.:Physical Appearance:. She is female. She has brown hair and green eyes. Most of the clothing she wears in Storybrooke is red. She works as a waitress at Granny's diner in Storybrooke.

.:Personality: . Red was always itching to get out of her village. She lived with her grandmother Granny and was trapped in their cottage every night and made to wear a red, magical cloak to ward off a werewolf that would stalk the woods nearby. When Red found Snow White fresh from her escape from the Huntsman, she and Granny took the young girl in and the two young ladies became best friends. Red was the wolf, a curse passed down through generations. The cloak was actually made to stop her from changing. Much like in the fairy tale land, Ruby dreamed of going off on an adventure. Ruby wears her rebellious streak on her sleeve with her clothes—or lack thereof—and by driving a red hot rod.

In a small village, Red Riding Hood is raised by her grandmother. She grows up not knowing her parents, and only that her mother died some time ago, as her granny told her. Ruby fell in love with Peter. They would meet at cottage window during the night.  During one period before the curse, Red finds her mother Anita.  They were separated because Granny didn't want her growing up as a wolf. With Anita's help, she learns to control herself while in wolf form.  

After curse: 
Ruby has argumentative disputed with Granny over getting the early shift at the diner.  Ruby's rebellious nature goes in hand with her wild style of fashion and makeup. It is usually a red themed outfit.  She wanted to leave Storybrooke and move to Boston.  Those plans are halted by Granny's sudden heart attack so Ruby has been working at the diner ever since.  Later on in Storybrooke, Ruby helps with trying to find a missing person.
