Ara smiled down at her swollen belly. "Any day now.." she said in soft tone to her husband, Damion. He smiled as he looked at her beautiful face all aglow. He could remember the first day he had seen her. He couldn't sleep that night and was staring up out of his window at a full moon, shining brightly into the dark room. He heard a clatter in the shop right beside the house, at first he didn't think anything of it, the donkey was in fact still in there by his walking wheel and he could've been having a restless night as well. It wasn't until he heard a more louder noise did he get up quickly without another thought, grabbing the pitch fork and slipping out and into his father's black smith's shop that would be his one day to take over. His eyes darted around looking for someone, or something. "Come out wolf.." he whispered just before he jumped behind the wall of wood where the donkey was, ready to attack. "Please!" a feminine voice plead holding up her hands. He stopped just in the nick of time before the sharp pitch fork drove through her skin and he quickly pulled it back, shaken. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude it's just.. so cold." she said holding herself. Her garments were of silk and velvet and by the look of her soft blemish free skin, she had never worked day in her life. Palace blood. "Here.." set down the fork and walked over getting a blanket then handing it to her. Little did he know he'd be falling in love with the Princess.
"Yes, any day now." A higher pitched male voice sounded through their bedroom. "You." Damion felt his heart became gripped with fear. "Oh, don't bother me, I just wanted to come see how my reward was coming along." "Reward?" Ara hissed looking at Damion, her eyes demanding answers. How could he forget.. the deal he had made. His words brought back Rumpelstiltskin's voice in his head. "You look like you're in a bit of bind." Damion's tear filled eyes looked up at the short man with the dark golden sparkled skin, if a man is even what you could call him. "Who are you?" he asked defensively. "I'm the answer to our problem, deary." He had Damion's attention now. "You want a princess. Treww love. " he said raising his black finger nailed hands. One finger came up as a grin widened on his face. "But daddy has other plans." "And how are you the answer to my problem?" Damion asked, skeptical. "I can give you what you want." Damion felt hope rise in his heart. "But it comes with a price." Rumpelstiltskin said with an evil grin.
"Tell me you didn't forget our little deal, King Damion." Rumpelstiltskin pressed, walking towards him, his movements were fluid. "I didn't forget.." he said in a very quiet tone. "Damion?" His wife inquired almost frantically. "Deal? what deal?" Rumpelstiltskin laughed shrilly before disappearing into purple smoke. Damion hadn't thought much of his deal with no reminder. His new life, for the life of his first born. He had an accident when he was younger, playing in his father's shop, causing half of his manhood to become damaged. He thought children were never going to be apart of his future. Now that there was an heir, he couldn't bare to part.
Ameris touched the golden locket around her neck softly as she stared out over the cliff at the sea of evergreen trees. She could feel the cold winter air bitting against her ivory skin as it whooshed past. She didn't have a clue what her parents looked like or even their names. Her locket with opal gems inside were the only piece of them she had left. According to her adopted family the gems were enchanted. No one with ill intent could touch her while she wore the necklace that held them. When they found her she was just a baby but she was wearing it.
"Becareful today.." a familiar voice said from beside her. She looked up at her oldest and dearest friend Silas as he stared back at her with great concern in his glowing blue eyes. "There is talk of an traitor to the evil queen afoot, trust me, that is a fight you don't want to be caught in the cross fire of. " she exhaled. "So much war.." Every day seemed to bring more horror, more death, more bad news. First the time of a rouge wolf was at it's peak, running rampid, killing. Now an evil queen was after someone who she felt wronged her. What next, the fairies get tired of ungrateful people and go on strike? "Very well.." he said before throwing her navy blue hood up and continuing to walk into the forest.
