It was finally done...Hercules was dead, and no one was any the wiser that it was his loving wife who had done it. Poison was a woman's weapon, and she proved it to be perfectly suiting for her. There was one person.. Or rather, creature, who was suspicious, but who was going to believe a Pegasus? He never liked her anyway. But now that he was gone, she had somewhere to be.. She had people to speak to.
Everyone believed that Hades was trapped in the Underworld, after being sucked in to the River Styx, but she knew that he was still lurking beneath their feet.. Pondering how he was going to take over Mount Olympus. She figured she'd just give him that extra kick he needed.. And surely, the fates would have let him know that Hercules had perished. It was only a matter of time before he resurfaced.
She walked to a lake.. One that she knew would lead in to the depths of the underworld. It was a gateway. She knelt beside it and stared at her reflection. A smile curved on to her lips.. She wasn't ashamed. She felt no remorse. She was proud. She had done what no other God could do.. she destroyed Hercules.. by herself. "Hades," she called in to the water. "I know you can hear me. Why don't you show yourself to your old... friend." She cooed in a rather sarcastic voice.
It was true..they were never friends. In fact, for a very long time, she hated him. She hated all men.. And it was only a matter of time before she hated Hercules as well. It all started when they met a woman whom he was supposed to be friends with. She knew there was more.. She had even caught them in the act a few times. Wonder boy turned out to be just like the rest of them.
The only man who was ever straightforward with her was the God of the Underworld.. and perhaps that's who she should have stayed loyal to the entire time.
