Maleficent and her daughter had a lot to talk about. She was sure that Lily had a million questions for her, and Maleficent was happy to answer everything that she possibly could have. There was never going to be anything to stifle the guilt that she felt for Lily having to grow up without her mother, but she was going to make it up to her in any way possible. Currently, she was sitting on a bench on the docks, overlooking the water. She looked at the necklace that Lily was holding, and she gave her a small smile. "I'm so glad you kept it all of these years, Lily." Lily. Named after a flower. Ugh. Oh well. It was a nice enough name, she supposed. She was beautiful.. it fit her well.
"That necklace came from..." she paused. This girl had only just found out that she was a dragon.. how would she explain that she was.. well..hatched? Just like pulling off a bandaid, Maleficent supposed. "It came from the egg you hatched from." She crossed one leg over the other and leaned back against the bench. "Don't get all freaked out now.. you were born a beautiful baby, so i'm told. I didn't get to see you." She could feel her heart aching as she thought of the moment when Snow White and Prince Charming took her little girl away. As a mother, she could understand.. but also as a mother..she was still bitter toward them for what they had done. "What was life like for you, growing up? Was your family good to you?"
