Leo had a part of him missing. Which everyone had some kind of piece that they had in their own way. Snow had Charming. Marguerite had her sister. Emma had...well several people. But for Leo, not only did he not have his piece. His piece was seemingly unattainable. Even if he was able to find her, she wouldn't remember him. Which was a huge drag. But he had become exhaustively talented at hiding his grief. At least towards people who weren't paying attention.
"No, no. It's just a something I'm a little weird about. A lot of people think that he was just a killer and I happen to know that he had a reason for it. A certain fascination with him if you will." He said in an attempt to move past that particular conversation. He didn't really have anything in his own life, so his reputation was something he held onto with as much force as he could. The only problem with that was that he couldn't really tell anyone about his own secret. But perhaps that was another part of him that was cursed. Two people could keep a secret...if one of them was dead. Plus, who would want the stigma of knowing that the person they were talking to was an assassin?
He closed his eyes a laughed a little bit while he shook his head. "Yeah, as you can tell, I'm not all that used to talking to people. My social skills are a little lacking and putting my foot in my mouth seems to be the one thing that I'm particularly good at." He said once again trying to apologize for what he said. This whole making small talk with people seemed to be more difficult than he thought. "Thank you for being so understanding. It was in fact a compliment." Walking heel to toe with his hands behind his back. He took in a deep breath. "Are you identical twins or just happened to be born at the same time?"
In regards to the question he wanted to ask her, he raised a hand up. "It would appear that you don't like your mother very much. Can I ask why is that?" His reasoning behind it was that she said that she had hoped her mother wasn't around. He could find her and make sure she wouldn't bother her and her sister. But he was a little curious on the reason why. Plus, he was fairly certain that she didn't want her mother dead. Well, he was pretty sure so far. He thought about her offer for a moment and shrugged. "Sure, why not? It's one of the few places I actually know around here." Frozen yogurt, something definatley not available in the other realms he had traversed through.

Immediately as she entered and said hello, Leo leaned back in his chair, letting out a heavy breath, and threw the book on top of the stack of books. "Salutations my dear. I'm sure you're looking wonderful today, but I've been up for a while. So I'm going to get to the point rather quickly." He said finally standing up and grabbing one of the solid black katana blades. Walking over towards her, he drug the blade along the floor and reached into his pocket in which he pressed a button. The button sent a signal that blocked all incoming and outgoing calls in the area. "Now, if you run, I'm going to outrun you and things might get ugly. However..." Leo said running his free hand through his orange hair. "If you can help me find someone in all of these books, I'll let you keep all your fingers."
At first, he was going to make some more threatening threats, but his brain wasn't quiet working as fresh as it could have been. "I've been going through all these books for three days while you've been gone home with your husband The Dark One. And yet, I cannot find a book that says who is who from the Old World. Like how Snow White is Mary Margaret here. I know there's a book like that here. I just can't find it..." He said as his anger was starting to pour out. He closed his eyes for a second and then looked back at her. Pointing his blade at her, he asked her a simple question. "Belle, tell me what you know about Teh Hasfa et Savet, aka, He Who Wanders, aka, The Wanderer." So maybe it wasn't quiet a question. It was more of a command. But it was meant to be a question. Depending on her answer, she would either impress him and leave completely safe. Or, she could be ignorant, upset his already stressed brain, and cause him to do something that wasn't exactly proper. Like cutting off a few of her vital digits. Or threaten her loved ones, if personal harm wasn't an issue.
The fact was, he didn't want to hurt her or her loved ones. But he had been in Storybrooke for too long without making any real progress on finding his loved one. If anyone could understand what he's going through, it would be Belle. But being sweet and polite wasn't going to work right now. He had to be cast in a more villainous light to keep face of The Wanderer. That way, when she inevitably told Rumpel about him, Rumpel might think twice before trying to take his normal show of force.
Note: The gold letters are a few words I made up for the post. But all scholars know his various aliases and exactly how great of an assassin he is. He never, ever misses a target. He's started wars between territories being an information broker. Note 2: If you want some more information on his curse or his current situation or his reputation as an assassin, feel free to PM me, I don't mind answering any of those questions.

A big smile graced his face, so much so that his pearly whites peeked out. "You're very welcome. At least I said something right today." Leo said chuckling. The fact that she was trying at all was an achievement that most people couldn't quiet say they achieved. People don't change...People don't change. It's a philosophy of life that he had lived off of for most of his unnatural cursed life. Well, people changed when change was forced on them. But a killer is a killer. A thief is a thief. An alcoholic is a drunk. However, there are some people that genuinely try to change. And that was worthy of an applause.
At first he felt offended. His moniker was known throughout all the kingdoms and quiet a few of the realms. He was one of the most of notorious assassins in all of the realms and she thought he was talking about a band. But, in order to not show his frustration, he chuckled and waved it off. "No darling, The Wanderer is a pretty famous assassin from the Old World. A real Legend. A guy who made entire territories tremble. It's even rumored that he was the only person who successfully stole from The Dark One and got away completely clean." He said holding his head up a little higher. He remembered that day. He even faced Rumpel and talked his way out. It was a moment of triumph. "Blue Sarah is more of a myth. No one know if Blue Sarah is a male or female or even a group of people. Blue Sarah doesn't do assassinations like The Wanderer. Blue Sarah gathers information for The Wanderer. And he, she, or they are willing to do anything to get the items or information they need."
But then he realized that he was getting ahead of himself a little bit. He was probably boring her. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to run on and on about it. I've heard a lot of rumors and such by roaming around. I was just going to warn you to look out for either one of them. They're dangerous and they aren't afraid to get their hands dirty." He said turning to face her a bit. He was still looking for information on his lost love. He figured that if he could paint a horrible picture of himself, protect her against himself, and gain some of her trust, he could get some information directly. "If you'd like, I could give you my number and if this guy bothers you, I could sweep in and rescue you." He said half-jokingly and half-witty.
Leo chuckled at her statement. "I suppose it could be that reason." He followed up with a grin on his face. "Twins...nice..." He said laughing a little bit and then realized at how that could be taken. "I'm not saying...you know...the whole twin thing..." He kept stumbling over his words. "What I meant to say is that it's cool that you're a twin. Two beautiful women in the world reconnected and having a second chance. You know, I have a little question if you don't mind humoring me." Leo said continuing to walk forward. Then they came to his favorite store in Storybrooke, the frozen yogurt shop. He looked up at it with big puppy dog eyes.

Leo had broken into the library the night before after he was sure that Belle had already closed up for the night. He needed to take a look through the records that the library had. Actually, he wasn't sure if what he needed was even in the building. But it was worth a shot. Being an assassin, thief, and extremely efficient blackmailer, he was accustomed to finding information. After canvasing Storybrooke and talking with some of the locals, he had turned up nothing. Apparently, being a good guy wasn't getting him any closer to finding the girl he was looking for. So now, he was going to have to start working on the other side of the fence. Threatening seemed like a good place to start.
Leo was dressed in some relatively normal clothing. He was in a black turtle neck sweater, some black baggy cargo pants, a pair of black running shoes, and a black hairband. The only thing that wasn't black on him was his hair. It was a bright orange color. He had worn this outfit a few day before, but it he had been too pre-occupied to go clothe shopping. Plus, he hadn't stolen from anyone in a while. It seemed that no one in this town was looking for a hired killer. Which was alright for right now. He didn't want the stench of his profession to follow him when he did actually find who he was looking for. Leo looked down at his iPhone and wandered what time Belle would eventually walk through the door.
He sat at a table with tons of books surrounding him and with two finely crafted katana swords on the table in front of him. Both of them within arms reach, but hidden enough by the books that they weren't completely apparent. Something that also laid next to him were a bunch of silver and blue cans of Red Bull. It was obvious that he had been up for at least a day, if not longer. Although his appearance looked a bit weary, his focus seemed complete on the task at hand. Blinking, he flipped the page of the book and continued to skim the pages. While he was trying to find information, and mostly failing, he had discovered a some works of fictions that he enjoyed reading.
Note: Sorry for re-using the same picture from another thread. I was a little tired and didn't feel like finding another picture. Note 2: Humorously, he pronounces the iPod as ip-od. Leo smiled in response to her agreement. How nice it would have been to have a second chance. Maybe he wouldn't have made the same mistakes he had in the past. He would still be with the woman he loved. Now, because he had to cross Regina and the Dark One, he was denied his happy ending. "Well, it appears that your second chance is working out rather well for you. I mean, you seem like one of the few people who have actually taken advantage of their second chances." From the conversation they've had, and from what Leo remembered, she seemed very different than she was back in the Old World. "I have a question for you. Have you ever heard of the rumors surrounding a guy named The Wanderer and Blue Sarah?" He asked curious to know how much she knew.
A laugh came from Leo as she told him his tale was rather unbelievable. "Trust me, it was an odd turn events. All I saw was this large cloud of purple smoke billowing towards me. And from hearing what I've heard, I figured it was Regina's curse. And even if it wasn't that, I knew I didn't want to get caught in it." He said still chuckling from it. The Wanderer had eyes and ears everywhere. In all of the kingdoms and territories. A person couldn't be a successful assassin, thief, and blackmailer without information and spies. And Leo had built the perfect spy network. With all of his information, he was able to complete every job he had accepted.
He wasn't insulting her. He was more insulting all of the major players in town. Regina and Rumpelstiltskin used to dress so interestingly. And now they wore suits. Business suits. Snow wore baby blue dresses. Charming wore blue jeans and a tee-shirt. "That's true. It can be very useful too. But sometimes, it's nice to be different. And the best thing about it..." He leaned in to her a little bit like he was telling her a secret. "It's amazing to not care what other people think about you." No pressure. No expectations. No one thinking you should be perfect. Like he had assumed her mother wanted her to be. "I think you'd look hot with pink stripe through you're hair." He said laughing a little.
Smiling as she linked her arm he started walking with her. He wasn't quiet sure what had happened to chivalry in this realm, but he was a little old fashioned anyways. "Well, that's wonderful that you have a sister that's still around. And it's even more wonderful that you two were able to connect here. Were you close back in the Old World?" He asked hoping that she wouldn't flip the attention back towards him and start asking him personal questions. He was pretty good at avoiding questions, but he kind of liked her. She seemed like she changed from the person that she was. And that was a good enough reason to not out-right lie to her. But if the situation could be avoided, that would be preferable.

"I don't think we have. I wasn't anyone really important back there. I..." Leo started to say and than thought about his answer. "I just kind of wandered around from town to town. Doing jobs that needed to be done. I was working in a smaller kingdom on the border. One that was particularly known for it's silks." He said hoping that she would just chalk it up to his good memory. "Don't worry, when everyone was pulled over here, it was like they got a second chance." He said smiling a looking down for a moment. A second chance...That would be awesome. Unfortunately, as a cursed assassin with a renown legend, second chances weren't in his future. Sure, his curse could be broken by True Love's Kiss. But his true love wouldn't recognize him even if he did know where she was. A curse that couldn't be broken.
Discussing his past was always a bit difficult. The details of his past were seared inside his brain, but, it was always hard to put in words and not give too much of himself away. Not that it matters. At midnight, they'd forget about him anyways. "Well... Most people don't really believe it. But I was actually on my way out of the Forest. I was on a boat to a kingdom called Arendelle. Normally, the ship I was on wouldn't have been able to outrun the curse, but everyone was abandoning the ship. So, I started pushing off the cannons and everything else that was heavy. Luckily, I just barely squeaked by it." True, it sounded far fetched, but it was what happened. Because he had lucked out, he didn't get caught up in the first curse.
Leo chuckled for a moment. She wouldn't remember his face, but it was alright. He smiled anyways and nodded. "I would like that. You know why I dye my hair such odd colors?" He said putting his hands behind his back. "It's to stand out a bit. Everyone around here walks around so normal and..." He closed his eyes and then had an almost guilty look on his face. "...and boring. No offense sweetheart. You're rather gorgeous. But our dear Snow White, Emma, and even Mr. Gold just look so plain." He said looking back into the town for a moment before returning his eyes back to Marguerite.
"Wonderful." He said smiling and holding his arm out for her's. He noticed that not too many people did it around here anymore. It used to be a sign of respect when a guy offered his arm out for a lady's. "So, did your family come with you in the curse or were they left in the old world?" He said in an attempt to bring up some small talk for the two of them. Of course, he wanted to get some information out of her since she had been there for so much longer than he had. But still, there was no reason why he couldn't be civil towards her. He was, at one time, a really good guy. Beloved by his people. Now, if people recognized his face, they would know him as a cold blooded killer. Which actually wasn't the case. He was an assassin. Not a serial killer.
Note: She wouldn't remember him as he's been erased from history due to his own curse. Note 2: I'm SO sorry it took so long. I've got some personal issues at home that are keeping my muse on lock down. I feel like a total ass for it.

Leo's plan couldn't have worked better. Rumpelstiltskin was so focused on getting this 'messenger' out of his castle then paying attention to his surroundings. And more importantly, on his possessions. Leo could have been wrapped in the Dark One's gold thread and he would have been able to leave without being searched by Rumpelstiltskin. Or maybe that was just Leo's pride starting to come out. But the fact was, Rumpel wasn't going to risk starting a war with the Wanderer by excessively insulting his 'messenger'. And with that little bit of knowledge, Leo was sure he'd be able to get out just fine.
Taking the card back from Rumpel's hand gently, he smiled and nodded. "Thank you Rumpelstiltskin. On behalf of my employer, he and I apologize for bothering you. Also, I'd like to give you some information, free of charge." He said bowing a little bit to help sell his generosity. "There was a man hanging around the west section of your palace. And I feel obligated to inform you that he can transform into a wolf." Leo said smiling and heading towards the large doors. As he got to the doors, he turned back towards Rumpel to see that he hadn't moved from his spot. "One last thing and I'll take my leave. He Who Wanders is gathering information on the Queen of the Enchanted Forest. If you change your mind on wanting to deal with him, don't hesitate to contact Red Sarah. She's one of the few people who can contact him."
Waiting for Rumpelstiltskin's reply before he opened the door, he smiled and nodded before leaving. Closing the door behind him, he heard the lock click almost immediately. He had actually done it. He had been the first person to steal from the Dark One and get away with it. Scott free. Not only did he successfully steal from the Dark One, he had lied to him to his face and he believed it. And not only did he accomplish all of that, his nickname, his persona, had made Rumpelstiltskin flinch. To have the Dark One blink, that was a feat that not many people had accomplished. But right now, he needed to disappear. He had to quickly escape the grounds. That way, he could keep his legend intact. So, without another moment passing, he decided to run into the forest. As he worked in and out of the trees, he didn't bother looking back. Either Rumpel was going to appear in front of him, or he was going to get away free. Looking back over his shoulder wouldn't change anything.

Leo kept going through his mind palace trying to place where he had seen her face. And then it hit him. She had attended one of the last balls he threw back in his kingdom. Back when it was still his kingdom. "You know... I've seen you before in the old world." He said smiling. Obviously beside himself that he was able to remember her face. He would have told himself that hew as good at remembering faces...but he was good at remembering everything. Another part of his curse. The old world was what he called the Enchanted Forest. "I'm so sorry again. It seems I'm being extremely rude today. I'm just not used to talking to people. My manners seem to absent." He said intertwining his fingers together and put his weight on his knees, leaning forward a little bit.
"How do I know you haven't drugged that? Are you planning to drug me and kidnap me?" Leo said teasingly. He took the bottle of water from her gently and smiled at her. Twisting the cap off, he drank the remainder of the water and tossed it in a nearby trash receptacle. She was very trusting and very kind. Which was the exact opposite of what he remembered her to be from the old world. She was...well...she was quiet a bitch from what he remembered. Not to him or his soon-to-be wife, but to the servants. He had almost asked her to leave but his attention was drawn somewhere else. "I'm sorry about the odd question about the bottle of water. I haven't been in Storybrooke for very long. I..." He started to think how he was going to explain it. "I missed the first curse. I was in a different kingdom when it was enacted."
Leo was around when Peter Pan had tried to enact his own curse against Storybrooke. He had a plan to reverse Peter Pan's curse, but things worked out. They always seemed to work out. Somehow, The Charming squad always seemed to get ahead. Maybe the whole heroes get happy ending thing had some validity. Which means...he most probably definatley wasn't getting a happy ending. He had done way too many bad things to get a happy ending. "I agree, music has always been important. And until time ends, it'll keep on being important." He said with a smile. This definatley wasn't the same girl he met way back when. "It's an absolute pleasure to meet you Marguerite. Would you care to walk with me? Maybe you can show me where a good market place is." He said with a charming, bright white smile.
Note: The Old World. He finds a certain humor in refusing to call the Enchanted Forest by it's name. Note 2: I could just see Marguerite in a beautiful pink fluffy dress.

Leo sat up, able to hear the music from the earphones. Or were they headphones? He couldn't remember what the sneezing guy called them at the store he stole them from. Sure, Leo had plenty of money already in this new land. He was still plying his trade as a thief in this world. He was also an assassin, but no one knew that The Wanderer had found a way into this world yet. So, no one tried contacting him to put in a contract hit on anyone else. Which was fine with him right now. He didn't need the money and he still wanted to keep a low profile. At least for now that's what he wanted. When he was ready to start his plan, that's when he needed all the important people of Storybrooke to know about his return. But that was the easiest part of his upcoming plan. The rest of his plan was going to be much more involved.
He was lost in his own thoughts, like usual. With his outer appearance, most people tended to stay away from him in this world. So he was completely shocked when someone he had never seen before jogged up to him and greeted him. He looked behind him to see if she was talking to someone else. "Uhhh...Hello." He said realizing that she was in fact addressing him. When he saw her sitting on the concrete bench next to him, he was even a little more confused. Her face looked semi-familiar to him. He had seen her somewhere before. But it was from the old world. He started looking through his memories. Had she contracted him as The Wanderer? Nope. She wasn't a potential target because she'd be dead.
"I'm doing well. A little thirsty." He said seeing her bottle of water that she took a drink from. "Do you know where I could get one of those?" He said pointing at her bottle as he hit the pause button on his I-Pod. "I'm sorry, where are my manners? How are you?" Leo said making a smile form on his face. He had practiced for decades at making the proper facial expressions to convey particular emotions. Wrapping the white headphones around the I-Pod, he tucked it into his pocket. He knew that introductions were coming soon which meant that he needed to give her a name to call him by. Not that it mattered. At midnight she'd forget ever meeting him. Holding his hand out, "My name's Leo." Her face was still bugging him...
Note: He'll place her face in the next post. Note 2: Yay for finally getting someone to experience his curse!

Leo stood there with his arms behind his back, turning with the the Dark One as he was circled."The door was unlocked when I entered. There was a pretty brunette who entered that door..." He said pointing at the door in question, "And by the time I made it in this room, she was already heading out of that door..." Leo said pointing at the door at the other end of the large room. Leo felt that he gave a good excuse. From all of his research, she was free to come and go as she pleased, and she wasn't as near as careful about security as Rumpelstiltskin was. It appeared to him that he wasn't having much success passing this lie.
But it wasn't the first time that Leo had lied to the Dark One. A story that would have been in the fairy tales if the repercussion wouldn't had been so extreme. Once upon a time, Leo was the duke of a small kingdom that bordered the Enchanted Forest. His kingdom was known for it's perfect silk. It was rumored that they had a magical moth that never died. One day, Queen Regina decided to pay the kingdom a visit. She demanded that he sell to her kingdom alone and take a substantial decrease on how much he charged. Needless to say, Leo declined her generous offer. After a heated argument, Regina vowed to wage a war against his kingdom. Knowing that his kingdom couldn't take on the full might of Regina's wrath, he went to the man that stood before him now. Bargaining with Rumpelstiltskin, he told him he'd give him his kingdom's treasured moth in trade for getting Regina to leave his kingdom alone. Seeing how it would mean his kingdom's collapse either way, Rumpelstiltskin decided to oblige the duke. Curbing Regina's wrath, he went back to claim his side of the bargain. And Leo upheld his end, he gave the moth to the Dark One. And Rumpelstiltskin was furious when he got back to his castle and the moth died. Immediately going back to Leo's kingdom, he demanded his reward. But Leo had given him the moth that produced the silk for his kingdom. But then he informed Rumpelstiltskin that it wasn't the moth that was immortal, it was the magic in the room they kept the moth in that kept it alive. Furious, Rumpelstiltskin went to Regina and convinced her to help him cast one of the worst curses in history. The Grey Fox curse. It made Leo immortal, but at the cost that no one, not even Rumpel or Regina, would remember his face twenty four hours after meeting him.
And here he was now. Lying to him once again. When he saw that Rumpelstiltskin was slightly curious, he decided to press forward a little bit. "My employer is willing to do you a future favor...for free." He knew that he had to follow up with why a favor from his employer would be beneficial to the Dark One. Pulling out a tarot card, he handed it to Rumpelstiltskin. Seeing the look on Rumpel's face was worth getting caught over it. "And to answer your question, oh Dark One, to why my face is painted is simply because he..." Leo said pointing at the card, "commands me to. It's a distinguishing mark so that those who mess with me have to compete with him." Him...The One Who Wanders. The most skilled thief and assassin known throughout the territories. If anyone could find Rumpelstiltskin's dagger, it was him. There were many rumors. Some of the most popular ones was that The Wanderer wasn't one man. It was many people. Another rumor was that he had magic more powerful than the Dark One. And yet another was that he could steal a person's underwear while talking to them in the eye. His reputation was so great that even the Dark One would hesitate double crossing him.

As soon as Leo heard the lock unlock, he darted over to the table and leaned against it. He put on the most blank expression he could. And then he heard that voice. The voice that seemed to be the bane of his existence. It was the man who ruined his now eternal life. But he couldn't let anger control his motives now. If he was going to be known as the man who stole from the Dark One, he was going to have to play this calmly. "I'm..." Leo started and thought for a moment. He cleared his throat and took a step toward Rumpelstiltskin. "My name is Ethan Nigma. I come from a small kingdom on the outer border of the Enchanted Forest. I was sent here by a man to make an offer to you. To see if you're interested in making a deal." He said hoping that one his more common aliases didn't ring a bell with Rumpelstiltskin.
In order to remain anonymous when he met with potential employers, he used a various amount of different aliases. After he got the details of the job they wanted done, he waited two days and showed up. He would only have to wait a day for the curse to do it's job and erase the knowledge of his appearance to the employer. But he waited two days to be safe. Some people, people with a strong sense of magic, could generally remember him a little bit after the first day. But no one remembered what he looked like after two days. "My employer wishes to know if you had a magical item that could hold an unlimited number of items. Regardless of size." He said putting both of his hands behind his back.
He figured that Rumpelstiltskin could respond in one of two ways. He could either refuse to deal with him or ask him who his employer was. There was a small chance that the Dark One would take the bait and deal with him directly. But he doubted that Rumpelstiltskin was that foolish. From the rumors he had heard, and he heard all of them, Rumpelstiltskin never worked through an intermediary. Luckily for himself, the Wanderer only worked through intermediaries. That way, his identity was always safe. He had a system set up so he only ever had to meet with clients twice. Once as the intermediary and once as the Wanderer. It also helped the employer feel more safe and in control that he got some face time with the man he or she was hiring.

Leo continued to stay just outside of the barrier that alerted Rumpelstiltskin that someone was in the vicinity of his castle. He had been watching Rumpelstiltskin's coming and goings for several weeks. Studying the comings and goings of the Dark One. The people who came to him in search of help. The girl that he had brought to his castle to clean it for him. He studied her schedule when she brought the clothes and sheets out to be washed. He had ran several experiments on the alerting barrier of Rumpelstiltskin's castle. Timing how long it took him to respond to someone approaching it. He really did all of his research. There was no point finding structural weaknesses of the castle because in that sense, it was unbreachable. Something that Leo had never seen before in the past. So there was no point in looking for it.
The Wanderer used the curse that the Queen and the Dark One put on him to his advantage. Because not even Rumpelstiltskin could remember him if he saw him, he could spend as much time as he needed researching the castle as he needed. Leo didn't have so much a plan to steal something specifically from the Dark One as he just wanted to pester him. Luckily, he already had eternal life thanks to the curse. What was the Dark One going to do to him? Curse him again? Rumpelstiltskin seriously underestimated the abilities of the former Duke. Next, Leo was going to visit the Queen's castle and do the same thing he was going to do to Rumpelstiltskin.
He was dressed in all black. A black tunic, a black pair of pants, a black cape, and a pair of black leather boots. His hair was down to his shoulders and it was a dirty blonde color. He also put some black paint over his eyes and on his lips. As he the sun set, he watched the pretty brunette go up to the library tower. Grinning, tonight was going to be the night. Sliding down the steep hill he had perched upon, he moved swiftly through the forest that was between him and his destination. When he hit the wall, he scaled it just as swiftly and ducked next to the door of the castle. Holding his position for a moment to see if Rumpelstiltskin was going to come out, he took a breath. When he was satisfied, he opened the door softly and ducked into the hallway. As he continued to check his surroundings, he took off down the hallway and found the door to the room he had seen Rumpelstiltskin in the most. Kneeling beside the door, he grinned to himself and pulled to small tools from the inside of his cloak. Putting them in the keyhole, it only took a minute before he found all the tumblers and put them into place to unlock the door. He pushed the door open and there he saw the wheel. The wheel where Rumpelstiltskin spun straw into gold. He walked over to it and pulled the needle off of it. Sticking it in his belt behind his back, he turned around to make his exit. And then...he heard the lock on the door unlock on itself.

Leo laid on the cement table that overlooked the massive body of water behind the town. Laying there looking up at the sky as the clouds flew by overhead. While it was sunny with some cloud coverage, is was a relatively chilly day in the small town hidden in Maine. If it wasn't for his chest moving up and down, someone might have mistaken him for a dead person. He didn't move at all except for the occasional shifting of his hands or arms that were crossed over his arms. Finally, he had made it to the town called Storybrooke. He knew she was here. But Storybrooke wasn't exactly a small town. And Regina...the queen...brought a ton of denizens from the Enchanted Forest to the town. But he wasn't worried about that. He was formulating a plan that was going to take a while to put into practice. If he couldn't find her, he would have the 'heroes' of Storybrooke find her for him. Even if it was against their will.
Leo had just freshly dyed his hair a neon orange last night. It was amazing the technology of this land. He thought the ability to change things about his appearance nearly at will was pretty amazing. Maybe if his appearance was more elaborate it would help people remember him for more than a day. Maybe the technology of this land would help him beat his curse. Then he started doubting that. Taking a deep breath in, he tugged the sleeves of his black, pinstripe turtleneck sweater a little further down his arms. His pants were a pair of black, baggy cargo pants. A pair of black running shoes adorned his feet. On top of his chest lay a black device called an I-Pod. A pair of white headphones traveled from the device up to his ears. The song that was playing was humorously called, "The Wanderer" by Dion and the Belmonts.
As he listened to the song and watched the clouds, he chuckled to himself. Back in the Enchanted Forest, he was known as The Wanderer. He was an amazing thief and skilled assassin. Although, when there were no jobs to be done, he occasionally played as a bard in the local tavern. No one knew what he looked like, all they knew was that he left a tarot card entitled The Wanderer. So the fact that he was now listening to a song that used his moniker, he thought that was amazing. He hadn't been sure how long he had been laying there, but he didn't have anywhere to go. But he was getting thirsty, so he sat up and started scanning the area for someone to ask if they knew where he could get a drink.
Note: Located by the Docks Note 2: He pronounces the I-Pod an ip-pod. Song: The Wanderer- Dion and the Belmonts

Leo walked into the Rabbit Hole and looked around for a few moments before walking over to the jukebox. Without a moment to look at the song lists, he put in a dollar and hit a few of the numbers. After that, he walked over to the bar and signaled the bartender. "Can I get a glass of ice and your most expensive scotch?" The bartender looked at him for a moment, not recognizing the guy. "If you want the bottle, we'll need to set you up with a tab first." The bartender said to him. Not even looking up, Leo pulled out a wad of hundred dollar bills and tossed it on the bar. "That'll cover it." The bartender said scooping up a tumbler of ice and grabbing a bottle that looked ancient. It had long lost it's label. "Thank you..." Leo said as he started pouring the scotch into his glass. Setting the bottle down, he scooped up the glass and drank it all at once.
There were a few people who looked at this guy and whispered to each other. No one seemed to recognize him but it seemed like he was a regular. Finally, the track that had started playing when he entered the bar had ended. And his song was up. Listening to the old tune and nodding his head to it, Leo poured himself another drink. He was an odd looking guy compared to the denizens of Storybrooke. He had long blonde hair that had electric blue streaks in it. He had a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm. And he was only dressed in a black leather jacket, white muscle shirt, a pair of baggy black pants, and some black boots. Considering they were in Maine, one would thing he would dress warmer. But Leo wasn't worried what everyone thought about him. They wouldn't remember him tomorrow.

PB: Nina Dobrev • Current Job: Nurse or Doctor • Old World: Duchess • KindWhen you walk away You don't hear me say, "Please, oh baby, don't go." Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight It's hard to let it go THE life AND lies...
This beautiful lady is the love The Wanderer's life. Her and Leo were childhood friends in the Enchanted Forest. Leo, and his brother, were the son's of the king of their small kingdom. Leo's brother was the older one and became the king when their father died. But Leo was happy with being the Duke of the kingdom. But Isabella didn't have any royal connections. She and Leo met one fateful day by the river that was in the forest near their kingdom.
Leo had snuck out of the kingdom in order to have some fun by the river when he heard someone flailing about in the water. Seeing someone in the river, Leo jumped in without a second thought in order to rescue the drowning person. When he saved her, he attempted to give her CPR, but she wasn't quiet to that point. She screamed, slapped him, and ran off. Later, when her mother found out what happened, she was marched into the castle and made to apologize. But instead of the apology, the two started developing a friendship. As their friendship started blooming, so did their romance. It was slow at first but both of them knew it was coming.
According to the law of his kingdom, a King couldn't marry a commoner. But Leo wasn't a King. He was a Duke. So their relationship was free to carry on. Leo's brother went to battle with his generals and sacrificed his life to save his kingdom. Forcing Leo to take the throne. But instead of taking the title of King, he decided to keep the title of Duke. So he could be with the woman he loved. Their plan was to take the title of King and Queen when they produced an heir.
Unfortunately, Regina had turned her attention onto their kingdom. Making a deal with the Dark One, Leo was able to protect his kingdom. But tricking the Dark One and angering the Evil Queen comes with consequences. And in one day, Isabella's life was changed as the man she loved was torn from everyone's memories. And she was swept away to Storybrooke.
THE present AND future...
Isabella works in the ER in the hospital in Storybrooke. Either as a nurse or doctor. Somewhere where she can help people, as it's in her nature. However, she, along with everyone else, has no memories of her soul mate Leo. Due to his curse, any memories she would have had of him were filled in with normal memories of what a normal day would have been for her. She could have gotten into a relationship with someone else but always had this nagging feeling in her heart. Or she could have just stayed single. But I think there is more plot fun if, due to Regina's curse, she was in a relationship with another guy but slowly realizes each time she see's Leo that she doesn't love the guy she's with.
I have an idea that when Leo finally finds her, he keeps hurting himself or getting hurt in order to get to the ER in order to see her. The two of them could slowly bond, although her memories would keep getting wiped. However, due to their love, a small feeling that she recognizes him tends to stick in her head. When it's their turn to fall in love, she could be getting mugged or some other horrible situation in which Leo saves her. She realizes that she loves him, they kiss, and BAM! His curse is finally broken.
Ok, so most of the above could be changed around. I just figured I'd give a basic template with what I have in my mind. I'm willing to work out anything if you'd like to contact me and talk to me about it. I also don't mind giving you the specifics of Leo's curse and some of what his history is and why his nickname is The Wanderer. So, if you're interested, please shoot me a PM. Also, her name is changeable. I just figured I'd put a baseline name there.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this and I hope it's peaked your interest. Cheers!
