Persephone needed to get away from the bustle of every day life, so she took a walk in to the woods. There were several nice streams that she had checked out previously, and now was a great time to go relax and maybe get a drink. Of course she was a human so to other humans it would look odd.. But for most of her life, she was in the body of a unicorn. She still had some of the habits of her equestrian self. She made sure no one was paying attention, and she knelt down at the stream, cupping the water with her hands and drinking from it. It felt good to not have to keep her guard up. She felt safe in the woods. Like she could be anyone or anything she wanted to.
She was basking in the glow of the moonlight, figuring that she'd be safe here at night without anyone seeing her, when she heard a noise. She lowered her hands, and peered through the darkness. It was easy to see, since she had excellent vision in the dark, that there was someone doing much the same as she was. She lowered her hands, and moved closer, deciding to crawl toward the person instead of standing up. "Don't tell me.. you were a dog in another life?" She asked bluntly. Well, she was busted drinking straight from the stream.. no reason to hide it. "Don't worry. I'm not here to judge. I was doing the same thing, actually." Normally she would have mocked the stranger.. but she was caught wet handed too.

notes: the darkness to his light!
| He missed his former self. He missed walking on all fours with hooves to protect him. He missed the height and strength he had as a horse. But most importantly, he missed his wings most of all. He missed soaring through the clouds and being as free as a bird. He had tried to do that here. He'd climbed a tree and spread his arms, jumping into the shallow water before if only to feel the breeze . . . though it had not ended well.
He hadn't broken anything and fortunately no one was around to witness this rather humiliating act. Apparently, it was not socially acceptable. Just as what he was doing right now wasn't either. He was currently on all fours at the side of a river, dipping his head in to drink directly into his mouth. It felt more normal to do it like this and well, he wanted to feel normal. Everything right now felt . . . abnormal. Extremely, incredibly, utterly abnormal.
A voice from the darkness pulled him from his thoughts and he leaped back in surprise. "Sweet son of Poisiden!" He stated, as an expression of his shock. "Even though he didn't have a son, the expression still stands," he said, correcting himself though really, it was due to his flustered feelings of being caught doing something that most others . . . alright, that no one else here did. To hear her say that she was doing the same peaked his interest. She. Her. It was a woman. And Sky found himself staring.
He had enough trouble explaining his odd actions to others, but he grew all the more flustered around a pretty woman and she . . . was, well, gorgeous. As Pegasus, perhaps he would not have felt the strange strong attraction he did as a man. Though he supposed some of the features were common; nice hair -- or mane --, beautiful eyes, nice legs . . . oh dear. He was staring. He should say something. Clearing his throat he quickly scrambled to his feet, trying to save whatever element of suave he could. "I wasn't a dog," he confirmed.
"But I wasn't exactly human either." Not exactly?! How was one not exactly human . . . he needed to speak better. "You were also drinking from the stream?" He asked, surprised to hear this but pleasantly so. "Were you a dog?" He asked, wondering if that sounded rude. "I mean, in your former life. Well, before the curse anyway." Damn him and his inability to talk properly! He needed to get a hold of himself.

The poor boy was freaked out. She couldn't blame him, though. Someone sneaks up on you in the middle of the night while you're drinking out of a stream.. it's kind of creepy. And pretty embarrassing. Not to mention, she was sure that he was struck by her beauty.. why wouldn't he be? She gave him a smile and she lifted her hand, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "You weren't a dog but you weren't exactly a human. Your enigma keeps getting more and more fascinating.." She mused as the corners of her mouth tugged in to a grin. She was trying to be sarcastic, but in reality, she really was intrigued. He then asked her if -she- was a dog. She responded with a small shrug. "When I had to be."
She didn't have to give him an explanation..but she continued anyway. "But usually I was a unicorn. A black unicorn.. Majestic..graceful...and now," She quietly laughed. "Now i'm still all of those things without the horn." Again, normally, this would be something she'd say in a cocky manner..but now she was actually teasing. What was it about this guy? She couldn't bring herself to be rude to him. Maybe she felt sorry that he was so scatterbrained..or maybe, it was something else. Something that she certainly didn't want to explore. And so, she brushed it off as feeling sorry for the poor boy. Sure..that was it.
"I was enchanted to be a companion. But that's another tale for another time." She tilted her head slightly as she gazed over the top of his head. "I've never met anyone with hair like that before...I kind of like it."

| She called him out on his inconsistent answer and well, he felt a bit silly for stating it like that. "Let's just go with, I wasn't human," he said solidly, giving a slightly sheepish smile. He also knew she was being sarcastic and he could of course appreciate good humor now and then. At least she wasn't rudely mocking him, since he had given her plenty of ammo . . . so for that, he was quite grateful. She then answered his question, saying that she was a dog when she had to be. How fascinating! Did she have powers that enabled her to shapeshift?! Change forms when--- Ohhh. Wait. Now he understood.
"Is that . . . often?" He asked, not sure if it was an appropriate question but felt the need to respond to her statement one way or another. Her next revelation caused him to stare with a bit of awe. She was . . . a unicorn?! Now that, was intriguing. Especially considering who or what he had been before the curse. He had never met anyone here who understood him; who knew what it was like to go from such a specific form to a human . . . until now. Now, he finally found someone who could relate to him, and who he could relate to.
"You are," he said in his state of being mesmerized by her. "I mean . . . well, actually, I do mean that." Why correct himself when she deserved the praise? There was something utterly captivating about her. "Who's companion?" He asked curiously, suddenly wanting to know as much about her as he possibly could, not even realizing that he'd failed to introduce himself or what he had been to make this shared commonality known between both of them and not just him.
"Sounds like you have quite the past," he said, meaning it as more of a compliment rather than an insult. He hope it came across the way he intended it to! She then spoke of his hair and he consciously ran a hand through it, giving a bit of a smile. "You do?" He asked, surprised by her compliment but also flattered by it. He then reached into his pocket to pull out a packet of brown hair dye.
"I was going to try to do change it tonight. No matter how many times I dye it, it always fades after a day or so." He looked at her, suddenly getting an idea. "You wouldn't know how to dye hair, would you?" But she had said she liked it . . . maybe he would leave it after all. It wasn't that he was ashamed of it, he had just been told by many to dye it because he looked out of place. That, and he'd been called a lollipop head. He'd been here long enough to know what a lollipop was and the term wasn't a flattering one at all.

Clearly she hadn't yet offended this guy, because he was sticking around. She was actually enjoying his company..which was a little alarming. She was too guarded for this sort of thing.. Having conversations - nice ones - with strangers.. it just wasn't like her. Still though, she kept the conversation rolling. He asked if she was often a dog..and she laughed once more, shaking her head. "No. It wasn't often." Actually, she had never really been a dog. Filthy beasts.. she was never a fan of them.. Or wolves, for that matter.
He then agreed with her tease about how she was majestic and graceful.. and she actually started to blush. She kept it hidden as much as possible, though. Thank the gods for the moon. "I'm flattered." She lifted a hand and brushed her hair that had fallen back in to her face, behind her ear. "Well," she started, when he asked who's companion she was. "Have you ever heard of Maleficent? If you have.. I promise. She's not as bad as you'd think." Well, she was..but she had her reasons. Everyone had their reasons, right? "And I did have quite a past.." If he only knew the half of it. She pulled her hair back in to a pony tail again, and she lowered her lips to the cool water in the stream, drinking from it directly. They'd already caught each other. No secrets.
When he had asked her if she knew how to dye hair, she lifted her head, and wiped her chin with the back of her hand. "I've dyed hair before." Her own. She had tried before, as every girl had.. but she fancied herself in black more than anything. The most drastic she'd done was make it brown. "I can help you.. but, honestly? I don't think that you should hide it." She leaned forward, and lightly brushed her fingers over the blue hair. "It makes you unique."

| She stated that it wasn't often and . . . well, he supposed he was relieved to hear that? He still wasn't sure if he understood the connotation but he was going to pretend that he did, not wanting to seem more like an idiot than he already had presented himself to be in front of her. She then told him that she was flattered and that caused him to brightly smile. "Well, I'm flattered you're flattered," he told her truthfully. Something told him that he wasn't the first guy to ever compliment her, and he most likely wasn't the first to flatter her . . . but he was still glad to have been able to do so.
Hearing Maleficent's name caused instant recognition. He had never met her but had heard stories of her. She was a powerful being, and rumors said that she had the ability to turn into a dragon. Was this woman a hero or villain then? Sky didn't want to judge for she seemed incredibly nice -- among many other things -- and he found himself to be enjoying her company a great deal.
"I've heard of her, and that she's incredibly powerful." He decided to stick with the positives, rather than focus on the other rumors he'd heard of her villainous tendencies. "It's good that you have a companion like her. Someone you're close to." His was of course Hercules, but he had yet to find him in this world. "Is she here in this world?" He asked, wanting to know more about who she considered to be her family.
He watched her with intrigue, cocking his head to the side as she drank from the stream the way he had drank from it. It was very comforting to know that she truly had not judged him . . . having literally done it so herself. Realizing that he was just staring at her, her words pulled him back into the present. He knew it was rude to stare, but he couldn't help it with her! He hadn't met anyone as entrancing as her. "Really?" He asked, more to her question rather than statement of how she had dyed hair before. "People here don't think it looks normal. And some of them seem to thrive on normalcy." What was normal really. Some of them were animals from another world in human form . . . that certainly couldn't be deemed normal!
He froze when her hand moved to his hair, watching her intently, her fingers providing a rather pleasurable sensation -- more than anyone else who had ever stroked his mane. He gave a shy smile to her, taking in her words. "Then I think I'll leave it." Ifs he liked it; if she thought the uniqueness it provided was a good thing. "Just promise you won't call me lollipop head," he said teasingly, getting increasingly distracted by her hand in his hair. He was far too shy to touch her in return . . . not even sure where he would since he was far from a pervert.

Persephone definitely wasn't unfamiliar with men. She had her lustful dalliances from time to time in the Enchanted Forest, and held no shame in it. This guy, however, was completely different. He seemed like he was a few fries short of a happy meal, but he was sweet, and cute. It was different than her normal trysts... so much so that she wasn't even looking at him with those lustful eyes right now. Instead, she was seeing him in a light that she'd never seen anyone. It freaked her out, and she wanted to ignore it..but it was a little difficult.
"Maleficent is here.. Yes." She wasn't, for awhile. In fact, until recently, she was dead. "And she is powerful. I'm going to be honest with you, though..." That was never Persephone's strong suit. Ever. "I'd stay away from her if I were you. She's kind to me, but not so much to most other people. She raised me..so I guess I see her differently than everyone else does." Maleficent would never hide her sinister ways, so why would Persephone hide it for her? Maleficent would be proud to let her villainous flag fly. In fact, she did it frequently.
She noticed he was staring..but that was okay, because she was rambling. Also, very out of character. She was someone completely different around this guy, and she didn't even know his name! It was very odd.. and she wasn't sure if she liked these new changes. As she continued to stroke his hair, he commented that he'd leave it as it was...but she was still stuck on him speaking of what was normal. "Who cares about what other people think? You're you.. and you shouldn't hide it. I'm glad you're keeping it." She lowered her hand away from his hair, and she stared in to his eyes. "Hm.. you shouldn't have given me that idea if you don't want to be called lollipop head." She teased with a small grin.
"So..if not that..then what -do- I call you?" Persephone inquired with a quirk of a brow.

| She confirmed that Maleficent was here and . . . well, he knew that couldn't entirely be a good thing. Having villains in town didn't exactly make it easy for the hero types. His thoughts coincided with her next words, warning him to stay clear of her for she was quite selective over who she showed kindness to. "Thanks for the warning," he said with genuine gratitude. "She's not planning to, hurt other people . . . is she?" It was in his nature to want to help people, something that he and Hercules did. Hercules was a hero and Pegasus enjoyed the reward of helping another. It was never about the fame for them -- though that certainly hadn't hurt things.
If Hercules was here, he knew he wouldn't be able to stand by and let someone get hurt. If only Pegasus knew where he was so that he could help him, for they were all the more strong together. "I can understand that," he told her, knowing what it was like to develop a family and have a strong sense of loyalty to them. "Do you have any other family here?" He wondered. Whether it be blood relatives or family of heart. Her actions didn't cease and he was glad for that as he was quite enjoying it, having to refrain from closing his eyes from the serene effect it had on him. Fortunately, the conversation -- and of course everything about her -- was keeping his full attention. She told him that he shouldn't care about what other people thought . . . that he shouldn't hide who he really was.
"You're right," he agreed, her logic sound and making it impossible to refute. He agreed with her of course, even if his former question had not reflected that. "This place is just so odd. I never know what to expect from the people here. Don't you find that about this place?" The Entire Enchanted Forest was condensed into one small town with no escape. It was a lot of people to deal with and a lot of issues that arose. He gave a small chuckle when she told him that he shouldn't have revealed his less than flattering nickname.
"Don't you start," he said with the same playful teasing. She had asked what she should call him though, and it was then that he realized he hadn't told her his name. "Sky," he answered, since it was what he was called here. "My name is Sky," he properly introduced. "And what about you?" He was all too eager to know her name . . . for he sincerely hoped that today was not the only time they spent together. He found himself wanting to learn more about it, get to know her more. A feeling that he hadn't experienced in quite some time.

Persephone knew that he'd likely start asking about Maleficent when he learned that she was considered a villain.. He really didn't seem like the bad boy type, so it showed that he was likely a hero back in the Enchanted Forest. She wasn't going to lie..but she thought it best to attempt avoiding the truth, as well. "She only wants what everyone else wants," She mused, shrugging. "Her happy ending. I can't say that she's not going to hurt anyone.. but desperation can have a strange effect on people." She paused, and quirked a brow. "Maleficent is my only family here right now." It was the first lie she told him..but she didn't exactly what to lead with who her father was, and she knew he'd ask. She'd have to lie eventually.
"What about you? Family? Friends?" She asked with a small tilt of her head. "Or do you remain a man of mystery?" He could have told her anything, and she would have understood. Maybe he didn't want anyone to know who he was.. that was fair enough. Then again, deep down, she was feeling rather guilty for not feeling proud enough to proclaim herself as the daughter of Hades. Something was just telling her not to.. Yet.
He spoke of things, and people, being odd in this town, and she nodded in agreement. "Yeah.. i'm not exactly used to it all either. It's too bright and shiny if you ask me. All of the optimism makes me feel a little ill.." She scrunched up her nose as though she had just tasted something bitter. It was probably showing a little too much, that she was a villain herself. When he teased her not to start on the silly nicknames she grinned. "Fiiiine. Be a bore." She teased right back. He then introduced himself as Sky, and a smile crept on to her face. "I'm Persephone."

| She told him that Maleficent wanted the same as everyone else: a happy ending. He also knew that while everyone wanted this, the way in which one went about obtaining it was what separated a hero from a villain. But of course he was not going to say this. He didn't want to offend her as she had expressed how close her and Maleficent were. "With so many people with so much history . . . there's always going to be tension." They were all condensed into a small town and not every got along; here nor back in the Enchanted Forest. It was completely normal . . . only here, the tensions tended to grow into attacks when the extremely powerful villains had bones to pick with other people. She then confirmed that Maleficent was her only family here and Sky knew it was all the more reason not to say anything against her. He didn't even know her really; only what he had heard.
"That's good. That you have someone." He wanted to ask if she was with someone . . . a man. Friend. Person. Manfriend? No no. That didn't sound right . . . OH! A boyfriend. Yes. That's right; thats what they called it here. But it seemed a bit too personal and well, a little inappropriate . . . right? Maybe. Sort of. Kind of. Oh thank goodness she was asking him a question! It provided him with a distraction from internal ramblings!
"Friends and family, though I supposed they're one in the same." His friends were his family. Hercules, Zeus, Hera . . . wherever they all were. He didn't have any parents since he was created from the clouds. "I'm still looking for some of them," he admitted, leaving out names. "But it seems that everyone is looking for someone here." With the people popping up from no where and this curse, that curse . . . there was always someone who was missing.
"Though I do like how being a man of mystery sounds," he admitted with a smile. It was the first time he didn't mind calling himself a man as opposed to horse . . . because being human, meant he could speak to her and spend this kind of time with her. Her reaction to the town showed her clear distaste to it, and he wondered what she didn't like about it. Was it all the couples and love surrounding it? No. Surely not! She had her own family that she loved, so that couldn't be it. She said it was optimism. Was she, dark like Maleficent? Pegasus was quite the opposite. He enjoyed the optimism and seeing some of the people happy. But then again, that was not within everyones nature.
"Did you live in the Enchanted Forest before this?" He asked, aware that some people -- like Hercules and himself -- had been traveling and weren't actual residents of the realm. She called him a bore and he looked at her teasingly, a playfulness in his next words. "I just don't want to be known as personified candy that you would lick." He paused for a second, realizing how his words sounded. "That that you would want to lick me." Oh that sounded so wrong! "You or anyone else I mean," he quickly added. He was just digging his hole deeper. "I mean . . . um . . . Persephone is a really nice name!" There! He had finally managed to stop his flapping tongue before he said anything else that made him sounded like a babbling idiot . . . though it may be a little too late for that now.

Their conversation was progressing rather quickly. She was getting closer and closer to revealing secrets that she intended on keeping to herself. How was it, that someone she just met was pulling her in to some sort of trance where she wanted to talk about everything? It was alarming...and probably dangerous. It was clear he wasn't a villain.. he was far too kind, and gentle. He was a hero, or at least worked with them. She, on the other hand, was villainous, and cruel. But here she was..having a light hearted conversation with a fellow former equestrian. What was even happening here? "Yeah... a lot of tension." If only he knew. She took a breath and shrugged. "It is nice to have someone.. but sometimes, between you and I..something is missing."
Even Maleficent had fallen in love before. There was something strange going on between she and Hades.. could it have been love? Or at least, their version of it... Either way, love was something possible to her. She'd just never figure she'd find it. Too many men.. so little time. This one, however, was different. "I'm sorry that you haven't found your friends, or family yet... but if it's any consolation.. you can consider me a friend. Just.. don't go telling everyone. I've got a rep to protect." She teased with a small grin.
When he mentioned that he enjoyed the sound of being a man of mystery, she quietly laughed. "Yeah? Well then, I feel silly telling you all of my secrets." Gently, she bit her bottom lip. She could see that he was thinking.. thinking, and wondering what she was all about. Why she said the things she did. "You can ask, you know. If i'm dark... if i'm a villain. I won't lie." She tilted her head slightly to the side. "Or I could just cut the middle man and tell you... I guess you could say that i'm dark... if you want to look at it that way. But i'm not here to hurt anyone... and i'm certainly not going to start a war." She might be involved in one..but start one? More than likely not, at least without a good reason.
He then made the comment about being a candy.. and something about licking. A brow lifted, and she gave him half of a grin. It was cute, the way he was stuttering. She leaned in closer, and gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, I know what you meant." She then moved in even -closer-, and whispered softly against his ear. "But just for the record..I wouldn't be opposed to licking you. I bet you taste fantastic."

| A lot of tension . . . that was indeed true. He fortunately didn't have a great deal of enemies. And he was lucky that Hades hadn't made an appearance. Though he supposed the god was still trapped in the Underworld, where he belonged. Especially after the multiple attempts on Hercules' life. "And what's that?" He asked curiously. "What's missing do you think?" He elaborated. She expressed her condolence for him not having found his friend or family, offering him consolation by allowing him to refer to her as a friend. This caused him to brightly smile. "I would like that," he admitted. "And the offer is mutual. I know you already have family and friends here, but I would like to be in that category." He paused.
"The friend one," he clarified. Oh was that rude? Should he say that he could be like a brother to her? That felt wrong . . . brothers should not be physically attracted to their sisters. "What kind of reputation do you have?" He asked, wondering how others perceived her. She was quite kind with him . . . he couldn't imagine anyone had something cruel to say about her. But no sooner did he think that, that she revealed she was a villain. He felt a little disappointed at that, but then again . . . she hadn't done anything to him. "Everyone has a past," he said, trying to justify it. He shouldn't be falling for a villain when Hercules was the epitome of a hero. "That's good enough for me," he told her with a smile when she said that she wasn't here to hurt anyone or start wars. Though he feared that if there was a war . . . they would be fighting on opposite sides. Perhaps that was all very premature, considering he just met her.
"Dark, light, we're still people. Well, in this world anyway," he said in a bit of a teasing manner, making light of it for . . . he didn't want to start a debate with her about light versus dark. He was enjoying her company far too much to deliberately do or say anything to cause tension between them. He did after all have a tendency to speak before he thinks. She then began to lean forward and he felt his body stiffen a little, trying to school his expression, unsure of what he was displaying on his face. It was even better that she couldn't see it with her lips near his ear. Her warm breath over his skin, and the meaning of her words, caused a shiver to run through him . . . unlike any he had experienced before.
If he still had his tale, it would be flicking uncontrollably right now. He cleared his throat awkwardly, the words and gesture not unwelcome . . . but he wasn't exactly skilled in the arts of flirtation! As Pegasus, licking someone was a way he expressed his affections for that person. Apparently it was less socially acceptable to do it to friends or family here . . . it was more, kinky he had been told. "I uh . . . I've never tried it," he'd admitted, trying to keep his voice steady, though feared it was coming out a bit more shaky than he wanted. "I mean, not as a human." As Pegasus. Wait. "Not that I've licked myself . . . I just mean, I haven't done that. To anyone. Here. In . . . where we are." What was the name of the town again?! He was having trouble remembering, due to her close proximity and implications of her words.

When he asked her what was missing, she realized she had made a mistake. She was showing parts of her that she probably shouldn't.. and, well, as previously stated, she couldn't really bring herself to lie. Omit the truth from time to time, sure..but not lie. "What's missing?" She repeated his question, going silent for a moment before revealing the truth. "That feeling you get when you fall in love with someone. Whether you're a villain or a hero.. it doesn't matter. Everyone feels love, unless your heart is pulled from your chest. Mine isn't. Mine is still intact." She mused, keeping it as blunt as possible. "And i'd like that.. Don't worry. I knew what you meant." She gave him a small wink.
She could tell that he was a little less than excited about her being considered a villain, but there was nothing she could really do about that. "You're right," she mused. "We're all people here." She wanted to tell him why she had so much darkness inside of her.. but it was something she wasn't ready to speak of yet. She was enjoying her time with Sky far too much to bring up that bombshell. How would one even bring that up? So, I lied. My father is Hades, God of the Underworld. No, no. Now wasn't the time for it at all.
Instead, she was concentrating on his stammering, and how cute he was when he was nervous. The talk of licking others, while being a human at least, seemed to make him feel jittery and nervous..it made sense. It was definitely something intimate while in a human form. Much different than being a horse. "I can see for myself, then." She closed her eyes, and lightly brushed the tip of her tongue over the side of his neck before softly humming. "Mmm.. yep. I was right." She leaned back, and smiled, looking at his face. "Delicious."

Pegasus Tag: Persephone outfit: standard one
words: 671
notes: the darkness to his light!
| He listened intently when she began to answer his question about what was missing. Love. At least that revealed that she wasn't with someone . . . or well, that she wasn't in love with someone. He had never been in love himself; not as Pegasus, nor as Sky. He didn't know what it felt like. He knew what infatuation was; he had given Hercules hell for it when he saw how infatuated he was with Meg. But now, being in Persephone's company . . . he completely understood. "That's true," he admitted, thinking over her words carefully. "It is after all the most powerful force of them all." Whether it was the love of a parent, a sibling, a friend . . . or a lover.
"So you've . . . never been in love before?" He asked, the words escaping him before he had a chance to realize how personal they were. "Sorry," he quickly apologized. "It's a personal question. Perhaps not any of my business. I just . . . I've never experienced being in love before. So I was just curious as to what it felt like." He'd heard Hercules go on and on about it, but Pegasus had learned to tune it out. Now, he wished more than ever that he could ask his friend for advice on this subject. She agreed with him in that they were all people, and fortunately for them, they were two people who were able to ignore all the world, at least for a little while. Dark or light, villain or hero, they were still able to have a wonderful conversation and find enjoyment with each other. Well, at least he hoped she felt that way because he most certainly did. She began to say that she would see for herself and his eyes slightly widened at the words.
His body froze when he felt the warm and wet tip of her tongue leave a trail along his neck. It was a far better sensation than he had ever experienced before. As a man, he reacted quite differently than he would have as a horse . . . and he wasn't quite sure how to handle these knew, pleasurable feelings coursing through him. He was unable to say anything as she told him she was right, using the word delicious to describe him. He wasn't exactly overly experienced in these sort of intimate exchanges. He didn't think he had the courage to return the gesture . . . nor do what he saw many others do; connecting their mouths as a sign of romantic affection. Though some sort of male human instinct made him really want to. For he wanted to taste her too. "That was um . . . " He couldn't even speak coherently. A small touch from her had created such a reaction from him, that he felt a bit silly for it. Surely she would want someone who grew less flustered by all this.
"You can do that any time you lick-- I mean like! Anytime you like. You can . . . do that." He was just making himself sound more and more ridiculous. "It feels different as a human," he admitted in a low voice. "Good . . . different," he assured. He looked at her intently, wondering if he should be braver and try to kiss her . . . or if he would just make a grander fool of himself. Either way, he felt like an idiot. Though suddenly, being a lollipop didn't seem all too bad, especially being on the receiving end. "I'm . . . not really familiar with all this," he admitted. So much for trying to be all confident and suave with her. But she seemed like someone who knew what she was doing, and well, it wouldn't have taken her long to realize that wasn't quite as certain. She seemed rather good at reading him . . . his verbal diarrhea didn't make it too difficult either.

When asked if she'd ever been in love before, Persephone slowly shook her head. "No.. never." she admitted. There had been men, of course, but none of them had stuck with her. They were all just men who she used, and who used her as well. No love had been passed between them, by any means. She wasn't surprised when he spoke of how he'd never been in love before.. It wasn't a bad thing, either. It meant that he was lacking the same thing that she was.. never having felt love for another human. At least..not -that- kind of love. "If it's any consolation.. I'm kind of curious as to what it feels like too." Even though, she was slowly starting to learn.
Especially during the rather intimate moment they were sharing now. She had just removed her tongue from his neck, and he was stammering again. She really thought he was so adorable when he was doing that.. Being all sweet, and innocent. The best part about it was that he was being true, and real. It wasn't just an act. "It's okay," She spoke softly, lifting a hand and lightly touching his cheek. "I think I might be going a little too fast." Her face was still mere inches from his. "Want to know a secret?" She asked, lowering her voice to something that was slightly above a whisper. "I've never kissed anyone before..." It was the truth. She'd done all but kiss, really. "I've always seen it as being too intimate. I've never wanted to get close.." But suddenly, she was feeling her heart racing.
She wanted to kiss him.. She had never before felt an urge like this. "But I think i'm having a change of heart in that department."
