle to his large library and tells her to clean it up, though she suspects the room is for her.
One day, on his son's birthday, Belle notices him lighting a candle in remembrance and begins asking questions. He answers that the person he is remembering is not dead, only missing, she tells him that their is still hope that it is not to late, though Rumple says that his ending he doesn't think will be a happy one. King George's son, the one Rumple got for him from the poor farm couple, has been killed. George begs to bring his son back, but Rumple admits no magic is powerful enough for that, however, he can give them David, the other twin, who can masquerade as King Georges son. He shortly after this, gives a spell to Regina, one that will transport all of them to the land without magic, hoping that she would use it, cause the spell requires the heart of the one you love most, and since Baelfire, the person Rumple is trying to get to, is the one he loves the most, he himself can not perform the spell.
Belle has been his maid for several months now and he lets her go to town to get him straw, though he believes he would never see her again. Though both he and she are shocked when she ends up returning, she sees good in him and she ends up giving him a kiss, true love's kiss, and he begins reverting back to human form. Rumple, mistakingly, thinks Belle is working for Regina and soon casts her out of his castle, choosing power over love. After awhile, Queen Regina comes to him and tells him that Belle had killed herself because of her father locking her in a tower. Rumple is visibly upset at these lies, but is still able to call the Queen a liar and tells her to leave him where the cup that Belle broke on her first day as his maid is the only token he has left of his love.
Shortly after all this, Gold tracks down the fairy god mother as she is about to grant Cinderella's wish to go to the ball, and he kills the fairy god mother and takes her wand. He makes a deal with Cinderella to give her exactly what her fairy god mother was about to give her, but at the cost of something "precious." Cinderella agrees to it and he grants her wish. She soon marries her Prince he returns to inform her that his price was her first born child. He soon makes a few new deals, all of which are to have Ragina inact the curse. The first, he gives Snow White a potion to make her forget about Prince Charming for a few of her hairs to make a true love potion. After this, he gives the potion to Charming, after they fight, telling him to "leave it in the belly of a beast".
A while later Cinderella calls him back and tells him that she is pregent but is in fact having twins and wants to make a new deal. He hesitantly agrees to it, but it was a trick and he becomes a prisoner of Prince Charming. While in prison, paralyzed by squid ink, he continues to push Regina to use the Dark Curse. When Regina finally cast's her curse on the land, Gold is also taken to Storybrooke, but thanks to the deal he made with Regina, telling her how to successfully cast the spell after her inital try failed, he is given a life of riches in the new land. Gold becomes a pawnbroker. He is asked one day by Regina to help him find a child for her to adopt and she ends up adopting Henry, who is the real son of Emma, the "savior" of Storybrooke. For 28 years, he like the rest of Storybrooke are under the curse until Emma Swann breaks it.
Mr. Gold had gotten Ashley(who was Cinderella) to sign away her unborn child for adoption, however, when he catches her stealing the papers from his shop, she pepper sprays him and knocks his head and passes out. When he awakes, he gets Emma to help him track down Ashley, who is now going into labor. When he comes to the hospital to collect the child, Emma says she will do him a future favor if he leaves Ashley alone, which he agrees to. As Mr. Gold is awaiting Emma to fully break the curse, giving them back all their memories, he gets into quite a few deals. First, he helps Emma regain being sheriff after Regina fires her, then he makes Kathryn, David's(Charmings) wife disapear so that it looks like Mary Margaret(Snow White) did it, so that Regina would help him get out of Jail for physical battery charges that he got when he beat a flower delivery driver for stealing Belle's broken tea cup.
He then offers to be Snow White's attonery in her upcoming murder trial, after she accidentally admits to wanting Kathryn gone, which they think is a murder confession, he drugs and releases Kathryn whom Emma discovers wondering the streets. With Snow seemingly off the hook, Regina accuses him of backing out of their deal, but he says their deal was that something tragic would happen to Kathryn, since kidnapping fits the bill, then he upheld his end of the bargain. He then catches August Booth sneaking into his shop and thinks that he is his long lost son Baelfire, but he is not. When Regina plans on getting rid of Emma by putting her under the sleeping curse, Mr Gold warns her that there will be consequences for doing magic, the consequences turn out to be the fact that Henry is the one that eats the poison all turnover, not Emma.
Emma, after having Henry rushed to the hospital, she asks Gold for help, he tells her that a true love potion is in the belly of a beast and it will heal Henry. However, he ends up taking the potion for himself leaving Emma to struggle to find a way to save Henry. Later in his shop, as he is examining the potion, a customer enters his shop, only it is not a customer, it is Belle herself, asing him for help that he could protect her. She doesn't recognize him at first and he agrees to protect her after breaking down and crying and hugging her. He then takes her to the wishing well with the potion. Emma ends up kissing Henry, enacting True loves kiss, thus breaking the curse on Storybrooke finally. Rumple pours the true love potion into the wishing well and a purple cloud comes over Storybrooke, magic has returned to town.
With the curse broken, Belle remembers him and tells him that she loves him. She then asks him to not seak vengeance on Regina, but he summons a Wraith to hunt her down, but the Wraith is sucked into another world by Jefferson's hat. Belle realizes that she has to be a good influence on him, so she doesn't give up on him. Mr Gold does not give up on finding his son, but since if he crosses the towns border he will lose his memory, he can not search for him at first. He finally finds a potion that would work, one you pour on your most prized pocession, but before he can use it, Belle needs his help. She was attacked by Hook, his old enemy. He tracks down Hook and beats him up, but Belle pleads with him to stop. Belle and him drive to the town line to see if the potion works, but after Gold passes, his memories still intact, Belle gets shot by Hook and falls over the town line, losing her memories, the scene leads to a car crashing into Storybrooke.
Rumple ends up trying to get Belle to regain her memories, but she does not remember who he is. Having failed, he moves on with his plans to try and find Baelfire, with the help of Cora, Regina's mother, he finds out Baelfire's location is New York. Gold cashes in his favor with Emma by asking her to take him to New York, which she does. While in New York, they find out that Baelfire is in fact Neal Cassidy, the man that Emma had Henry with, making Henry Golds grandson. Neal is hesitant to trust his father again, but soon Mr Gold is poisoned by Hook, so Neal, Emma and Henry take Hook's ship to get Gold back to Storybrooke where there is magic so he can be saved. He gets Mary Margaret to save his life by taking Cora's life as well, giving him another chance to reconcile with his son once and for all.
After figuring out that Henry will be his "undoing" he thinks he has to kill him in order to stop that from happening, but he doesn't. Infact when Malcolm/Peter Pan takes Henry to Neverland, Gold is one of the first to want to go to rescue him. They finally save Henry from Peter Pan, but unknown to them, Peter Pan transferred himself into Henry and is now pretending to be Henry. Pan wants to enact another curse, sending them all back to The Enchanted forest, all but Henry and Emma that is. Gold ends up stabbing Malcolm, and himself, claiming that cause he is a villain, and they don't get happy endings. Both him and Malcolm vanish, but the spell has already been cast and there is no stopping it.
While everyone is returned to The Enchanted forest, Belle and Baelfire tries to find a way to save Rumple, which she trusts a magic candle and uses a black liquid to recreate Rumple and his dagger, but it will kill Baelfire, before this happens, Rumple takes Baelfire into him to keep him from dying. Rumple is then taken prisoner by Zelena, who now has his dagger. She controls the Dark One, and puppets him around, making her do his bidding until Emma, using her powers of light, stop the Wicked Witch once and for all, freeing Rumple of her control. But, Emma magically seperrated Baelfire from Gold and Baelfire dies in Rumple's arms. Gold turns to Belle now, heatbroken over his sons death, he and Belle end up getting Married, not wanting to spoil the birth of The Charmings son by telling people right away they keep it secret. Meanwhile, a magical being who uses ice magic, Elsa, escapes from the past and has come to Storybrooke in search of her sister Anna.| ~ • ~ | Sample Post | ~ • ~ |
Gold really hated leaving Belle home the morning after their marriage was finally made official, but he had to go to the shop to check on a few things. Of course the first thing he did was open the safe and removed the spell on his dagger, holding it in its box. He had to check to make sure it was still there. He was paranoid about it ever since Zelena got her hands on it and didn't want it ever falling into the wrong hands. After checking it, he decided to make sure everything else was in order in his shop before returning home for an early lunch with his bride.
Opening the front door he noticed that it got cold overnight. Far colder then it was normal for this time of year in Storybrooke. Paying very little mind to it he finally walked home and opened his front door. When he returned, he spotted Belle reading a book with a cup of tea and he smiled at her. He approached her. "Reading anything good dearie?" He asked her casually, his smile being quite grinny on his face. He felt like the luckiest man on the planet to have finally married Belle. Though you could make a case for Charming having just had his second kid being the luckiest man.
"I thought maybe you would like to accompany me to Granny's diner for lunch?" He asked her, sitting down next to her on the couch. His smile kinda faded a little when he realized that this wasn't how most couples spent their first morning, that they should be off to some exotic place right now, but they couldn't. They couldn't leave town as who knows what will happen now? Though he doubted flying monkeys would come down and turn them into a flying monkey, it still wasn't safe to pass the towns border just yet. Gold will find a way to fix this, to make sure it was safe, but for now they had to wait.
