It's Always Nice

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

How had it come to this?! The plan for the evening had been simple. Mary Margaret and David were going out on a date night, Henry would be staying with Regina, and Emma would be watching Neal. Hook had offered to keep her company and it would allow them to create their own litle quiet evening at home. Well, things didn't exactly go according to plan. For an emergency call for the Sheriff demanded Emma's intention and Hook was left here watching Neal. Which . . . well, he didn't exactly had vast experience with babies. Neal was asleep, so what could possibly go wrong? That was what he had been told as reassurance. But not too long after he was left alone with the baby . . . Neal stirred and cried into awakening. Hook looked down at him in the crib.

"What's the matter little lad?" He asked, as if the baby could verbally spout out a coherent response. As Killian was about to lean down to pick him up, that was when he smelled it. And boy, did it smell. "Bloody hell," Hook said as he made a face. "Uh, well . . . I don't suppose you know where your nappies are, do you?" Neal just responded by making small whimpering noises. Hook reached down to pick him up, scooping him into is arms as he led him over to the counter and set him down in the sink. "Right . . . well, let's see the damage." Very reluctantly, and with only two fingers, he began to undo the diaper -- which was a rather complicated contraption he might add.

"Aw mate! For such a little thing you make quite the mess, eh," Hook exclaimed, his face twisted with displeasure at what he saw. He proceeded to remove the diaper when all of a sudden, a liquid was spouting out of the boy. Bloody hell; it was pee! Hook quickly leaped back and threw a towel over the lower region of the baby -- as if that would stop it. But the pirate certainly didn't want to get pee all over him! Neal started crying again and as if there wasn't enough commotion, there was a knock at the door. Hook looked between Neal and the door, hoping -- praying -- that it was someone who could take over. Hell, even Henry probably had a better idea of what to expect. When he reached the door he quickly opened it to see a rather unexpected person on the other side. And . . . another baby. Oh. Bloody. Hell. "Greetings," he said with a bit of a smile.

i'm changing my life

Ashley knew that Sean was working late tonight and she had organised a playdate between Alex and Neal, so she began to pack up her daughter's bag with everything they needed. The plan had been for Ashley to drop her off and then see Sean at work, but, Sean had told her not to bother, since he would be too busy to see her, and, she'd be better off staying with their daughter. Ashley wouldn't say no to that, she loved their daughter so much. 

As she looked for spare diapers for Alex, she heard her starting to stir, and, she made her way over to the crib. "We're going to go see auntie Snow and auntie Emma. So just hold tight while I finish getting your stuff ready." Ashley then placed a kiss on her forehead, before continuing to gather her baby's stuff.

It felt weird to Ashley, she never got to be aunt Ella to little Emma, but, now she was aunt Emma to her daughter. She knew there wasn't a choice in that situation, since they were trying to protect their daughter. Ashley would've done the same thing for Alex if it came down to needing to.

After grabbing Alex's baby bag and placing it over her shoulder, Ashley pushed her blonde hair out from underneath the strap. Ashley made her way to her daughter's crib and picked her up, placing her gently on her hip. "COme on, we're going to go play with cousin Neal." Ashley clapped gently and smiled as her daughter did the same thing.

Gently Ashley locked the door and then gave Alex her bottle, as they both began the short walk from her and Sean's house to the apartment where Snow, Charming, Emma and Henry lived.

When she reached their apartment, Ashley knocked gently on the door, expecting to see Snow or Charming open it, even Emma or Henry. But, she didn't expect that pirate Hook to do so. They hadn't seen each other since he threatened her family's safety. She kept her daughter close to her side, before returning Hook's soft smile. "Hey there Hook."

TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

Like several others, Ashley was someone that Hook had a . . . well, less than amicable past with. He hadn't really spoken to her at length after his reformation, and he wondered if now was a good time to do that. Or, not. For he was unsure where he own head was at when it came to him. What he did know was that she was friends with the Charmings and Emma and he did want to ease any tension that may otherwise exist between them. His mind quickly went to her being here.

"Emma and the others have stepped out for the evening," he told her, more than confident that she wasn't here to see him. Her body language indicated as much as well. He opened his mouth to say something else, when he heard Neal start to cry. Letting out a heavy sighe, he closed his eyes for a brief moment before turning to tend to him. He left the door open in case she wishd to come in, unsure of how much she trusted being around him after what he had done to her in the past. He went to Neal who was still in the kitchen sink, and kept the towel wrapped aruond his lower region as looked at him, unsure what to do. He of course didn't fail to notice that Ashley had a baby, yet also knew he shouldn't ask for help right now. Or . . . should he?

Of all the people that Ashley had hoped to see answer the door, Hook was not one of them. Their last interaction hadn't ended all that well, and, she had almost lost both Alex and Sean. From what she'd heard from Emma and the Charmings Hook had changed in a way, but, she wasn't quite sure she was ready to forget about it yet. No-one threatens her and her family and gets away with it. But, at the same time Hook was important to Emma, so that made her want to at least try on some level. She owed Emma big time for helping her keep Alex in the first place, and, if being nice to this pirate was what that meant, then she would attempt to do that.

“Oh, well, um.” Ashley said, as Hook broke the silence between them. It must've been slightly important if they had all stepped out at the same time. Ashley was just glad to see them bonding in some way. Ashley noticed that Hook was going to say something, but, smiled as she heard little Neal crying. Ashley just stood at the door and watched Hook tend to the baby, but, leaving the door open. She could tell that the poor man needed help, but, she wasn't sure she wanted to give it to him. Of course it wouldn't be for him, it would be for Emma and the Charmings. Ashley made her way inside the apartment slowly, and, just stood there looking at Hook as he attempted to take care of Neal. She couldn't fight the chuckle escaping her lips as she noticed him lying in the sink with a towel wrapped around him. “Hey, let me help you.” Ashley said, as she went to put Alex down, and, then making her way towards Hook and Neal.
